    Re: LSU Bayou Bengals (CH2K5)

    South Carolina @ LSU

After dropping their first conference game of the season, the depressed Louisiana State Tigers headed back to the Bayou to take on the Gamecocks of South Carolina.

The first half was so lopsided, Avril Lavigne's chest was asking for autographs. The Tigers were lights out, hitting every shot from anywhere on the floor. The Gamecocks, however, were the exact opposite. They couldn't hit from close range, mid range, or long range.. which pretty much rules out every geographical location on the court. Going into the half, LSU held a comfortable, very comfortable 21 point lead.

However, the second half is where good teams pull away and the mediocre ones fall apart. Obviously, the Tigers are currently a mediocre team. After BLOWING a 21 point lead they held going into the half, LSU soon found themselves facing a 5 point deficit with a minute and change left. They battled back, tying it up, but were soon shot down by a quick USC basket. After resorting to fouling, the Tigers dropped their second consecutive conference game, 85-80 against the Gamecocks.

    Players Of The Game
    LSU - Antonio Hudson - 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists
    USC - Tre Kelley - 25 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds

    LSU
    Minor - 19 points, 11 assists
    Bass - 17 points, 15 rebounds

    USC
    Gonner - 20 points, 10 assists
    Powell - 17 points, 8 rebounds

    Next Game..
    Ohio State @ LSU

            Ole Miss @ LSU

The lowly Rebels of Mississippi visited Baton Rouge and took on the Tigers of Louisiana State, who were hoping to boost their conference wins to three.

You didn't have to be a basketball fan to figure out that this one was lopsided from the get-go. Ole Miss absolutley refused to have anything to do with being competitive, and the Tigers quickly jumped out to a 20 point lead.

Usually, those kind of defecits are hard to overcome. However, nothing is set in stone when you're playing LSU, as teams have figured out this year. Against Ole Miss, though, the Tigers held on, 68-53.

            Players Of The Game
            LSU - Antonio Hudson - 23 points, 3 assists
            MISS - Kendrick Fox - 16 points, 4 rebounds

            LSU
            Minor - 13 points, 11 assists
            Koundjia - 10 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals

            MISS
            Eddie - 10 points, 11 rebounds
            Johnson - 8 points, 6 rebounds
