        12-28-06 : Army (5-5) @ #13 Michigan (11-2)

        Wolverines Devour Black Knights, 79-48

Coming off a pretty good showing against the Irish, Army heads up to the Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan to take on the nationally ranked Michigan Wolverines.

        First Half
Harris leads Michigan on an 8-3 run to begin the game then Sewell and Brown hit jumpers to cut the deficit in half. After a layup by Abram and a jumper by Smith, the Wolverines lead by 8, 12-4, with 15:00 remaining. Smith and Harris lead Michigan on a 10-2 run as they open the lead up. A jumper by Harris puts the Wolverines now up by 18, 24-6, halfway through the first half. Sewell taps in a shot and Sinning puts in a layup as Army tries to come back but a hook shot by Petway and a layup by Courtney Sims gets the points back. Jumpers by Sinning and Brown chip at the Wolverines' lead but after Harris sinks a 3-pointer, Michigan is up by 15, 31-16, with 5:00 left. Harris continues his hot play and leads Michigan on an 8-3 run. After a free throw by Bates and a 3-pointer by DeShawn Sims, Marshall Jackson puts in a layup as the Wolverines lead by 20 at the half. Michigan's Dion Harris leads all scorers with 17 points and Brown leads the Black Knights with 6.

        Second Half
Bell Sinks a jumper and a 3-pointer in leading Army on a 7-3 run to cut the deficit to 16. After a trade of baskets, Corutney Sims puts in a hook shot to give Michigan an 18 point lead, 49-31, with just under 15:00 remaining. The Wolverines start to pour it on as a tip in and a short runner by Petway sparks them on a 12-0 run. Shepherd puts in a layup on a fast break and now Michigan leads by 30, 61-31, midway through the second half. The teams are going basket for basket and after a jumper by Bell, Michigan's lead is now 29, 71-42, with 5:00 left. The teams trade a few baskets and Price finishes the game with a monsterous dunk as the Wolverines blow out the Black Knights.
