I recently got the itch to dust off the old 360 and play some college hoops as well and it’s been so much fun.

What a crazy March madness it has been this year! Happy to see all the upsets lol. Hope all is well bro and I look forward to following along your hoops journey.
it has been a crazy year. My bracket was busted so early. Had Houston winning it all and don't even have a team I picked to make the Final 4 left in.

It's what makes college basketball so great though. Gives non power schools a chance to win a chip. I wish College Football could have a similar playoff experience.

I really hope we can finally get some college sports on the new systems. Well I love 2k8 and NCAA14, my 360 and my controller are on it's last legs and I just don't see myself spending $200-250 to get a new system or $100 to try and get a new game.

Thanks for checking in/following. Having others enjoying the thread is part of what makes it all worth while doing..

WOLFPACK SNAP BRONCOS 13 GAME WIN STREAK!!!

Boise State entered the game with the Best Offense in the WAC at (84.3 PPG) and the 3rd Best in the Nation, but Nevada came out strong in the 2nd half holding the Broncos to just 22 points.

BSU led (37-29) at the half and many felt they were well on their way to a 14th straight win and continuing their perfect record in WAC play, but Nevada came out looking like a completely different team, sometimes playing with what looked like 7 players on the court at the same time.

After a 0/6 performance from beyond the arc in the 1st half, the Wolfpack hit 4/9 in the 2nd half well also going a perfect 20/20 from the free throw line, as Boise State found themselves on the wrong side of the officials tonight.
Coach Scott "I don't see how anyone can look at a stat line and see that we shot 19 Free throws compared to Nevada shooting 41 and say that it was a fair contest"
Nevada was led by Junior Cedric Wilson the former WAC FOY finished with a double double of 21 pts and 10 rebs. Freshman SF F. Skeeter added 19 pts including a perfect 11/11 from the stripe, well SR SG M. Ibok had 15 pts on a perfect night shooting (5/5 FG, 2/2 3pt, 3/3 FT).

Freshman Center Reid Montrimas (4* #1 Center) finished scoreless in the game but did manage to pull down a team high 13 rebounds and had 4 blocks.

For Boise it was just a off night for everyone. PG R. Cowans fouled out playing just 10 minutes and reserves V. Rasmussen and R. Pekkola also finished with 4 fouls.

Jesus Kennedy never got things going finishing with just 8 points going 3/9 FG, with D. Nagata and R. Len Bullicer leading the way with 11 pts each.

        BRONCOS BOUNCE BACK AFTER LOSS!!

Boise State left Nevada and headed to New Mexico to take on the Aggies of NMSU, who came into the game with the 2nd best record in the WAC at (16-6),riding their own 7 game win streak.

Boise State fired up after a 22 point performance in the 2nd half in the 20 point loss to Nevada came out on fire connecting on 6 straight 3's to open the game with a (18-8) run. NMSU would make a defense adjustment and Boise countered by pounding the ball inside as they took a (55-45) lead into the locker room.

Both teams would trade baskets with each other in the 2nd half much like boxers trading punches, but the Aggies could never recover from the early lead as BSU takes the win (97-88).

7 players scored in double digits tonight including 4 of the 5 reserves as BSU showcased just how deep their bench is as the bench out scores the starting unit (51-46).

The bench hit 10/17 from beyond the arc compared to the starters just (2/6).

        JR J. Toole had a season high 14 pts (4/6 3pt) with I. Dilligard (11 pts) and J. Plummer (11 pts 3/5 3pt) and V. Rasmussen (10 pts 7 rebs 2 blks) also hitting double digits.

        D. Andres and R. Bullicer each had 14 pts with Andres also pulling down a team high 8 rebounds, well Jesus Kennedy added 12 pts 4 rebs and 2 blks.

BSU IMPROVES TO 24-2 ON THE SEASON AND JUMPS BACK TO #15 IN THE POLLS.

BRONCOS CLOSE OUT SEASON WITH 3 STRAIGHT WINS

Boise State picked up 3 more wins to close out the regular season with a school best (27-2) record, officially giving Coach Scott the most wins in his career in a season. With a 95-33 record Overall and most likely 3 straight trips to the NCAA tournament reports are several schools are interested in trying pry Coach Scott away from Boise.

          [B]Coach Scott [/B
]"BSU is my Alma Mater, and lets be honest, next year with 4 starters returning, a Top-30 recruiting class last year and 4 scholarships available this year, there is no reason why I would want to leave Boise. Coach Few built a career at Gonzaga, and I don't see why I can't do the same here in Boise. I don't want people to just think of Boise State as a Football School."

Here is a recap of the final 3 games.

          VS UTAH STATE (FINAL 72-60)

BSU took a commanding lead (43-29) at the half and never really looked back. The Aggies will most likely finish the year with 16-17 wins and will need to win the WAC tournament for any chance at a NCAA bid.

6'9 JR SF L. Whitaker scored 27 points on 5/10 from 3pt well grabbing a team high 7 rebounds in the loss..

Boise had 3 players score in double digits
          SF D. Andres (15 pts 5 reb), SG D. Nagata (13 pts 5 rebs 6 assists) and J. Kennedy (11 pts 4 reb)

          VS IDAHO (FINAL SCORE 82-73)

It was Senior Night with Jesus Kennedy and Jeremy Plummer being honored before the game...

Boise once again jumped out to a early lead going into the locker room up 14 points (41-27) against their instate rival.

The Vandals would play better in the 2nd half and even outscore the Broncos (46-41) getting 21 points from SR SF L. Wells off the bench. 7'0 Soph Dylan Boeckerman who turned down a scholarship from Coach Scott added 16 pts and 8 rebs. Boekerman is averaging 13.2 PPG 5.5 RPG and 1.1 BPG this year after averaging 9.1 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 1.5 BPG as a freshman.

Jesus Kennedy finished with 16 pts and 5 rebounds in his last home game in front of the Bronco faithful, well D. Andres for the 2nd game in a row led the team in scoring with 17 pts 5 reb 4 assists and 2 steals.

          R. Len Bullicer added 14 pts and had a team high 5 blocks. Plummer sadly played just 12 minutes and was 0/2 missing both 3pt attempts he took.

          @ HAWAII (FINAL SCORE 82-81)

The Warriors almost pulled the upset. Down (40-32) at the half, Hawaii would connect on 6/12 3pt in the 2nd half (just 3/15 in the 1st) including a go ahead shot with 16 seconds left. BSU however would hold for the final shot down by 1 and Jesus Kennedy would deliver hitting the game winner with 2 seconds to play leaving Hawaii just a hail mary attempt before the clock hit zero.

          D. Andres, R. Len Bullicer and Jesus Kennedy all ended up with 16 pts well Andres worked hit butt off out rebounding the 2 bigger guy's to finish with 9, just 1 shy of a double double. D. Nagata finished 0/4, 0/2 3pt but did managed a team high and season high 10 assists well Freshman I. Dilligard added 13 pts and had 4 steals off the bench.

WITH THE WIN BSU GOES INTO THE WAC TOURNAMENT AS THE #1 SEED AND IS CURRENTLY RANKED #9 IN THE TOP-25 MEDIA POLL

            WAC TOURNAMENT PREVIEW

Boise State has won the regular season title for the 2nd straight year and will enter the tournament as the #1 seed. BSU with their #9 ranking in the Top-25 Media Poll and a (27-2) record are a lock for a invite to the NCAA Tournament but a tournament championship could easily push the Broncos into a #2 seed come Selection Sunday..

BSU will play the winner of (11-19, 3-13) Hawaii and (6-23, 4-12) San Jose State in Round 2. If BSU can pull off the win they would then face the winner of (17-13, 9-7) Utah State vs (17-12, 7-9) Fresno State.

On the opposite side of the bracket, we have #2 Seed (17-9, 11-5) New Mexico State vs (8-18, 6-10) Idaho and (19-9, 10-6) Nevada vs (17-13, 9-7) Utah State.

              WIN OR GO HOME

Going into Conference tourney play, several teams will need to make late runs to impress the selection committee or they will most likely find themselves either in the NIT or sitting at home watching "The Dance" on tv.

New Mexico State, Fresno State and Nevada are all closing in on 20 wins and a strong run in the WAC tournament even if it's a loss to BSU in the championship could help build their resume.

Here is a look at some of the other teams on the bubble from other conferences.

              (16-12) Wake Forest (RPI #23)
              (19-13) Arizona (RPI #42)
              (20-130 Washington State (RPI 41)
              (20-11) Ohio State (RPI 56)
              (19-13) Indiana (RPI 53)
              (19-11) Oklahoma State (RPI 49)
              (19-12) Michigan (RPI 37)
              (19-13) Arkansas (RPI 38)
              (24-6) VCU (RPI 59)
              (23-8) Pepperdine (RPI 60)
              (21-11) Southern Miss (RPI 66)
              (19-14) LSU (RPI 47)
              (20-12) Dayton (RPI 52)

              Other noteworthy

              SC Upstate (22-8)
              Belmont (20-10)
              Jacksonville (20-12)

should make for a interesting A-Sun tourney

              #12 (25-5) Xavier (should be a lock)
              (22-9) Temple
              (20-9) George Washington
              (21-7) UMass

A-10 could get 2-4 teams depending on how things shake out

              (20-12) UAB
              (20-11) Houston

join Southern Miss also with 20 wins out of CUSA

              (20-10) N. Iowa
              (20-10) Creighton
              (21-9) Southern Illinois
              (18-12) Wichita State

The Missouri Valley always seems to produce a team who does well in the tourney.

              (21-9) UNLV
              (20-15) BYU
              (17-12) Colorado State

Down year for the MWC who has a #12 RPI for the conference. UNLV won the regular season title but with a RPI of 68 will probably need to win the tourney to get in.

              (24-4) Wagner
              (20-10) C. Connecticut

Wagner has had a great year but with a RPI of 92, they will have to win if they want to dance.

              (19-9) Murray State
              (22-7) Samford

Samford won the regular season title but keep a eye on the Racers.

              (22-8) UNC Greensboro
              (21-8) Coll of Charl

The Spartans won the regular season title but with a RPI of 69 they will need to win the tourney as well if they want their season to continue.

              (19-12) ULM
              (19-14) N. Texas
              (19-11) W. Kentucky
              (21-7) Middle Tennessee

ULM won the regular season Sun Belt title, but they will have some competition trying to lock down the auto bid.

              (16-16) Gonzaga
              (18-12) LMU
              (17-14) Saint Mary's

Pepperdine won the regular season title going 10-4 in conference play but Gonzaga loves to dance. If they can beat St Mary's in Round 1, they would meet Pepperdine in the Semi and could have a pretty easy ride to the championship and the auto bid.

                BRONCOS SWEEP WAC TITLES!!

Boise State survived a semi final round upset vs Fresno State to advance to the championship to take on New Mexico State in a must win game for the Aggies coming out on top as they will now enter the tournament with a 30-2 record.

Here is a recap of the tournament.

Round 1 vs Hawaii (Final Score 96-73)

Tied at the half (43-43), the Broncos kicked it into gear in the 2nd half scoring 53 points with 4 players scoring in double digits.

                R. Len Bullicer led the way with 18 pts and 8 rebounds well D. Andres (16 pts), D. Nagata (14 pts 7 assists) helped carry the load. Senior Jeremy Plummer added 11 pts off the bench.

*Jesus Kennedy rolled his ankle and is listed as day to day as he scored 5 pts and grabbed 5 rebs.

Round 2 vs Fresno State (Final Score 83-80)

Another tie at the half (45-45). Fresno had a shot to force OT with 7 seconds to play but came up short.

Jesus Kennedy played despite being hurt and played well leading all scorers with 19 pts. R. Len Bullicer added 18 pts and 4 rebs as well and Freshman I. Dilligard had 11 pts off the bench despite going just 2/7 from downtown.

Championship vs New Mexico State (Final Score 81-74)

The first game BSU actually led at the half (37-33) but it still came down to the final minute as both teams traded 3's before BSU stepped to the line with 2.1 seconds to play with Len Bullicer connecting on a pair of 3's to give BSU the 6 point victory.

Bullicer finished with a team high 16 pts for Boise well Kennedy (14 pts), D. Andres (12 pts 6 reb) and D. Nagata (10 pts 7 assists) all contributed in the win.

Senior Taron McIntosh came into the game averaging (22.9 PPG) and is the favorite to win the WAC POY after scoring 30 pts and grabbing 9 rebounds in the loss.

Coach Scott is the favorite to win WAC Coach of the Year and is a finalist for NCAA Coach of the Year as well

With the wins, BSU finished the year #8 in the Top-25 Media Poll but still is unranked in the Coaches Poll. Currently the Broncos are projected for a #2 seed.

Dream season for Coach Scott and the Broncos! Weird that they're ranked #8 in the Media Poll but unranked in the Coaches' Poll - did Coach Scott ruffle some feathers with his colleagues at some point?

Best of luck in the NCAA tournament! Boise should have a good shot of making into the second weekend I think.

The media poll is a bit closer to the RPI, record and SOS. The coaches poll is heavily leaning on ratings. I've been almost 20 spots apart in the two before.

Ratings. My roster is still not great. My Freshman on my bench are actually higher rated then 4 of my 5 starters, but they are Juniors and with the Sweet 16 run we made last year with them I feel like my coaches wouldn't bench their starters to put in Freshmen.

Same can be said next year as well as only Kennedy is graduating. So if I happen to sign some highly rated 4* or my 1st 5* AA it will be interesting to see what I decide to do with the roster.

You are correct. My rating is only 79 Overall and next year it should bump a little with the incoming class, but my guess is I won't be a Top-25 preseason team for quite awhile.

                          LET'S DANCE!!

It's Selection Sunday folks. 32 teams have already secured their ticket to the Dance. Now the question is did your favorite team do enough to get one of the other 32 invites, or is your bubble going to be burst tonight

Before we take a look at the At-Large invites here is a breakdown of the teams that won auto invites with conference championship wins.

Big East (10 teams). The East takes the #1 RPI with 10 teams in. Crazy that teams like Georgetown, Louisville, Providence, and St John's are not part of that group as well as South Florida.

(26-7) Syracuse won the regular season title and (25-8) Pitt won the tournament championship and both teams look like potential #1 seeds

Big Ten (3 team)- It's a down year for the Big Ten as (20-12) Michigan and (20-13) Indiana get their bubbles popped. (22-11) Ohio State did their job winning the tournament championship over regular season champ (23-10) Michigan State.. (23-9) Purdue join them.

Big 12 (3 teams)-Also a down year for the Big 12. Oklahoma State had their bubble burst despite 21 wins. Kansas and K-State each only won 18 games leaving regular season champ (27-5) Texas A&M and tournament champ Texas (22-9) joined by (22-9) Baylor and (19-11) Oklahoma.

Pac-10 (7 teams). (19-13) Arizona State, (19-12) Arizona and (20-13) WSU were all on the bubble and all are headed to the Dance.. Washington almost joined them but fell in the championship game to (24-11) UCLA who is also joined by co-regular season champs, (22-11) Oregon State and (22-9) Oregon.

SEC (4 teams). (20-13) Arkansas and (22-11) Alabama are out and LSU went just (19-15) and havn't made the Dance for 3 straight years now.

(30-3) Florida won both the regular season and tournament championship. (25-6) Vanderbilt, (21-11) Tennessee and (23-9) Kentucky join the Gators who are likely a #1 seed.

"Interesting matchup of UNC vs Wake Forest in the 1st round, they split the in-season series with both teams winning on their homecourt so who will win on a neutral site. Pitt is a interesting choice for a #1 seed as they had the #7 RPI and were #5 in the Media Poll and only #7 in the Coaches. Most feel like TAMU should've gotten it.

Appreciate the clarification! I somehow never had CH2K8 growing up so that kind of gap between the two polls is strange to me, but that makes a lot of sense.

Looks like a decent draw for Boise with a weak #15 seed to start it off. Best of luck to the Broncos!

Yeah it's a weird system. Like even though I finished the year #9 in the Media Poll and will be returning 4 starters and 8 of my current 10 man rotation, because my Overall rating is still low I doubt I will even come close to getting into the Poll's next year either until probably 10-12 games into the season if I can start out like I did this year.

I felt like I got the best possible seed I could and the best spot. I could see a potential rematch with UCLA who I beat earlier in the year in the Elite 8 if they can manage to pull off a upset.

                                BRONCOS DOMINATE IN ROUND 1

Boise State entered the tournament as the 3rd highest scoring team in the nation and has showcased that offensive firepower with multiple games over 100 points scored this season.

Round 1's matchup with #15 VMI was no different. The Key-Cadets Defense was no match for the Broncos who scored 55 points in the 1st half on their way to a (106-79) victory.

All 5 starters scored in double digits and even the bench added 38 points led by Freshman SG R.Pekkola who finished with 13 pts on 3/3 from deep.

Jesus Kennedy (21 pts 7 reb 5 blks) and R. Len Bullicer (14 pts 7 reb 3 blks) owned the paint on both ends well PG R. Cowans finished with 13 pts 5 assists and 3 steals.

                                D. Nagatta and D. Andress each added 10 points as well.

WITH THE WIN BSU ADVANCES TO TAKE ON #10 CLEMSON WHO DEFEATED #7 NC STATE IN A ACC SHOWDOWN.
