DV: "WELL ERIN, I KNOW YOU HAVE A THING FOR HIM AFTER COVERING HIM AT EASTERN MICHIGAN, BUT THEY ARE LOOKING HORRENDOUS. THEY COULDN'T COVER ANYONE WITH A BLANKET AND COULDN'T HIT WATER IF THEY FELL OUT OF A BOAT."
EA: *Blushing* "I am not sure what you mean about that first part... Yes, they are struggling on both offense and defense but I remember that first season at Eastern Michigan, struggled all season until late in conference play, maybe it will be a case of the same thing."

Jacks blow early lead, fall in OT to Commodores in heartbreaker!
(AP)-Well the Jacks started the game off on fire, they looked like a new team. A 20-2 run is how the game started, now only if it would have ended that way....To stall the run the Commodores' coach called timeout and his Senior PG (Moya) told the team, "I'll put the team on my back! Just give me the ball!" The team did just that, and he followed through with a stunning 49pt game which brought the Commodores back to tie it to force an overtime; He again took the team all the way with a huge play to end the overtime.

Coach Baker was livid after the game, "At halftime we knew we had to stop Moya, I told them over and over if we just stop him we win this game by 30, no one else could score! But every single time they would leave him to try to make a steal or to double team or whatever they thought they were doing out there and everytime he would hit his wide open shot. Heck we double teamed the kid and he was still nailing 3's from WAY behind the arc. Someone give me a ballot for Most Outstanding Player of the year in the conference or otherwise and he gets my vote, never have I seen a kid take over like this. It's like he thought he was Jimmer Fredette with some of those shots, sad part is, just like Jimmer, they were all falling."

Glad You guys liked it. I like to spice things up a little bit and add some flavor that no one else does, keeps me entertained and hopefully you guys as well.

Nice win against Idaho! That should help your RPI out, even if they had no wins coming into that game.

Ya I don't think it will matter what my RPI is, my only shot to get into the tourney at this point is to win my Conference Tournament the way I'm playing. I think I would be happy with a season within 5 games of .500 too...

Jacks try new approach in first half, still fall short!
(AP)- EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT........Ok, who are we kidding, any of you that are reading this already know the outcome or could guess it. The thing is the Jacks coach Dan Baker tried out a new style in the first half of the game. Instead of going with the run and gun approach he went with a completely half court style.... The Result, the Jacks went into the locker room down by 10 to Oral Roberts... In the second half they came back out in their traditional run and gun and press defense and actually won the half by 5 points, narrowly missing a miracle comeback shot to end the game.

Coach Baker was steamed when we talked to him, "Don't talk to me about the gameplan approach.....Don't talk to me about the game period!.....If I see one more missed 2ft layup I swear I am going to throw a chair at someone....Oh and that doesn't exclude the allowing offensive rebounds after missed free throws.... We gave up at least 15 points to them off of missed free throws converted into other free throws and or buckets and we gave up 15 points or so on wide open 2 ft layups without a defender around!"

The question is now, will the school see the throwing a chair at someone as a threat or as a potential spark to the fire under the pants of some of these players? Our guess, they won't care, no one is going to the games anyways....

Will the Real Slim Shady Please Stand Up?
(AP)- So incase you have been under a rock for the last few years you will have seen or at least heard about the movie, 8 Mile. In the movie Eminem's character's nickname is Bunny Rabbit, a song of his is will the Real Slim Shady Please Stand up.... Today the Jackrabbits shocked not only this writer with their play but they have shocked the entire nation......Ok maybe just the midwest...So the question is, who are the real Jackrabbits? Is it the team that gives up the lead late in the game or is it the team from tonight? Incase you some how didn't see the people burning jerseys in Minnesota here is the final score.... 110 to 73, I know what your thinking, the Jacks got smashed; Thats what I thought too..... But no, the Jacks won the game against Big Ten opponent Minnesota.

Coach Baker was seen after the game running around like he just won the Championship game or something... "See I told you! These guys just needed some motivation! They came out today and just went crazy, I mean 49 of your 75 shots is amazing, not to mention all the steals and turnovers forced, couple all of that with Minnesota shooting a poor 29-73 this game was perfect for us......Big Ten? We treated them like Big Ben allegedly treated that young woman in the bathroom of the bar.....Now let me get back with my team and finish our celebration dance...."

Jacks Vandalize Vandals!
(AP)- You know how in most games the announcer will talk about how the game was a lot closer than the final score would leave you to believe….Ya, this isn’t one of those games, the opposite is true in fact….The game was a blow out with the Jacks up by nearly 30 with about 10 minutes to go so coach Baker called off the dogs and told his guys to slow it down to kill the clock, in the mean time the Vandals tried to make a run but failed.
Coach Baker was pretty happy with the game, “When you play the style we play you expect to score a lot and you expect to give up some easy transition buckets here and there, tonight it was more of the first and less of the second. We had 6 players in double digits tonight led by Vandrell Smith and Troy Kinloch who both had 17. You guys know what is next right? A winning streak is what they call it if you win three games in a row……It has happened before.”

Jacks claw their way past Pioneers
(AP)-Today the Jacks went into the game as a favorite, and they looked like it in the entire game. Though they blew a 10 point halftime lead during the second half they clawed back to take a commanding 5 point lead and never looked back. This is the first winning streak of coach Dan Baker’s career and if the Jacks keep playing the way they did today they will be a force to be reckoned with in the Summit.
Coach Baker had this to say, “Well I think we have finally figured out the rotation here, I hate to see a couple of guys not playing as much as they want but right now we are trying to win ball games, they will get their chances just like everyone else. I am impressed by these guy’s tenacity, I thought for sure we were going to pack it in when we went down by 2 after a 10-2 run by them, but these guys kept fighting and believed in the system.”

Thanks man, I think the boost from the team unity is what pushed me over the top. Some of the freshman I have playing got that needed game time and boosted me up a little in that regard.

Hoping to stay on a role with my next two games being against lowly Cal State Bakersfield and San Jose State.

Roadrunners fool the Jacks!
(AP)- Today the Jacks were just flat run out of the court by the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners. The Roadrunners seemingly could do no wrong while the Jacks couldn’t do much right. If you missed the game, be happy about it as I would trade places with you this moment.

“That was pitiful, they beat us at our own game, I have nothing to say other than that. We have one day to practice before the SJST game and believe me we are going to try something new in that game.” Those words from Coach Baker lead us to wonder what the new thing he is going to try is… Also it was reported that the players thought they were supposed to throw the game to “Baker”sfield because of the name and thought Coach Baker owned the team or something….. Maybe the South Dakota State professors should do their jobs more often?

Jacks change up offense go all Xerxes on Spartans
(AP)-Everyone knows the Persians and Xerxes won initially against the Spartans, so well there is the reference there (Your welcome my 12th grade English Teacher). Today the Jacks came out and slowed the offense way down, especially in the first half where there was a record low for games this year in point s scored in a Jacks game. The second half turned into desperation time for the Spartans who started pressing causing the Jacks to turn on some speed and attack the hoop.

Coach Baker was pleased with his teams performance, “I told my guys just control the tempo, if you have an open shot take it but control the game and play it at your speed. I think they played great, we had great ball movement and Smith and Alford had huge games both with 25 points (Smith from outside and Alford in the paint) with some key contributions from the other guys making the Spartans have to guard multiple shooters on every possession.”

So I just found out the hard way that the Autosave feature apparently doesn't work..... I turned off the system and it ddn't save the four games I played yesterday. Rather than replay them or restart the legacy I will be simming them.

Here are the results:
SDST: 93 Idaho: 87 (W)
Denver: 72 SDST: 61 (L)
SDST: 74, CSU Bakersfield 73 (W)
SDST 103, SJST 98 (W)

So only change is Denver beat me instead of CSU Bakersfield, I will take that, not a whole big issue there.

Now on to the next information.
