Antonio Hudson should be - he has the size, quickness, and strength to play with any guard in the nation.. too bad he's always getting lost in traffic, stuck behind screens, and leaves his man open more often than not.

Regis Koundjia is probably my best perimeter defender, though. Long arms and good quickness, nobody has really done anything when he's guarding them.

The Seminoles traveled west to take on the disappointed Tigers, who were looking to come back strong after their first loss of the year.

Early on, it looked as if LSU was still dragging from the Houston game. Their offense was sluggish, and their defense was almost non-existant. Florida State did anything they wanted with the ball, shooting 55% in the first half. Tack Minor was the lone bright spot on the LSU squad, scoring 11 in the first half and dishing out 6 dimes.

The second half was very much the same for the Tigers, and this one was never really that close. Besides a late surge at the end, LSU got their butts handed to them, and lost their second straight game - this time by the score of 89-80.

The LSU Tigers took a little fieldtrip to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the Utes.

The Tigers came out on fire, hitting shot after shot. Although the starters soon found themselves struggling out there, the reserves picked them up. Tyrus Thomas had his finest game of the year off of the bench, picking up the scoring when Antonio Hudson was in foul trouble. Going into the half, LSU was up by 12.

The second half was about the same, no major runs to speak of. The Tigers excelled behind a balanced attack, and put away Utah, 77-63, ending LSU's two game skid.

The Louisiana State Tigers started their brutal conference schedule against the Crimson Tide in Alabama. The Tide are currently ranked #11, and the Bayou Bengals have recently fallen off the charts completely.

Early on, it was easy to see exactly why the Tigers have fallen off as of late. Their shooting was streaky, and their defense horrid. Earnest Shelton of 'Bama had a fieldday against backup guard Darrel Mitchell, who was forced to play more minutes than usual due to Hudson's foul trouble.

The second half went a lot better for LSU, as they regained their shooting strokes and actually played some defense. Late in the game, down by 15, the Tigers made a strong push. Once within 2 points of 'Bama, the Tigers had to resort to fouling, and dropped their first conference game, 81-72 to Alabama.
