            Both pitchers, Peavy and Harang pitched strong inning through 7 innings. In the 8th, the Reds finally got a string of hits together in the 8th inning, the Reds took their 3-1 lead.

            Giles got on base (2-4), and Hernendez hit a homerun to drive him in, but the Reds closed the game, and [b]the Padres losing streak continues to 5 games, and they lose 3-2{/b]
