    NCAA Update

    Top Conference Outlooks

    Big 10

Considered a "watered-down" conference by many, the Big 10 is having a surprising year, and producing three quality teams.

    Deron Williams - 17.3 PPG, 4.6 APG, 3.5 RPG

    Michigan State Spartans 10-1
    Chris Hill - 15.9 PPG, 4.7 APG, 3.8 RPG

          Top Conference Outlooks

          Big 12
John Lucas III, Okahoma State Cowboys

Another strong conference, the Big 12 is very competitive from top to bottom. Although a few teams are leading the charge, the league is anybody's to win.

          Kansas Jayhawks 8-2
          Wayne Simien - 17.7 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 2.7 APG

          Iowa State Cyclones 10-2

          Oklahoma State Cowboys 8-3
John Lucas III - 18.4 PPG, 5.2 APG, 2.6 RPG

Fogelman Arena - New Orleans, Louisiana

The Golden Eagles started their conference schedule in the deep south, taking on the Tulane Green Wave.

During the first half, this game received a new nickname: The Travis Diener Show. Diener drained threes like nobody's business, and dished out numerous assists. Going into the half, the Eagles, led by Diener's 24 points, held a 25 point lead over Tulane.

The second half was much of the same, even though Marquette's bench players got most of the minutes. Diener came back for an encore of sorts, and again went off offensively. In the end, the Eagles were just too much, beating the Green Wave 82-66.
