Westbrook's 34 lift's Thunder to game 3 comeback win
SAN ANTONIO -- The Oklahoma City Thunder trailed by 10 points as the 4th quarter of game 3 started and it looked the Spurs would get their first win of the series.
Then Russell Westbrook took the game over.
Westbrook scored 34 points, 12 in the fourth quarter, capped off by a thunderous dunk that put Oklahoma City ahead by 4 with less than minute to play. James Harden iced the game at free throw line and the Thunder took a 3-0 series lead with a 91-87 win.
Harden scored 23 points off the bench for OKC and Serge Ibaka added 10 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Chris Douglas-Roberts filled in for the injured Kevin Durant and had 12 points and 8 rebounds in his place.
"I'm happy we're where we are," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "We could be in that other position in that other locker room, so it's nice to be where we are."
Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 25 points, but was ice cold down the stretch missing several shots that most likely would have led to a San Antonio win.
DeJaun Blair did all he could for the Spurs with 16 points and 14 rebounds but it just wasn't enough to keep the Thunder at bay.
"We're not playing too well in so many words," Blair said. "That's the clean version. And we need to get it together, and play with a lot of energy and play like we're a desperate team."
The Spurs will only have a day to find their game before facing elimination in front their home fans Thursday night. A loss would make it start first round playoff losses for San Antonio after last seasons upset loss to Memphis.
