Re: An NBA 2K16 Association Sim Using 2001-02 Rosters

        October 25, 2001-November 2, 2001 Recap

Eastern Conference Player of the Week: Orlando Magic SG Tracy McGrady: 28.8 PPG, 7.2 APG, 6.8 RPG, 2.3 SPG, 1.7 BPG, and a .652 FG %.

Western Conference Player of the Week: San Antonio Spurs PF Tim Duncan: 20.5 PPG, 12.3 RPG, 4.5 APG, 2.5 BPG, and a .531 FG %.

        Stories of the Week
        • After the first week of the Regular Season only 3 teams remain undefeated: Portland Trail Blazers (4-0), Golden State Warriors (4-0), and the Orlando Magic (4-0).
        • While there are 3 undefeated teams, there are 4 win less teams so far this season: Boston Celtics (0-3), Charlotte Bobcats (0-4), Minnesota Timberwolves (0-3), and the New Orleans Hornets (0-4)
        • Michael Jordan had an underwhelming return to the NBA as he only managed to put up 9 points in a 100-129 loss to the Orlando Magic in the Wizards opening game. However, he would bounce back in his next two games and is now averaging: 15.7 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 4.7 APG, and has a FG% of .515.
        • Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady are pulling away from the rest of the league in PPG. Iverson is tops in the league with 32.7 PPG and McGrady is in 2nd with 28.8 PPG. In 3rd is Shaquille O'Neal with 23.3 PPG.
        • One player worth mentioning is Chris Webber. Webber had an outstanding first week of the season as he is currently averaging 21.7 PPG, 15.5 RPG, and 7.2 APG as his Sacramento Kings sit at 3-1 early in the year.

        NBA Mock Draft Changes
        • Maryland Center Chris Wilcox who was ranked as the #6 player in the 2002 NBA Draft Class has fell all the way back to #30.
        • Connecticut Small Forward Caron Butler has slipped two spots down to the #9 prospect in the 2002 Draft.
        • Besides those two, every other player in the #6-#29 range has moved up one spot from their original ranking.

Awesome idea for a thread. Def do the wingspan to make up for the height difference for Yao. Any chance you uploaded your roster to the psn?

I'll do that! Thanks for the suggestion, I'm not sure why that never crossed my mind lol.

It is uploaded to PSN. If you search for orlegend0208 on PSN the 2001-2002 roster should come up along with the 2002, 2003, and 2004 draft classes I've modified. By modified, I mean the original class I downloaded had about 10-15 real players, so I added about 20-30 more players who were drafted to try and make them more realistic. I still have some adjustments to make to them, but you're more than welcome to download them if you'd like.

Once I get through this My League more, I'll modify and upload like the 2005, 2006, 2007, etc. draft classes to PSN in case anyone is interested in doing a My League like this too.

                    Thanks for the comment!

Re: An NBA 2K16 Association Sim Using 2001-02 Rosters

Some teams don't have a backup up at a certain position and I feel like that is hurting their record due to the skewed allocation of minutes being played and forcing players to play out of position. So, I'm going through and trading players to teams so that every team has at least one backup at each position. With the way the roster stands now, some teams don't have a backup at a position... Which you can see from the depth charts I posted on Page 2 of this thread.

I'm making sure the trade is completely fair and I hope the trade can benefit both teams. I'm also going to try to align the star rating up between the two teams and in my next post I will list the trades that I made.
