Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty

Alright all my operation sports dynasty readers, I have decided to break out an old favorite of mine, Fast Break College Basketball. I'm going to run an interactive type dynasty. I am taking signups for the first season. Here is what I need:

    Player name
    Height/Weight
    Position
    High School
    City, State

I will edit the top rated recruit in your position of your state, and follow him on the recruiting path, all the way to the NBA if he makes it that far. Now I've done a couple of these in the past, and they do take a lot of time to write up, and it can get pretty stressful, so I will be taking limited signups for the first few seasons. I think I will start with about 4 or 5 this first season.

I had considered doing a dynasty report with TCY, but I'm not exactly sure how to edit things in it. Here is my first recruit:

    Mike Schaplowsky
    6'8'', 235
    PF
    Wichita West High School
    Wichita, KS

Hope to get this started tonight, so please give me some recruits to work with.

    Player Name: Nick Angiotti
    Height/Weight: 6'4 210
    Position: PG
High School: John F. Kennedy High
    City, State: Buffalo, NY
    # 61 (if you can edit it, doesn't matter)

I haven't played basketball since I was younger, and I used the school my brother went to, but this should be pretty cool, looking forward to a dynasty other than hockey.

I'll have you in for recruiting for the first season, I'm hoping to get 2 or 3 more names in within the next few hours so I can get through recruiting season 1 tonight. I love the interactive dynasties, you just don't see them too much anymore. Have to admit I don't follow hockey much, but I'd be interested in being in your interactive dynasties if you do them. Personally I'm partial to football, basketball, baseball, and soccer

trust me, once I get NHL '09, I'll have an interactive dynasty, two normal dynasties, and two Be-A-Pro's running on the boards at some point. you'll definetley be in the interactive one, and this'll be cool as well, I'm not a big basketball fan, but its nice to see something different like this, and be a part of it.

Here's the last dynasty I'm doing on NHL for the 360:

Great job guys, I have my 5 to start with. I will get you guys into the game tonight and do the recruiting process for your season. For season 2, I will be looking for a few more recruits, so I'm hoping to get more people signed up for tomorrow. If not, I may have you guys throw some more recruits in. I want this dynasty to be good, so I'm going to need interaction. The more people involved, the better. If you guys know people, let them know about this. Give me a few minutes to set things up and I'll have the initial recruiting preview up.

                    Recruiting Preview:

                    August 2008

PG Nick Angiotti (6'4''', 210, John F. Kennedy High, Buffalo, NY) ranked #8 nationally
Top 5 schools: Arizona, St. Johns, Illinois, Florida, Syracuse
Scouting Report: For being the #8 recruit and #1 PG, he doesn't seem to have a lot. His potential is very high, but he is currently only averaging 13.7 ppg and 3.9 apg. His A/TO ratio is only 1.5. Not the strongest defensive player out there, but as I said, he's got a world of potential. A couple years in college will do him some good.

SG Matt Logmans (6'4'', 218, Passaic Valley High School, Totowa, NJ) #10
Top 5 schools: Ohio St., Georgia, Michigan St., Mississippi, Tennessee
Scouting Report: Having a bad senior year shooting the ball, only shooting 13.9% from three point land. On the other hand, he is still averaging 18.1 points a game. He has quick hands, usually getting at least 3 or 4 steals a game. He will be a great pure shooter, and his biggest keys are his quickness, and his 42" vertical.

SF Brandon Crawford (6'9'', 220, West Carleton Secondary School, Ontario, Canada) #19
Top 5 schools: Duke, Texas, Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona
Scouting Report: A solid shooter from the arc, shooting 30.9% from three point land. Has the ability to slash and make things happen in the paint. Has great hands and has the potential to be an excellent shot blocker. Needs to work on his jumping ability however.

PF Mike Schaplowsky (6'8", 235, Wichita West High School, Wichita, KS) #20
Top 5 schools: Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, Maryland, Texas
Scouting Report: Definitely has the potential to get a double double every game, as he's averaging 11.4 points and 8.6 rebounds a game in his senior year of high school. Actually a better offensive rebounder than defensive, gives his team second and third shots quite often. Doesn't stay in the game too long, really needs to work on his stamina. For the minutes that he plays, he puts up some great stats.

SG Mike Korz (6'4'', 200, Oak Hill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, VA) #24
Top 5 schools: Kentucky, Cincinnati, Texas, Illinois, Tennessee
Scouting Report: Another solid shooter, with a jump shot rating of 75. Doesn't shoot the three ball well, only shooting about 20% this year. Has solid potential to become a good outside shooter. Turns the ball over a little much, averaging about 3.5 turnovers a game.

So that rounds out our 2008-09 recruiting class. 2 of our 5 guys are in the top 10 nationally, but I'd be surprised to see any of our class turn pro. In my opinion, all of us could improve with a coupel years of college.

                      September 2008

PG Nick Angiotti- A couple changes, as Florida has moved up to Angiottis front runner, and Arizona is down to 3rd. Syracuse is out of the top 5 and Texas is in. No scholarship offers as of yet.

SG Matt Logmans- Not much to report here, top 3 remain the same, Tennessee is up to 4th on the list, and Kentucky slips in while Mississippi is out.

SF Brandon Crawford- No changes in Brandons top 5, looks like Duke is his favorite as of now.

PF Mike Schaplowsky- Lots of changes for Mike this month, as Kansas has moved up to #1 in his list, and Arizona down to #2. 3 new teams enter, as Iowa St., Oklahoma St., and a surprised Utah jump in. Oklahoma, Maryland, and Texas are out.

SG Mike Korz- All but one school has changed in Mr. Korz's top 5, which now stands like this: Missisippi, Missisippi St., Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Wake Forest. The Bearcats are the only one still in the top 5 from last month.

                        October 2008

PG Nick Angiotti- St. Johns and Illinois are the first 2 schools to offer Angiotti a scholarship. Nick is still thinking about the NBA, as it won't be long before the early departures are announced.

SG Matt Logmans- Ohio St. has moved in as Matt's #1, as they have offered him a scholarship along with Michigan St. and Georgia.

SF Brandon Crawford- Stanford comes out of nowhere to become Crawfords top choice at the moment. Although no schools have offered Brandon a scholarship, it won't be long.

PF Mike Schaplowsky- Utah has been replaced in Mikes top 5 with Creighton. Surprisingly, Mikes favorite school, Wichita St. is nowhere in his top 5. "I want to play for a winner, and my Shockers just aren't good enough." Kansas, Iowa St., and Arizona have offered Mike scholarships.

SG Mike Korz- No changes in his top 5, although Mississippi, Mississippi St., and Cincinnati have all offered scholarships.

                          November 2008

PG Nick Angiotti- Nick has pleased his followers by deciding not to join the draft, instead signing with St. Johns. "I know I still have to polish my skills before I go to the draft. St Johns has a great coach and I should fit in nicely there."

SG Matt Logmans- Matt is taking his 18 points a game to Ohio St. who really recruited him hard and gave him the best offer. "Nothing wrong with Ohio St., they always need good shooters there."

SF Brandon Crawford- In a move that has shocked everybody, Brandon signed.. but not with a team that was in his top 5 last month. Instead, Mr. Crawford will be attending Tulsa? "Tulsa has a nice history, they have gone far in the tournament a few times, and I know I can help them to the final four." Good luck Brandon.

PF Mike Schaplowsky- No surprise here, as the Kansas Jayhawks have won the bidding war for Schaplowsky. "How could I not sign here? They have always been my second favorite team, and they are always a national championship contender."

SG Mike Korz- Missisippi was Mikes #1 school all the way to the finish, and he finally signed with them today. "I realize some people don't think Mississippi is much to brag about, but you have to go to the school that fits your needs the best. They wanted me, and they sold me on the fact that I needed them."

I think this is the earliest ever in the 3 dynasty reports that I've done that all of the first recruiting class signed before the season started. There were definitely some surprises, I'm still shocked at how Tulsa came out of nowhere to sign Brandon Crawford.
