Anyways, I am off for Chile until January 13th. Since I will be gone for awhile and no updates will obviously be posted, if you all want to ask questions, perhaps I can do a press conference sort of thing when I get back.

Yeah, it was fun! I visited Vina del Mar and Santiago and also took a day-trip to El Dorado National Monument in the Andes where we walked ~30 km and up 5,500 ft. to reach the bottom of the glacier there. Definitely one of the hardest, and most memorable, experiences of my life.

Anyways, I am back from vacation now so I'll have some updates soon.

        Unfortunately, college starts today.

Tough loss to the Skyhawks. Hope you can get back to your winning ways against Samford.

Yeah, that was a rough one for us. We're definitely better than that, but to get pummeled by a three-win team is a humbling experience, for sure.

Pretty good, I'd say. I might have to turn up the foul settings up a bit at some point, but other than that I'd say they are pretty perfect. Do note that I am playing coach mode, though.

                    Ellis Johnson Arena
                    Morehead, KY
                    January 17th, 2008

Morehead State (5-10, 4-5) had its best offensive outing of the season tonight as the Eagles snapped their three-game losing streak by beating Samford 74-65 at home.

The Eagles dominated the glass 37-27 and shot 46% from the floor. Though they struggled a bit from beyond the arc, the Eagles more than made up for it at the free throw line, where they hit 14 of 20 attempts.

Tonight, the Eagles received solid contributions from a whole host of players with four Eagles getting into double-figures in scoring. Maze Stallworth led the way from off the bench as he scored 16 points in only 20 minutes of action. T.J. Clark added 14 points. Meanwhile, down low Les Simmons and Kenneth Faried played marvelously. Simmons tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds while Faried just missed out on recording his first career double-double as he ended with 12 points, nine rebounds, and a pair of blocks.

"We had a solid outing tonight and it's great to finally break that three-game losing streak," commented Coach Frizzell. "We are now 4-1 at home as the Ellis Johnson Arena is proving to be a tough place for opponents to come in and win."

Josh Bedwell was Samford's leading scorer as he scored 13. Savoy Fraine and Travis Peterson both chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds apiece for the Bulldogs, as well.

Morehead State will host a hot Jacksonville State squad on Saturday.

Morehead State is definitely playing great at home, not a bad conference record so far either.

Thanks. We're definitely a different team at home than on the road up to this point. It would be nice if we could start to translate some of that success onto the road, but I guess I'll take what I can get with this team this year. We're over-performing, if anything.
