OK, that gives me one recruit for season 2, I can throw another in and make it 2. I'd like a couple more if possible before I get things going again.

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
2007-2008 season wrap-up
How our recruits teams fared
St. Johns (Nick Angiotti)
A rough year for St. Johns, who actually had a winning conference record at 9-7, but only finished 14-17 on the season, and did not get into postseason play. Nick was the top recruit in the St. Johns recruiting class which ranked 11th nationally. The AD expects St. Johns to reach the sweet sixteen.
Ohio St. (Matt Logmans)
The Buckeyes also struggled this past season, finishing with a dismal 6-10 record in the Big Ten, and a 17-17 record overall, not good enough for postseason play. The Buckeyes recuriting class ranked 17th, and Ohio St. is also expected to make the sweet sixteen this year.
Tulsa (Brandon Crawford)
Tulsa was robbed of an NCAA berth this year, finishing 17-1 in the WAC and 28-10 overall. They should have been in the NCAA, but were snubbed. Instead, the Golden Hurricane went to the NIT and finished 3rd. They are expected to win the conference championship easily this year. Tulsa's recruiting class was a little down, only 33rd best in the nation.
Kansas (Mike Schaplowsky)
Kansas has the best prestige of our 5 recruits teams, but had a down year last year. They finished 6-10 in the Big Twelve, and just squeaked into the NCAA tournament, where they were bounced in the first round. Kansas had the #2 recruiting class in the nation, and Mike will have help in the frontcourt, as the Jayhawks' top recruit was C Frank Jorgensen. With those two in the paint, the Hawks are expected to make it back to the final four.
Mississippi (Mike Korz)
The Rebels started the season really strong, then faded late. They still finished with a respectable 21-12 record, and 10-6 in a very tough SEC, but were bounced in the first round of the NCAA tournament. With the 27th ranked recruiting class, the Rebels are expected to reach the sweet sixteenLast edited by sportsfanmas; 09-11-2008, 08:35 PM.Comment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
2008-2009 season preview
Preseason Tournaments
St. Johns (Nick Angiotti) was given a #5 seed in the preseason NIT. They'll face #12 Florida St. in their first tournament game.
Mississippi (Mike Korz) was invited as the #5 seed to the Top of the World Invitational. They'll take on #4 Iowa in their first game.
Kansas (Mike Schaplowsky) will be traveliing to Hawaii to be the #2 seed in the Rainbow Invitational. Hawaii as expected got the #1 seed.
Ohio State (Matt Logmans) is the #5 seed in the Las Vegas Invitational. Too bad Matt isn't old enough to gamble yet.
Tulsa (Brandon Crawford) is leaving the states and going to Puerto Rico to be the #3 seed in the San Juan Classic.
So all of our recruits will be playing in tournaments this year, congrats to them.Comment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
should be starting on season 2 soon, I can add 3 recruits to the mix. That would give me 8 to work with. I'm still hoping to get more interaction from the readers. That's what will keep this thing goingComment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
2009 Recruiting Class
August 2009
SG C.R. Ques (6'2'', 200, Mountain State Academy, Beckley, WV) #14 overall
Top 5 schools: Cincinnati, UCLA, Syracuse, Duke, Oklahoma
Scouting Report: C.R. is our first 5 star recruit, even though there were 4 star recruits ranked higher than him last year. Although he is only shooting 18.3% from three point land, he has the ability to be a deadly outside shooter. Pretty solid defensively, doesn't pass the ball very well however. His 3.7 turnover average has got to be lowered.
PG Nick Medicis (6'2'', 200, Rome Free Academy, Syracuse, NY) #19
Top 5 schools: Duke, Kentucky, Arizona, Stanford, Maryland
Scouting Report: Has the ability to be a solid Division 1 point guard. Has great skills passing the ball, problem is he's about the only player worth a darn at his high school. He's only averaging 12 points and 3 assists a game, and he is involved in about 25% of his teams points. He's a solid free throw shooter as well, you definitely want the ball in his hands with a lead late in the game, as he shoots 73.1% from the stripe.
C Shannon Elliott (6'10'', 240, Lebanon High School, Lebanon, OR) #25
Top 5 schools: Illinois, Texas, Stanford, Syracuse, Cincinnati
Scouting Report: This guy is a shot blocker extraordinare. He blocks almost 4 shots a game during his senior year so far. Unfortunately he's not as strong of an inside player as you would want for a center. Yes he averages 16 points a game, but it takes him 15 shots a game to do it. Missed way too many easy shots.
So there it is folks, the 3 recruits for this year, plus the 5 from last year gives me 8. If you want to sign up, you are more than welcome to, I am only going to run 10 players at a time, so I'll take 2 more signups for season 3 before I cut it off. Hope you all are still enjoying.Comment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
September 2009
SG C.R. Ques
Kansas really wants to have the best team next year, as they have jumped up to #1 on C.R.'s top 5. Also in are Tennessee, Wake Forest, and Connecticut. Cincinnati is now 5th in the top 5.
PG Nick Medicis
Utah, Ohio St., and Wisconsin have jumped into Nick's top 5, with Arizona and Kentucky holding the top 2 spots. Duke, Stanford, and Maryland are all out.
C Shannon Elliott
Shannon looks like he might want to stay close to home, as he now has Stanford and Oregon as his 1/2. Cincinnati and Illinois are still in the running, and now Temple has broken into the top 5.Comment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
October 2009
SG C.R. Ques
C.R.'s top 5 is still the same, with some adjusting around. Kansas, Wake Forest, and Connecticut have sent scholarship offers to C.R.
PG Nick Medicis
Boston College has jumped into the mix with a scholarship offer to Nick, but as of right now, Ohio St. is still the #1 school for Nick's services. Kentucky is #2, and both have offered scholarships. Wisconsin got the boot.
C Shannon Elliott
The rumor that Shannon will be staying close to home seems to be becoming more true, as Stanford and Oregon are the only schools to offer Shannon a scholarship to this point. They are also his #1 and 2 respectively.Comment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
November 2009
As expected, all 3 of our recruits have signed, let's find out where.
SG C.R. Ques
Ques will join last years recruit Mike Schaplowsky at Kansas in what could be a good inside-outside combo. "I'll put em up, and if I miss, he can get the rebound and put em in!" Sounds like Kansas is stacked for the next 4, no wait, 5 years.
PG Nick Medicis
Like Kansas, Ohio St. has picked up another recruit, and the backcourt should be solid for the next few years, as Medicis has decided to go with Ohio St. "It's gonna be a fun 4 years, especially playing with a shooter like Matt Logmans."
C Shannon Elliott
In a move that shocked everybody, Shannon has decided to sing with... Stanford. OK, are you really shocked. "I thought about going to Kansas and playing with my best friend Mike Schaplowsky, but I love it too much out west. Stanford has a great basketball program and also excels in academics." Maybe Shannon has the right idea, thinking of a life after NCAA basketball.Comment

Re: Fast Break College Basketball Interactive Dynasty
Our first 5 recruits are ready to hit the court, with the season openers right around the corner. Let's take a look at how the depth chart stacks up for our Fab Five.
PG Nick Angiotti (St. Johns)- Nick will be the starting PG to start out the season for St. Johns, but don't expect him to play much in the early going. He is only figuring on playing about 15-20 minutes a game, with backup PG Dewitt Armstrong getting as many, if not more minutes.
SG Matt Logmans (Ohio St.)- Like Nick, Matt will be starting for his team when the first game comes around. Matt will start at SG, but with a guard stacked roster, he'll be splitting time with about 3 or 4 different guards.
SF Brandon Crawford (Tulsa)- Fresh off their 3rd place run in the postseason NIT, the Golden Hurricane have decided to stick with the starting lineup that got them there, meaning Crawford will come off the bench. He is 7th on the depth chart, which means he should see good minutes, early in the game.
PF Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas)- In a shocking decision, the Jayhawks elected not to redshirt Mr. Schaplowsky, instead putting him at the bottom of the depth chart, all the way at 14th. Mike may waste his freshman year sitting on the bench. When asked about it, Mike had only this to say.. "No comment."
SG Mike Korz (Mississippi)- Korz is also not expected to play a lot, as he is 12th on the depth chart. Tough times for our 2 Mikes, definitely not what they expected this season.
In other preseason news, Kansas is ranked 17th in the polls while Mississippi is 22nd.Comment
