        Tovarich: Questions?

Reporter: What does the win mean for you coach?

Tovarich: That we get to come back in 3 days. Thank you for bringing that up by the way.

Reporter: I didn't bring anything up coach.

Tovarich: Who decided to send 8 teams to a neutral court in Tennessee and then have 3 days in between games? Are we all supposed to go home and come back? Like, what genius came up with this plan?

Reporter: How did you feel about the game coach?

Tovarich: Ugly. Luckily we're at the point of the season where that doesn't mean anything. We couldn't rebound as usual. They couldn't shoot 3's. We were 2/5? on FT's there trying to close it out. We're lucky they had such an off shooting night. It certainly wasn't anything we did. They killed us with the blocks, but we drew a decent number of fouls in the end too.

Reporter: Would you like to play Samford again or hoping for an upset?

Tovarich: Since we didn't end up getting another crack at Murray State, I'm not sure I care. Crazy the 3-way tie for 7th and it comes to tenths of a percent on overall record. I'd probably better hope for an upset. I suspect Samford, who's the best team in the conference by far, was probably just sandbagging the whole regular season, because they shouldn't lose a game with the talent they have compared to the rest of us.

Tovarich: Maybe I take back everything about the conference sandbagging the regular season. Those guys got Samford shooting 16/56 and they weren't much better today. It still wasn't anything we did, that's for damn sure.

Reporter: Are you surprised to win the rebounding battle?

Tovarich: Well, God help us if we didn't against a team who missed twice as many shots as we did, and yet, we almost still got outrebounded. I'm used to playing teams who start no center, and they started two. So, +2 looks nice, but 33 to 17 on misses, it's actually still pretty embarrassing.

Reporter: Are you sure you don't have anything to do with the other teams' poor shooting?

Tovarich: Very. They're just bad. I don't think playing two teams who are 20-32 ought to put you on the precipice of a March Madness bid, but that's how bad our conference is. And the RPI says we're 25th, so you really have to wonder about some of these other leagues, because we have no one in the top 150 of the RPI.

Reporter: If you get Tennessee Tech a third time, what can you do differently?

Tovarich: I barely even remember those games, they were so long ago. We'll stick to our gameplan on offense-feed it to Crenshaw. I thought it was Samford when we got here we had to worry about, but Tennessee Tech is the one we haven't solved yet. We haven't solved most winning teams. I think we're still just 3-7 against winning teams, so as nice as our record looks, it's still heavy against the Sister of the Poor. Maybe Jacksonville State can help us out.

Tovarich: Never could solve the Tennessee Tech problem. 3 games, all went pretty much the same. They shot the lights out and we tried to keep up and we're just not built for it. 8/13 3's is pretty crazy if I hadn't seen them do something like that twice before probably. We couldn't make one.

Reporter: You had some chances at the end though.

Tovarich: Yeah, we get a miss down 5 with 32 seconds left, but they get the rebound. We get a steal and a layup to get to 3 and we get another steal, but we miss the 3. They miss the first one and one and we miss the tying 3 again. It's not something we're good at. We go 2 at a time, and it's harder to keep up when they're so good at shooting them, but it was all gravy as far as I'm concerned. We had no business being here with this roster.

Reporter: Is it disappointing to come so close?

Tovarich: It makes no difference. You win it all and get the 15 or 16 seed or you get nothing in this league.

Reporter: What do you expect the roster to look like next year?

Tovarich: Recruiting is hard to predict. I couldn't say. We're in ok shape on a couple recruits, but people swoop in at the last second out of nowhere all the time. Hopefully we picked the right guys who've fallen through the cracks while everyone else is out for some bigger fish.
