                  GAME ON

                  East Carolina @ #15Florida State

Tallahassee, FL(AP)-While some rain and wind might be present, the game will kick off as planned on Saturday. The Noles look to start things off at home before hitting the road for the next 5 weeks before returing home to face their rivals from down south, the #4 Miami Hurricanes. FSU is favored by 24 and should not have a problem, but if the weather is bad anything can happen. Stay tuned for full coverage in the Sunday edition.

High Scoring Affair in Deseree's Aftermath Sees FSU WIN

Tallahassee, FL(AP)-Talk about strange events. With the wind gusting up to 40 mph and the rain coming in sideways, FSU found a way to win a wild one Saturday afternoon. Falling behind 22-0 early, FSU clawed and fought their way back to win a wild shootout. In a game marred with turnovers, FSU pulled out the 63-43 win. At times guys on both teams looked to be literally slipping off of tackles and on their cuts. The wind notwithstanding, the offenses had the better day. Had it not been for some timely turnover created by the highly tauted FSU secondary, this one could have been over before half time.

In an effort to try and curb the INT's I am switching to Playmakers Heisman Sliders.

NOLES GET LATE TD TO SQUEAK PAST TIDE

Tuscaloosa, AL(AP)-Florida State used a Antone Smith touchdown to help rally them past the pesky Tide on Saturday afternoon. With under a minute to go and trailing 34-30, Antone Smith scored the winning touchdown just moments after Jamall Edwards had his winning touchdown reversed by the booth by way of instant replay. The booth made the right call but that would only delay the inevitable as the Noles seemed to have things going their way early. After converting two Alabama miscues into a 14-0 lead, FSU extended it to 24-7 before Bama got a late td to go into half down 10. In the third all thingd were rolling for the Tide as they cause two Drew Weatherford fumbles, both taken back to the house. What was a 10 point lead was now a 4 point disadvantage. The two would trade field goals, the last by Alabama with 2:52 remaining that set up FSU's game winning drive. Up next for FSU is a trip to Chestnutt Hill, where they open up ACC play.
