Both actually. I played the game against the Jets and against the Ravens. I simmed the one against the Patriots, figured I would get killed if I played it. So I was shocked with the win. My next game will be against the Colts, will play it, probably tomorrow evening.

Am considering a couple of trades. I think I am going to try and move OLB Wimbley. His leg is shot, down to 55% and is getting worse. I am also going to try and trade RB Howry. Joseph is progressing nicely and the other RBs can pick up the carries. I dont run as much as I used to so it is not that big of a deal. I am also going to try and get C Nick Mangold from the Jets. He is a great Center, still young and in great health. If I do, Farley is gone. He is 33 and his health has fallen to a 71%. As soon as LE Williams can be dumped, he is gone as well, one leg is at 20%, not much good to me.

Re: Bringing the Pride Back (HC 09)

      Trades executed:

ROLB Kamerion Wimbley: (89/90) I debated on trading him or just holding on and seeing if he got better healthwise. But after every week his health dropped. After the last game it was a 74%. Here was his worst ratings: Torso 74%, Right leg 71% and Left leg 56%. He couldnt even practice and I figured if I was going to take a hit with the owner it was better to do so now. So I sent him to the Eagles for their 2011 4th and 7th round picks. I moved MLB Ward to OLB to fill the roster hole.

LE Corey Williams: (86/87) This 30 year old was hardly even playing for me. His remaining 4 year contract was something I wanted to dump as soon as I could His contract was $5.57 this year and I took a hit of 10.6 to get rid of him, so I lost $5.0 mil, but it was worth it. Why pay him that much to sit the bench? His overall health was a 73%. His worst ratings are: Head 76%, Left arm 75%, Right leg 74% and Left leg 25%. I sent him to the Jets for their 2011 4th Round pick. I signed Rookie LE Bennie Bass for $1.0 mil.

C Nick Mangold: (91/92) I didnt want to resign C Hank Fraley. He is 33 years old, his health is 80%, and that is after resting him all week. His worst ratings areTorso 53% and Left leg 62%. I wanted to try and get Mangold as a replacement for him. I gave the Jets my 2011 2nd and 5th Round picks to get him. Mangold's Health is a 95% so he will be able to help right away.

DT Shaun Rogers: (89/89) He is another older player I want to move as soon as possible. He is 31, with a 4 year contract, and overall health at 75%. His legs are shot: Right leg 54% and Left leg 60%. But his contract numbers mean he will be around until next year, contract is $6.24 mil but his penalty is $13.3 million...too much to eat right now.

RB Laron Howry: (76/85) I may try to move him since I have Joseph now and 2 other young backs under contract.

        WEEK 4, COLTS @ BROWNS, SEP 26, 2010

I was expecting to lose this game. I normally struggle against the Colts. But the defense played just well enough to win and rookie RB Brooks had an awesome 96 yard kick return for a TD. Joseph really struggled this game so I am not sure what to do with him at this point. I will see how ti goes for the next week or 2.

          WEEK 5: OCTOBER 3, 2010 TAMPA BAY @ CLEVELAND

Just a couple of things with this win. I am happy overall with the team. But I am starting to see why Joseph was a FA. It is like he cant see the hole sometimes. Howry got injured the 1st Quarter so I had to play Joseph more. I am still not sure what I am going to do with him. The Defense fell apart the end of the 4th and almost gave the game away. RB Brooks is an AWESOME kick returner. He had his 2nd return for a TD. I am so pleased with Witten. He made both of his TD catches 1 handed. He was a great addition to the team!

Re: Bringing the Pride Back (HC 09)

Update on Re-signing of players: I almost always try to sign players to offer #1.

QB Derek Anderson: Will try to re-sign. Offer 1 is $62 mil/6 yrs, $32 mil bonus, no incentinves, offer 24 is $72 mil/6 yrs, $38 mil bonus

WR Braylon Edwards: Cant decide. Has not been a factor the last couple of games, may try to trade. Offer 1 is $47.4 mil for 6 yrs, $10 mil bonus, offer 35 is $53.4 mil for 6 yrs, $22 mil bonus and 3 incentives worth $6 mil total

HB Joseph: Still not sure. Offer 1 is $26 mil for 5 yrs, $5 mil bonus, offer 26 is $30 mil for 5 yrs, $15 mil bonus and 3 incentives

C Nick Mangold: Will sign. Offer 1 is $33.62 mil for 6 yrs, $6 mil bonus, offer 20 is $37.62 mil for 6 yrs, $ 14 mil bonus, 2 incentives. He has already dropped to offer 8 so he should sign soon.

            P Kern: Re-signed to a 2 yr, $1.32 million contract, no bonus.

              WEEK 6, OCTOBER 10, 2010 DOLPHINS @ BROWNS

This game was just like the last one, I had a comfortable lead going into the final 10 minutes then fell apart again. But once again I came away with the win. I am going to shop WR Edwards around and see what I can get for him. He had a drop in this one and was out of bounds on 3 passes that cost me big time. I just dont see paying him that kind of money. The running game came alive though as Joseph seemed to finally figure out what to do with the ball. He had 2 carries of over 20 yards each called back on holding penalties though or his numbers would have been even better.

                WEEK 7, OCTOBER 17, 2010 BROWNS @ FALCONS

This one was tougher than the score shows. I couldnt stop them on 3rd down, especially 3 and long. They converted 3 and 13 three times on one drive. I figured I would need to roll the dice and this one and it worked. On 4th and short I went for it, 4 times. 2 of them turned in to long TD runs. Joseph has finally shown why his numbers are so high. He is a keeper! Next game is going to be a tough one...at Pittsburgh.

                  WEEK 8, 0CT0BER 18, 2010 CLEVELAND @ PITTSBURGH

Well I had this nice write-up just about finished covering this game when my power went out from the storms that were going through the area. So I will just give you the quick overview. The Browns won 41-7. The running game was good in this game, but not as good as the last one. Anderson struggled, completing only about 50% of his passes, but the Steelers struggled much more. My defense got 6 sacks and 4 turnovers to keep this one out of reach. I was up 21-0 before they were able to score.

Edwards once again was not a factor in the game, but I am stuck with him. I had written the date I needed to trade him down wrong so I missed the trade deadline. I may franchise him if I dont have to use it on MLB King or RB Joseph. If one of them dont sign guess I lose Edwards and get nothing in return.

QB Derek Anderson was resigned for Offer #1. So he will be in Cleveland for a while.

DT Shaun Rogers is out. His health is at 52% and he is not playing at all.

So going into the Bye week, the Browns are in great shape, the only undefeated team in the NFL. We will see how long they can continue.

I will put the mid-season standings up as soon as I get home tonight.

I dont think I have either. It will be interesting what impact that has on the playoffs since it looks like no one except the division leaders wants a winning record in the AFC.

So I had almost all of the stats finished for the game at Denver and my power flickered again! I think there is a conspiracy!

So anyway, the Browns won 35-14. HB Joseph once again proved why I want to keep him. He only had 78 yards rushing, but boy did he make them count going into the end zone 5 times. I love using him when I get inside the 5. But I also had some dismal failures inside the 5. I had 3 red zone possesions that went backwards and since Serna was hurt on the opening kickoff, my punter missed all 3 FGS.

My defense let Cutler have an awesome day torching me for a 24-29 perfomance and over 340 yards. But, they put the smackdown on the receivers after they got the ball, forcing 4 fumbles.

So my record is 9-0 and we get ready to play the Bills. Hopefully I can get a game played AND get the stats in the computer to get this back on track.

                            Kickoffs are a bitch.

That was a first for me. Said he was out the rest of the game for a "Strained Back" Guess he needs to worry about just kicking it into the end zone and not out the back of it!

Really screwed up my game plan though! Thank goodness the Broncos had butterfingers and couldnt hold on to the ball or I think this one would have turned out differently. It is never good to leave points on the field...especially 3 times!
