Southeastern Conference

The SEC, usually known for its big men, is being dominated by guard-oriented teams this season. A very tight race, the conference looks to stay competitive throughout the year.. but VANDERBILT!?

Pacific-10

The Pac-10, although not favored by the media, usually produces quality basketball. With a few powerhouse schools in the conference, nobody likes traveling to play on the West Coast against these guys..

Miss. State @ LSU

The Bulldogs of Mississippi State visited the Bayou to square off against the surging Tigers.

Lawrence Roberts & Co. soon found themselves down, BIG, to the Bayou Bengals. At one point in the first half, the deficit reached 23 points. However, Sir Roberts himself almost singlehandedly brought his team back into contention. Going into the half, it was an eleven point lead for LSU.

The second half continued where the first left off, a MSU comeback. Roberts was hitting from everywhere.. and when he didn't, he got his own rebound and put it back up. After an LSU timeout, things seemed to go a little better for the Tigers.

Late in the game, it was all knotted up. Antonio Hudson quickly scored for LSU, then ran down the court to make a key defensive stop on Shane Power, who had been lights out in the second half. The Bulldogs resorted to fouling, giving the Tigers the 70-67 victory.

The Tigers have been playing exceptional basketball as of late, and expect to continue that trend during this tough stretch of their schedule.

The red hot Bayou Bengals from Baton Rouge traveled to the Peach State in hopes of taking down the struggling Bulldogs.

From a very early stage, it was apparent that Georgia was overmatched in this contest. The Tigers were hitting everything from every location possible on a basketball court, and the Bulldogs were just letting them do it.

The starters barely played any in the second half, as there was no point to run up an already huge lead of 30 points. The Tigers took this one very easily, 90-68.
