Fixed the last post so that the pictures actually show up now. Darn joke didn't fix itself so I had to do it manually.

            Final Four

            vs.
            102 - 82
            Player of the game:
            Steven Hiller - 22 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 blocks

Duke was just too much for the Gators. The combination of super freshman Steven Hiller and the #13 recruit in the nation Simon George coming off the bench destroyed Florida's chances at another championship game this decade. The Blue Devils will stay in Indianapolis to try and defend their title and win back to back championships.

            vs.
            88 - 78
            Player of the game:
            Jordan Hill - 16 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk

Arizona is still disappointed about their horrible performance in last year's championship game, but now they will have a chance for redemption against the very team that handed them the loss last season. Sherron Collins managed to keep his team in it during the first half, but mistakes by the young Jayhawks cost them in the 2nd allowing Arizona to pull away.

              Duke Wins 2010 NCAA Championship

              Scoreboard
              (2) Arizona
              43
              39
              82
              (1) Duke «
              31
              52
              83

              Player of the Game:
Kyle Singler: 33 pts, 7 reb, 4 stl, 2 blk

For the 2nd straight year Duke has beaten Arizona in the championship game. This year was much more dramatic, as Arizona blew a 12 point halftime lead only to lose because of a Kyle Singler bucket with 2.2 seconds remaining.

Jordan Hill and Chuck Bartowski both got into foul trouble in the second half, which allowed the Blue Devils to eat away at the lead. Kyle Singler scored 23 of his 33 points in the 2nd to lead Duke to back-to-back titles.

Nolan Smith: 12 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl
Jon Scheyer: 5 pts, 8 reb, 9 ast
Steven Hiller: 8 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast, blk
Kyle Singler: 33 pts, 7 reb, 4 stl, 2 blk
              Taylor King: 5 pts

Phil Westphal: 13 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast
              Lance Thomas: 4 pts

Nic Wise: 3 pts, 2 reb, 3 ast, stl
Sergio Linebaugh: 10 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast
Jamelle Horne: 4 pts, 2 reb, ast (0-3 FG, scored 25 in last year's championship)
Jordan Hill: 15 pts, 7 reb, ast, stl, blk
Chuck Bartowski: 14 pts, 8 reb, 3 blk

Garrison Martin: 15 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast
Sead Bathie: 12 pts, 2 reb, 3 ast, stl

Coach Matthews To Leave North Florida?
                  April 6, 2010

Jacksonville, FL - Just shortly after the college basketball season officially ended, rumors started coming out about North Florida Ospreys head basketball coach Chris Matthews leaving the program for a bigger school. It appears that a few mid-major schools are interested in hiring the coach that took the Ospreys program from the lowest of lows to the top of their conference.

Some of the teams that keep coming up are Arkansas St, Missouri St, and Miami (OH). It's been reported that Matthews has "zero interest" in the Miami job, since he "hates the weather up north." Several sources claim that he is very interested in the Missouri State Bears open position, and could announce the move there within the week.

The Bears faithful in Springfield seem to be fully behind hiring Chris Matthews, despite the coach's sometimes over the top comments. Some people close to the boosters are saying that it is a "done deal" on MissouriStateInsider.com. They claim there could be an announcement as early as tonight, but tomorrow is more likely.

We should know for certain in the near future if Matthews intends to leave. Those here in Jacksonville are praying that he doesn't.

*I finally reached 10,000 views, which is a huge accomplishment for me. Thank you to everyone who has followed this from the beginning.*

                    Matthews Releases Statement
                    April 7, 2010

Jacksonville, FL - Coach Matthew's released the following statement earlier this morning...

"Regarding the rumors out there of where I will be next year, I'm flattered that people are starting to appreciate my greatness and my obviously fantastic coaching ability.... BUT I will not be going anywhere next season. I've built a superior team, and next year is the year we can make some serious noise and I certainly intend to do just that. Peace out."

So there you have it, Matthews WILL be returning to North Florida next year despite the mid-major schools offering them their head coaching position.

LOL, Coach Matthews sure isn't humble, is he?

And Duke wins the Championship a day after they do it in real life. Interesting.

North Florida Lands the "Eiffel Tower"

Once again Coach Matthews has decided to stay with the Ospreys. He will be bringing back all of his starters, and is adding a few great players to go along with them. Headlining this year's class is the "Eiffel Tower", a 7'0" Frenchman by the name Jean Francois Moncreaux.

To top it off the Ospreys add three more players, all of whom are 3* players. They got these extra scholarships from the departure of disgruntled players Radkovic, Justin Cecil, and Devon Jones.

2009 North Florida Ospreys Recruiting Class

                              Jean Francois Moncreaux - C - (--) - 7'0"/247 - HS SR - France
Moncreaux is an extremely talented big man. He could very well be the first player that Coach Matthews has leave early to enter the NBA draft. Adding Moncreaux greatly increases the Ospreys ability to make a long run in the NCAA tournament next March. The only problem is what to do with him. There is no way Matthews is going to bench Emerson Riley for him, and Moncreaux is too talented to ride the bench. It's likely that North Florida will have two 7-footers starting for them next year.

                              Mike Harrington - SG - (#204) - 6'5"/195 - HS SR - Gainsville, FL
Harrington joins the team for one reason, to shoot the ball. None of the shooting guards from last year's class proved they could shoot the 3 ball well this season, so Matthews recruiting Harrington with hopes that he could come off the bench and provide some spark for the offense. Harrington shot 40% from long range in the ABL this past season.

                              Stanislav Neverett - PG - (#378) - 6'2"/182 - HS SR - Arlington Heights, IL
Neverett was just an extra signing. He signed the very last day, and it appears that Coach Matthews was just looking for a player that he hopes can contribute. If he does, great then he'll get playing time. If not, don't expect him to stick around for to long since UNF already has two point guards.

                              Austin Kowalczuk - C - (#400) - 6'8"/222 - HS SR - Mobile, AL
Originally the only player that the Ospreys would be getting. Kowalczuk is very similar to Ka'Ron Ellerbee, meaning that he isn't known as a scorer but can rebound really well. Being able to play behind players like Emerson Riley and Jean Francois will help him immensely, and by time he is a senior he could be a very good player.

*The class was listed at #29*

Looks like you have a solid team returning and some great incoming talent. I expect another big year from Coach Mathews and the Osprey
