      Auburn @ LSU

The battle of the Tigers - Auburn visited the Bayou and took on LSU.

Even early on, players, coaches, and onlookers alike knew that this would be a long game for Auburn. It wasn't the fact that they couldn't score, or the fact they couldn't stop LSU, or the fact that they kept turning the ball over, or the fact they couldn't rebound, or the fact.. wait, yes it was. Auburn was unable to do anything, and at the half, they found themselves down by a massive amount of 30 points.

The Bayou Bengals put in their reserves to start the second half, and they played until about midway through the period. They kept up the lead, and made sure to limit the mini-runs that Auburn attempted. After the starters returned, it was well over, and LSU took this one, 78-58.

      Players Of The Game
      LSU - Brandon Bass - 14 points, 10 rebounds
      AU - Ian Young - 21 points, 4 rebounds

      LSU
      Koundjia - 13 points, 6 rebounds
      Minor - 11 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds

      AU
      LeMelle - 12 points
      Brown - 11 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds

      Next Game..
      LSU @ Arkansas

          Re: LSU Bayou Bengals (CH2K5)

          LSU @ Arkansas

The confident Tigers traveled to Arkansas to take on the tough Razorbacks, a club that was tough on a way to an LSU victory last time they played.

Early on, the Tigers wondered if this was the same Arkansas team they saw last time. The Razorbacks looked like they were in a three-point shootout at the State Fair, and none of them were taking home any prizes. LSU had no trouble scoring, however, as they jumped out to a thirteen point halftime lead.

The second half went a little better for Arkansas, and they finally got in a scoring groove. After shooting just 41% in the first half, the 'Backs surged and shot 64% in the second period. However, all of this was wasted, as the Tigers beat Arkansas for the second time this season, 86-83.

          Players Of The Game
          LSU - Brandon Bass - 31 points, 13 rebounds
          ARK - Jonathon Modica - 27 points

          LSU
          Minor - 17 points, 11 assists
          Koundjia - 13 points, 4 assists

          ARK
          Brewer - 24 points
          Jones - 13 points, 5 rebounds

          Next Game..

                          LSU @ Mississippi State

In Starkville, Mississippi, Bulldog fans were anxiously awaiting the LSU Tigers to come to town. Miss. State was looking to avenge their loss to LSU earlier in the season.

The first half was all LSU. Things were looking grim for the Bulldogs, and the Tigers were confident they would get their second win this season over MSU. Lawrence Roberts did close to nothing in the first half, tallying only 5 points and 3 rebounds. Although no dominant scorer emerged for LSU, their balanced attack produced a seven point lead at halftime.

Later on, the Bulldogs stormed back. Led by the scoring of Winsome Frazier and the rebounding of Roberts on the inside, MSU soon jumped out to a huge lead. At one time, the 'Dogs were up by 20 over the Tigers, and they wouldn't give that lead up. LSU once pulled to within 8, but this game was well over. The Bulldogs got their revenge, beating the Bayou Bengals, 72-59.
