    November 13, 2002-November 19, 2002 Recap

    Antawn Jamison-Bobcats.jpg

Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Charlotte Bobcats PF Antawn Jamison (1)

Western Conference Player of the Week

Sacramento Kings PF Chris Webber (1)

    Stories of the Week
    • Antawn Jamison and Chris Webber won their first Player of the Week Awards this season.
    • Antawn Jamison continues his extremely hot start to the season as he's putting up MVP type numbers: 26.0 PPG, 11.3 RPG, 1.9 BPG, and 1.4 SPG
    • Gilbert Arenas was a 2nd Round Pick in the 2002 Draft. Last season he was named to the NBA All-Rookie 1st Team. This season, he's looking at a possible All-NBA Team selection as he's averaging 19.5 PPG, 6.7 APG, and 1.8 SPG.
    • Last season's Rookie of the Year, Memphis Grizzlies C Pau Gasol, is putting up some big numbers in his Sophomore campaign. Gasol is averaging 19.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 3.2 BPG.
    • Four teams went undefeated this week. Those teams were the Dallas Mavericks (3-0), Minnesota Timberwolves (4-0), Phoenix Suns (3-0), and the Portland Trail Blazers (3-0).
    • Five teams didn't win a game this week. Those teams were the Golden State Warriors (0-2), Seattle SuperSonics (0-3), Philadelphia 76ers (0-4), Indiana Pacers (0-4), and New Orleans Hornets (0-4)
    • The Minnesota Timberwolves went 30-52 last season. That was partially due to Kevin Garnett's injury. But, through 13 games this year, the Timberwolves have the best record in the NBA at 11-2.
    • The Los Angeles Clippers (2-10) have finally won a game, so their aren't anymore winless teams in the NBA.
