What South Florida wants to do: Use their talented and experienced senior backcourt to handle the Tribe press and 1-3-1. USF plays very small and matches up relatively well with W&M, but the Bulls' struggles to put the ball in the hoop will ultimately be their downfall.
What William & Mary wants to do: Use Timmy Belser. Belser is coming off one of his worst games of his career, shooting 2-11 from the floor against IPFW in the first round game. Looking at who plays big minutes for the Bulls, USF's 4-guard lineup does not have a good matchup for the athletic, 6-7 Belser.
Prediction: William & Mary uses their transition game and three-point shooting to reach the school's first Sweet 16.

What Louisville wants to do: Score the basketball. The Cardinals have scored 100 and 98 points in their two tournament games thus far. For the season, Louisville scores 84.1 PPG. They do it with help from everyone, as Louisville has 10 players that average over 6 PPG.
What William and Mary wants to do: Take care of the basketball. Louisville presses the entire game, and they have the depth to do it. The Tribe, and especially their bench, need to keep their composure and fundamentals. Also, shooting the lights out will help.
Prediction: Louisville is mad. The Cardinals finished the regular season ranked #1 in both the Media and Coaches Polls, but their loss in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament dropped them to a #2 seed. The have been taking it out on their opponents. Unfortunately, W&M is next in line.

            W&M Upsets Louisville!
            Sweet 16

William & Mary is going to the Elite 8!

Jarrett Rhodes attacked early and often.

Rhodes and Belser tried to shut down the Cards' pick and roll.

            Rhodes hit from outside, too.

            Rhodes even had a block!

What William & Mary want to do: The emergence of an inside game with Dominic Dillon has propelled W&M to the next level. The senior doesn't post up much, instead getting his buckets in transition or the pick and roll. Any points scored from the 5 are a bonus in Beilein's offense, and Dillon is proving the Tribe have 5 capable scorers.
What California wants to do: Cal has some great names and some great players. For a team with only one starter under 6-6, the Golden Bears shoot the ball extremely well, connecting on 40% of their 3s. Cal will look to dominate the glass and limit turnovers against the Tribe press.
Prediction: A balanced William & Mary team takes down a balanced Cal team to advance to the Final Four!

What Florida wants to do: Florida actually scores more per game than W&M. The Gators don't start anyone over 6-7 but they punish teams on the boards. Their high pressure defense denies primary ballhandlers and forces others to beat them. Their offense is deep at the guard position, meaning any number of players should be able to break the Tribe press.
What William & Mary wants to do: The Tribe in the Final Four?! Coach Beilein needs to make sure his players stay focused on the game and not the atmosphere. A tough Gator team awaits.
Prediction: This is a tight contest that could go either way. In the end, the Gators' ability to outshoot the Tribe from 3 should be the difference.

Gotta love the Final Four being played at the Unviersity of Albany's homecourt. I had that happen in my legacy, as well. Sucks some of the excitement out of it.

What William & Mary wants to do: Pick their spots. It will be difficult to do, but W&M needs to make good decisions for when to run the fast break and when to run offense. Make Maryland defend and their shooters will get tired. And try to battle the Terrapins to a stalemate on the glass.
What Maryland wants to do: Put the clamps on the Tribe. The Terrapins are a great defensive team and could be even better on the glass. They have 4 players that average over 4.5 rebounds per game as well as three starters that shoot over 40% from 3. They are good.
Prediction: Maryland must be favored for what would be back-to-back national championships, but is anyone really ready to root against William & Mary?

                            Never underestimate the Tribe!

But we are definitely the underdogs. We have our work cut out for us against the defending national champions. But it's the Title Game, it's not supposed to easy! Coach Beilein will have his guys ready to play.

And who knows? If Jameson can keep shooting it the way he has been, maybe, just maybe...

Maryland has a pretty small frontcourt. Should be interesting.
