Hopefully Bragg declines and signs with San Diego.
    Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
It's back breaks with every mile

      Week 1: VS Arizona Cardinals

Seahawks Muscle Out a Win Over Arizona in a Shootout, 45-35

      Week 1
      Seattle, WA

DonTrell Moore was the story of the week and game, as he achieved a rookie record by recording 247 yards rushing on 21 carries- the most by a rookie playing in his first game. "It was amazing," Coach Holmgren stated, "He barely looked like a rookie." However, the amazing feat did come against the Arizona Cardinals, so that doesn't say much. But credit is given where credit is due. "I'd like to thank the whole offensvie line," said Moore after the game, "They really made big holes for me to run through."

But that is not to take away from the rest of the offense. Matt Hasselbeck, in particular, was solid in his first game after nursing an injury sustained in week 8 of 2005. He completed 19-29 for 201 yards, en route to a 2 TD, 1 INT day. His favorite target, ironically, was Moore; who caught 6 passes for 56 yards.

Defensively, the Seahawks played great, even though the score says otherwise. Seattle managed to intercept Dan Orlovsky 6 times- all by 6 different players. But again, this was against the Cardinals.

Seattle did trail by 3 in the fourth quarter, but a 61 yard run by Moore changed that, and another 13 yard touchdown run sealed the deal.

Seattle is now 1-0 and will play the Atlanta Falcons for their first road game.

Except for the monster running yards whioch will hopefully be trimmed down, pretty cool. The 6 picks sounds fruity though.

                  Week 2
                  Atlanta, GA

                  GAME NOTES:

                  Injured: RB, Noah Herron(R) (OUT)
                  Key Players:

QB, Matt Hasselbeck- 201YDS, 2TD, 1INT Last Week
                  RB, Shaun Alexander- 1484YDS, 14TD in '05
LB, Niko Koutouvides- 3TCKL, 1SACK, 1INT Last Week
                  Seattle Secondary- 6INTs Last Week

Injured: QB, Kyle Orton (OUT-Career Ending)
                  Key Players:

QB, Michael Vick- 242YDS, 1TD, 37YDS Rushing Last Week

WR, Peerless Price- 8REC, 86YDS, 1TD Last Week
                  WR, David Boston- 5REC, 64YDS
LB, Keith Brooking- 16TCKL, 1SACK Last Week

Seattle plays the man himself, Mr. Michael Vick. They will have to work hard in containing their run game, especially with Domanick Davis, Warrick Dunn, and Cedric Benson in their backfield- not to mention Vick at quarterback.

Vick also has receivers to throw to in David Boston and Peerless Price. He can be dangerous on the run, and word out of Seattle, is that LB, Anthony Simmons will work the QB Spy. Hopefully, the Seattle Secondary can put up another defensive game, after their 6 interception performance against Arizona last week.

Expect this to be a shootout, with two high powered offenses going at it.

Week 2: AT Atlanta Falcons; Recap

Vick and Co. Too Much for the 'Hawks, Lose in a Shootout, 35-49

                          Week 2
                          Atlanta, GA

Quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck, would certainly like to put this game behind him. Hasselbeck had 4 turnovers in the first three quarters of the game against the Vick-led Falcons; 3 of them were interceptions, 1 a fumble, and Atlanta was able to score on all four of them, as they were all in Seahawk territory.

By the 4th quarter, Chris Leak entered the game. Leak threw for 127 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception on 9 for 13 throwing. "We just wanted him to get a feel for the game," said Coach Holmgren, "And with Matt (Hasselbeck) off on his game, I felt it was a good time for that. He did well, and Matt is still our starter."

Shaun Alexander rushed for just 8 times, but managed to gain 91 yards in his first game from an injury.

Defensively, Seattle failed... Horribly. Michael Vick led the Falcons with 149 passing yards on an 8 for 12 day, throwing a TD and an INT. He scored 3 TDs by way of rushing, on 9 carries for 74 yards. Domanick Davis led all rushers, with 119 yards and a TD.

Seattle falls to 1-1, with their next game in San Francisco against their divisional foes, the 49ers.

                          GAME NOTES

CB Ken Lucas is still holding out; his 2nd straight game.
Seattle is now ranked 32nd in points allowed.
K Josh Brown just missed a 54 fieldgoal, he is now 1 for 3.
LB Channing Crowder recorded his first career tackle on a kick return.
