It doesn't matter to me if we start over because I didn't make any moves, but I would rather be able to trade top our 10 picks bc I don't want Waiters and now I"m stuck with him. Also PLEASE put the link to the website on the first post, thanks.

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
As I said before, the reason that I instituted the offseason trading deadline for year 1 as well as the reason that I want to have a rule that prevents top-10 picks from being traded is to maintain realism. If I am the only one who likes those rules, which is how it seems to me, then that's fine and I understand. However, I will walk away from this project if you guys decide to lift those restrictions. Not because I am upset or anything like that, but it simply won't be fun for me anymore.GO FALCONS!

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
If you want to do a revamp / reboot, that's fine by me. I have no opinion one way or the other.
In my opinion, if you want no players drafted in this years draft then you shouldn't be doing an interactive franchise. The point of an interactive franchise is that, us - the users of this forum - are given free reign to make decisions on how to run our team.
Just my two cents.Comment

I agree with Cavs in the portion I highlighted. While I understand that real life organizations and general managers may have big plans for the players they drafted, we are not them. We are partaking in this interactive association as a way of playing out our fantasies of being the GM of an NBA team. Just because the GM of the real life Sacramento Kings drafted Thomas Robinson doesn't mean that I want Thomas Robinson on my fantasy team via your association. Yes, he should be a good player but if I get an offer that I like over keeping Robinson it should be my right and my right only on whether or not I keep him or trade him. Another example, in real life the Maloof Brothers are cheap bastards, I am not them, just because the real life organization doesn't have a history of spending money does not mean I should be prevented from trading for a player who is going to require a large contract. That's my prerogative, since I am the GM of the Sacramento Kings in this fantasy world via your interactive association.

But the bottom line is that you make valid points. I can't say that any of it isn't fair. I am not going to enter into a debate about preference. But I don't want to be a part of it if that's the direction that you guys decide to go. Just like you, I want to enjoy my experience. It's that simple.Last edited by tarantism; 08-02-2012, 04:20 PM.GO FALCONS!

Dirk(9th Overall pick) was traded for Robert Traylor (6th Overall pick). LaMarcus Aldridge(2nd Overall pick) traded for Tyrus thomas(4th Overall pick). Pippen(5th Overall pick) traded for Olden Polynice (8th Overall pick). Boston sent Barry Carroll, the first overall pick of the draft, and Brown, the 13th overall pick, to Golden State for Parish and McHale, the third overall selection.
Those are only couple of trades, that players in the top 10 were traded.Comment

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
That's fine. I know that top 10 picks get traded all the time. But every example that you just named was during the draft, so it's a bit different.
Like I said, there is no debate here. I understand where you guys are coming from.GO FALCONS!

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
To be clear, I am only talking about restricting it for this offseason. At the trade deadline would be fine for me, as well as any future top-10 picks or whatever.GO FALCONS!

I understand, that you wont enjoy this as much, if we do trade the top 10 picks, or do other trades. So, I'll be fine if we reboot, or not.Comment

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
Not sure what you mean here. I never had a problem with any other trades.
My ideal option would be to reboot and like I detailed earlier in the thread. Second option would be to just continue from where we are (the simplest option). Finally, the third option would be to just say "screw it" and drop all of the rules and just fantasy draft an association. It would make most of what I have done a huge waste of time but at least then I wouldn't need to worry about realism.GO FALCONS!

I was meaning not trading guys like Kobe, Lebron, Melo etc. I don't think, any one has attempted to trade those guys, though. Like, I said I don't mind rebooting. But, I don't want to do a fantasy draft.Comment

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
If, we do reboot can you add guys like A.I and Rasheed Wallace? A.I. wants to return to the NBA, and Rasheed has been thinking to return so its realistic. Also could you add Yao Ming, but you can't offer him anything, until the next season? Because, I see him returning sometime soon.Comment

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
I can agree with not trading top 10 picks in the offseason, that's cool with me. I also like the idea of bringing A.I. and Rasheed back into the game. I think I am more in favor of a restart now the more I think about it so it's like 60/40 for me lolComment
