Re: Thunder Struck - NBA 2k12 OKC Thunder Association
I need the scoring on the 2nd unit as none of the other guys can be counted on to provide offense if Durant and Westbrook are sitting. That and IRL he comes off the bench, even when Thabo went down IRL they starting him and he played pretty poorly, so Brooks went with Cook in the starting line-up and kept Harden as the 6th man."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Timberwolves hot shooting lifts them past OKC 94-85
OKLAHOMA CITY -- To the Oklahoma City Thunder it seemed like the Timberwolves didn't miss a shot all night.
Minnesota shot 50.6% from the field, befuddling the Thunder defense on their way to a 94-85 on the Thunder's home court.
Michael Beasley led the T'Wolves in scoring with 19 points, but it was the leadership and execution of rookie Ricky Rubio that made the difference in the game.
Rubio found the man all night, setting up wide open shots for his teammates, on his way to 10 assists. He also scored 10 points to give himself a double-double.
The loss marks just the 4th time the Thunder have failed to win on their home court.
Kevin Durant had 27 points, but hit just 11 of his 28 attempts including 1 for 7 from 3 point range. Russell Westbrook added 20 but had just many assists as turnovers with 4 in each category.
James Harden kept the Thunder in the game when seemed Minnesota would pull away for good by scoring 14 points off the bench, but it wasn't enough.
The Thunder will have little time to dwell on the loss as the headed straight to the airport after the game. They will play the Rockets in Houston tomorrow night before returning home for 3 straight games heading into the All-Star break.

Yeah that is a Hard(no pun intended) concept for non-thunder fans to understand. Harden isn't gonna get his touches if he's on the floor with Durant and Russell "I think I'm better than Durant" Westbrook. Harden to OKC is what Manobili was for SA.Comment

I let the CPU handle the injuries and manage them myself. Yes, Bynum getting hurt and it being a knee injury was surprisingly realistic to me, as a lot of the injuries that happen frequently seem unrealistic to me. Re: Thunder Struck - NBA 2k12 OKC Thunder Association
Big 4th quarter propels Thunder past Rockets
HOUSTON -- Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks thinks the Thunder must improve defensively to become one of the league's elite teams.
The Thunder showed flashes of stingy defense in the second half on Wednesday night, but only after Brooks scolded them for playing so lax in the first.
Kevin Durant scored 37 points, Russell Westbrook added 21 points and 10 assists, and the Thunder got back in the win column in Houston with a 96-83 win over the Rockets.
"We can't let Coach come in here at halftime and get us fired up to play defense," Durant said. "We have to start from the beginning. In the second half, we locked in and played harder."
Houston scored 49 points in first half, but managed just 34 in the 2nd.
"We've just got to be more locked in and focused, and worry about that end more than the offensive end," Durant said. "But we'll be all right."
Luis Scola tied for the team lead in points with 18 and grabbed 13 boards surpassing the 3000 rebound mark for his career.
Courtney Lee scored 18 points off the Rockets bench after taking over for Kevin Martin who left the game in the second quarter with a lower back strain. Martin is expected to miss the next 2-4 weeks. His injury puts a damper on any possible trade ideas the Rockets in mind for him.
The Rockets have lost 7 of their last 10 games and currently sit 1.5 games behind Minnesota for the 8th spot in the conference.
Oklahoma City will have a day off to travel home before opening a 3 game homestand that will lead into the All-Star break against Golden State. The Warriors defeated the Thunder 105-95 just last week, thanks to Monta Ellis's 41 point performance.

Thunder down Warriors 98-87
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder did get off to the kind of start they wanted.
The finish however, was much better.
Durant scored 32 points and after shooting poorly in first half, he recovered to have strong 2nd half and give the Thunder the firepower they needed to knock off the Golden State Warriors 98-87.
"I think we started the game off kind of bad -- a couple turnovers and easy baskets for them -- and that's kind of contagious. We've got to do a better job of not be too relaxed," said Durant, the NBA's scoring leader at 30.1 points per game.
After scoring 41 points in the previous meeting with Oklahoma City Monta Ellis was limited by a twisted ankle and scored just 11 on 3 of 17 shooting. Ellis is not expected to miss any games.
Dorell Wright took on Ellis's scoring role with 22 points including 5 of 9 three point field goals. Stephen Curry added 18 points and 6 assists for Golden State.
James Harden and Russell Westbrook both scored 18 points for the Thunder and Nick Collison had 11 off the bench. Westbrook struggled from the field, but went to the free throw line 15 times, hitting 10 of them.
The Thunder get an off day before welcoming the Denver Nuggets to the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Oklahoma City is 2-0 against the Nuggets so far this season.

Thunder clamp down on Nuggets for 86-60 win
OKLAHOMA CITY -- If the Denver Nuggets want to compete with elite teams like the Thunder when the playoffs roll around, they'll need to step up their intensity.
Russell Westbrook scored 23 points and dished out 8 assists, Kevin Durant added 19 and the Thunder beat Denver 86-60 in a game that wasn't even as close as the 26 point margin makes it seem.
"I don't think we got dominated, but I think to win on the road not shooting the ball well, there's got to be an aggressive nature to your behavior. We didn't have it tonight," Nuggets coach George Karl said.
Nene had 15 points to lead the Nuggets who shot just 35% from the field in the loss.
Late in the 3rd quarter with Oklahoma pushing a 30 point lead, things got a little chippy between Nene and Kendrick Perkins.
Perkins ended up with Nene nearly in a headlock after fouling him midway through the quarter, and Nene responded by shoving Perkins to get out of it.
"I think that Kendrick didn't mean to have that little scuffle. He just fouled him hard. Nene made a great move and got him off his feet, and he just threw his weight on him a little bit," Durant said. "When you want to win, you tend to do anything."
The Thunder have just once game left on the schedule before Westbrook and Durant head off to the All-Star game in Orlando. In a possible Finals preview, Oklahoma City will face off with the Boston Celtics, who lead the Eastern Conference with a 41-13 record.
