      BACK TO BACK ACC CHAMPIONS
Cismesia hits GW FG as time expires

Jacksonville, FL(AP)-For the second year in a row, FSU stuns the ACC and wins the conference crown. It again came down to field goal but this time the FSU had the lucky rabitt's foot. Or make that Cismesia's foot. He calmly nailed a 35 yarder from straight on as time expired capping off another great game. FSU looked to be in control early, jumping out to a 14-0 lead. But Miami showed why they are so tough and came back to grab to next 10 before Cismesia hit is only other field goal attempt right before half, giving the Noles the 17-10 advantage. The 3rd quarter saw both defenses tighten up and the only score came from Miami's Tyrone Moss on a 2 yard plunge knotting the score at 17.

Much like the first meeting, fireworks were about to go off. Miami's Kyle Wright had 2 td passes in the final frame to give the Canes a stranglehold on the game with only 3:45 remaining. Down 31-17 FSU did not panic and in less than a minute, Weatherford found Greg Carr from 24 yards out to cut the lead in half. There was 3 minutes to go and FSU had all their timeouts so the elected to kick it deep. They stuffed Moss in the backfield on 1st down and then knoced him out of bounds on 2nd after only allowing him back to the original line of scrimmage. Faced with a 3rd and 10, Miami coach Larry Coker elected to try a pass play in hopes they could convert and force FSU to burn their timeouts. The result was disastrous for the Canes as CB Trevor Ford picked off the errant pass and raced 30 yards untouched to tie the game at 31 with 1:50 left.

On the ensuing drive it looked like Miami was content to go into overtime as they handed the ball off to Moss on 1st and 2nd downs. Bad decision as Ford came up from his DB spot to nail Moss in the backfield and causing a fumble on the Miami 38. Big Alex Boston fell on it and set up a few Booker runs to get Cismesia into winning field goal range. This win gives the Noles an automatic berth to the Orange Bowl where they hope to perform better than last year. More than likely, the Canes will head back to Atlanta to play an SEC foe in the Peach.

              FSU Ruins Mountaineers Undefeated Season

Miami, FL(AP)-It was the perefect ending to his innagural season. Coach Kodiak and his boys used a balanced effort to knock West Virginia from the perch of the unbeaten. The Noles raced out to a 20-7 half time lead thanks n large part to two Booker touchdown runs. Just when the Mounties thought they could make a run, pulling to 23-17 Booker again sealed the deal with his 3rd scoring run, this time from 17 yards out. "I am proud of him. It was really special to see that young man go out with such a great game. Now its time to work on his draft status." chimed Coach Kodiak on L Boogie's night. "As for me, well I will enjoy this for a couple of days and then head off to the recruiting trail. I also have several speaking engagements to attend and then I will take a nice long vacation, then come back in time for spring practice." Greg Carr added a touchdown reception and Gary Cismesia had 4 field goals to cap off the Noles point total.
