    Week 12 Update

Eric Grant (HC) of the Idaho Vandals (SB)
    (4-6)(3-3) L 22-21 vs Indiana (5-5)
    335.3 OYDS (118) 21.9 PPG
    440.2 DYDS (110) 31 PAPG
Top Performer: Jake Luton (QB) 19-34 251 PaYds 2 TD 40 RuYds

Jake Luton led his team for two first half touchdowns to give the Vandals a first half two touchdown lead, as the Vandals defense shut down the Hoosiers through the first thrity minutes. Yet the Vandals would suffer a second half collapse, coupled with three field goals including a 49 yarder with a minute to go that put the Hoosiers ahead for good. It was a tough loss for this team to stomach, and it could've brought them to .500, their bowl hopes are alive but fading.

Corey Warby (HC) of the UAB Blazers (SB)
    (5-5)(3-4) BYE
    406.8 OYDS (58) 28.3 PPG

John Valkyrie (HC) of the UL-Monroe Warhawks (SB)

    419.8 OYDS (45) 30.6 PPG
    396.2 DYDS (68) 33.8 PAPG
Top Performer: D'Marius Gillespie (WR) 11 Rec 159 ReYds 2 TD

A consolation victory for a team that didn't have much to play for. At the very least it's a moral victory and if they could win out the last two conference games they would finish over .500 in Sunbelt play, which is a major point of motivation to round into next season with. Anthony Monken struggled at times with three interceptions and a sub 50% completion rate, that wouldn't matter though, thanks to a huge performance from his wide out D'Marius Gillespie, it bailed out a poor Anthony Monken showing to claim a victory.

George King shows his frustration after a late touchdown is turned into a score

        17 vs 38

Mountaineers roll past Aggies in strong second half

The Aggies offense hasn't had much success following the injuries to Damion Hobbs and Theo Peterson. The pair had led the teams offense to successful showings in their stints, but due to the run first nature of this offense the quarterback position has had quite a bit of injuries. Down to their final quarterback, the results have been less than flattering. Despite the offense shifting to try shorter reads, fast hits, developing routes, extra blockers, next to nothing has worked.

It's continued in this matchup, with five more turnovers for the Aggies, two interceptions and three lost fumbles which scarred this team into submission, despite every attempt at besting the opposition. The Aggies were unable to overcome their offensive inefficiencies. The overall ineptitude, including a sub-par passing performance and a non-existant ground game, the Aggies loss almost guarantees the division to the Mountaineers, who need the Horned Frogs to either lose once over the final two weeks or to win once more to claim the division in a season they've out performed all expectations.

The Aggies got an early field goal to put up an early lead, one that wouldn't hold as the second quarter rolled around as Skyler Howard moved into the second quarter. Howard passed a touchdown for a long touchdown pass to notch the lead, which was further extended by a short touchdown run on an option such that the Mountaineers held a decent lead moving into the half, but bringing the game closer was the Aggies who ran an improbable two minute drill to score a touchdown on a clean pass to Mitchell from a short score. An option run would be a two point conversion.

The Aggies would actually tie the game early in the third quarter when they knocked in a lengthy field goal on their first drive of the second half that knotted it at 14 a piece. The score wouldn't hold however, as the Mountaineers rattled off fourteen quick points on back to back scores. Skyler Howard launched a brilliant pass that caught Gibson in strive for a score. Two drives later, an ill-advised pitch would bounce off a guards back and be scooped up for a Mountaineer touchdown.

A field goal to open the fourth would be the last ditch attempt of the Aggies, who would make moves downfield, it wouldn't amount to much and despite getting inside the twenty-five, they would turn the ball over on fourth down. Thomas-Willams would take a run to the outside to break a huge score, a massive 75 yard run that put the game away for good, even with just two minutes remaining a faint opportunity existed for a two touchdown recovery, but the third touchdown to make it a 38-17 game ruined even the faintest hopes that a rally would be mounted.

The victory propelled the Mountaineers to an 8-2 record this season, and allowed them to move to #23 in the polls that followed this weeks action. The Mountaineers were projected a .500 season with an at best being 8-4, unless they lose out, they stand an unbelievable opportunity to win the division. The Aggies however fall to 3-7, and haven't won in the last month, Tyler Kozlov has been showing more and more frustration with this season, the offense needed more power, and it isn't working thus far.

          Week 12

The Top eleven remain unmoved while the bottom half of the polls had a lot of movement and shakers. Northwestern took a steep fall, while the top two teams barely avoided an upset to remain atop the polls.

The Virginia Tech Hokies were a 10 point favorite coming into this game, against the North Carolina Tarheels. The Tarheels were coming in on some momentum but they just didn't appear to have nearly enough talent to overcome the resurgence of the Virginia Tech Hokies, needless to say, the road was paved for a potential upset and the Tarheels did lead moving into the second half, albeit slim, a 10-17 lead would shrink away as the Hokies shut out the Tarheels in the final half to secure a victory, a late field goal securing the go ahead score.

The Florida Gators were 28 point favorites when they welcomed the Golden Eagles from Southern Miss to the Swamp, but at the same they appeared ready to overlook their opposition, thanks to a terrific late game run by their heisman favorite halfback, Brandon Powell, a 38 yard touchdown rush that cut the hopes of Golden Eagles down, nearly securing the biggest upset in school history.

The Ohio State Buckeyes started a tight contest against the Minnesota Golden Gophers but pulled away in the second half for a 17 point victory over their B1G opponent. The Buckeyes are sitting at #5 in the polls and appear to be on the outside looking in, but improving their resume and potentially adding a B1G championship could be enough to overcome the Aztecs undefeated record. There will be a lot more drama this season in regards to who makes the playoffs unless the final two weeks knock out some of that excitement and there are upsets to close out the year.

TCU dominated the Aggies on Saturday

            10 vs 31

TCU Dominates the Aggies but still loses chance at division

Texas Christian came into this game needing a West Virginia defeat to keep their chance at a Big 12 championship birth a year after a poor end sent them skidding quietly to the post season for a meaningless bowl game. The Horned Frogs were hoping to claim a shot at the divisional title. Yet, as the game wound to it's final frame, the stadium announced that the Mountaineers claimed victory over the Iowa State Cyclones in a game that they were favorites to win.

It was a somber Saturday for the visiting squad who dominated the home squad on senior night, the crowd leaving for the most part in the third quarter with the rout on and the offense continued to be as inept as it could possibly be. The Aggies didn't get a single first down in the fourth quarter, any faint hope of a rally was sealed with a hideous offensive performance.

George King would manage a touchdown pass midway through the third to Marcus Mosely on a short slant, the tight end reeling in the shaky pass to make it a 10-14 game and some hopes that a rally could occur, but the offensive immediately returned to it's incapabilities. Six of their 13 first downs came on their scoring drive. On an afternoon with just one turnover, an interception from George King, the offense just couldn't get many yards, while the Horned Frogs fell just a pair of yards shy of 500.

All Hopes were dashed on the drive after the Aggies first and only touchdown of the afternoon, when Foster Sawyer found his wideout Emmanuel Porter for his second touchdown pass on the afternoon. With ten more points coming in the final frame, with Foster Sawyer scoring on a touchdown rush, alongside a field goal early in the fourth quarter.

The Utah State Aggies fall to 3-8 on the season, and although they've bested their projections, a very disappointing conclusion to the season looms, as they battle the Iowa State Cyclones (4-7) as both teams are fighting merely for pride. Theo Peterson will return next week, which should provide some spark for this offense, but Tyler Kozlov still has complete irritation with the offensive ineptitude displayed by his squad this season, such that he hasn't been attending post game conferences for more than a few questions, and gave very bland answers. Tensions are definitely mounting on campus.

              Week 13 Recap

The Gators and Hokies remain atop the rankings, but below that there were quite a few shake ups with upsets and the ilk running somewhat rampancy upon the college football world. The Gators destroyed the Missouri Tigers on Saturday to claim a victory upon the 5-6 Tigers and nearly knock them out of bowl contention.

The Virginia Tech Hokies victory keeps them atop the ACC, but another ACC contender took a dive, the Clemson Tigers got locked into a shootout against the Boston College Eagles, and ended up on the wrong end of the shootout, a 52-59 defeat shot the Tigers down the rankings, a victory likely could've moved them either into the fringe of the playoff discussion or potentially into the top four.

The Oklahoma Sooners stunned the Kansas State Wildcats with a victory over the opposition and it wasn't close either. The Sooners dropped a 10 point victory on the opposition and led throughout over the undefeated Kansas State Wildcats. The Wildcats came in soaring, but were brought back to a harsh reality when the Sooners jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and wouldn't ever fall behind, leading the opposition throughout.

The LSU Tigers for the second consecutive year, the LSU Tigers came in doing some work upon their opposition, not nearly as good as the past year, but none the less, they took on the Auburn Tigers and fell to them yet again, this loss sent them down from the top ten to nearly out of the entire polls.

Matt Linehan returned to helm the Idaho Vandals whom are on a rare winstreak and continued to improve, with a victory over the Mountain West newcomers in Tulsa. The Oklahoma program came in as favorites, but with their star quarterback returning and Tyrone Kelly patrolling the defense, it was far too much for the opposition to handle. The Vandals got a boost from Dan Ungerer's 9 reception 180 yard performance as well. The Vandals unit came together for a huge victory that has them on the verge of a bowl birth in Eric Grant's first season. The Vandals have a tall order, (7-4) Fresno State next week.

Corey Warby (HC) of the UAB Blazers (SB)
                (6-5)(4-4) W 55-24 @ UTEP Miners (4-8)

                Top Performer:Jeremiah Briscoe (18-23) 269 PaYds 3 TD 1 INT

Jeremiah Briscoe actually got to take a seat on the afternoon, the Blazers earned bowl eligibility with a brutal victory over their opposition in the UTEP Miners. The Miners end their season that was already poorly running, they couldn't stop the 4th ranked pass attack in the country and while they did what they could to slow it down, a blend of ground attacks spelled victory for the predominately aerial attack offense.

John Valkyrie (HC) of the UL-Monroe Warhawks (SB)
                (3-8)(3-5) L 27-48 vs Texas State (7-4)
                415.7 OYDS (48) 30.3 PPG
                407.1 DYDS (77) 35.1 PAPG
Top Performer: Anthony Monken (QB) 21-31 255 PaYds 2 TD 1 INT 5 RuYds

A 20-27 deficit heading into the final frame exploded into the 48-27 rout that the game ended as. What went so wrong? The defense just tired out, the aerial attack continued to attack, pressing the force against the opposition and maintained their advantage. It led to three touchdowns inside of five minutes of the fourth quarter to open the quarter, thanks to big plays across the board, the Bobcats remained atop the Sunbelt with just one loss in conference play, the Warhawks fall for the eighth time this season.

Quinn Retney (HC) of the UMass Minutemen (AMER)
                (3-8)(2-5) L 7-26 vs Cincinnati Bearcats (3-8)
                308.5 OYDS (125) 18.9 PPG
                413.4 DYDS (96) 30.8 PAPG
Top Performer: Derek Goode (FB) 24 Car 95 RuYds 1 TD

It was an odd day for the Minutemen, as they battled an extremely deficient Bearcat squad that had been ravaged by the injury bug throughout the season. Despite this, the Bearcats managed to claim victory, on an afternoon where Derek Goode piled up 95 rushing yards and a touchdown to lead the team, Rufus Fagan had just six carries, and this offense had a rather peculiar outing. Ball control is a staple of the Minutemen offense, but it wouldn't exist for them. The Minutemen were unable to score until late in the fourth, already on the wrong end of a 26-0 deficit.

Woo! Coach Warby is bowl eligible in the first year! Is Briscoe a senior? And if so, who is his back up? Will there be a steep drop off in the aerial assault next year you think?

Rough first year for your Aggies. Hopefully you can get some momentum created in your last game that will carryover into the next year.

Briscoe is a senior, as is his backup Austin Chipoletti. The third stringer is a RS-JR, Evan Orth. Briscoe at the moment is (82 THP 81 THA 81 AWR), while Orth is (78 THP 82 THA 76 AWR). The jump isn't overly dramatic, but the biggest drop is your wideout corp. You are losing 4 of your top 5, and the drop off is steep, Collin Lisa (88 OVR), Quincy Perdue (83 OVR), Josh Magee (78 OVR) and Anthony Vickers (77 OVR). Your best returning wideout is William Wilson (RS-SO) 78 OVR, followed by Ben Holly (RS-JR) 73 OVR and Bryce Shultz (RS-SO) 68 OVR. Jointly your recruiting isn't looking too good on the offensive end, you are getting a pair of quarterbacks sub 70 OVR, one balanced (69 OVR) and one Pocket Passer (66 OVR). Your wideouts are 64 and 60 OVR. You have a decent JUCO ILB coming in.

Across the board you will be losing 7 offensive starters (your TE and best 2 lineman C and RT). On defense you'll be losing just 4 starters (ILB, OLB, SS and DE). The linebacker corp loses will hurt a bit, but with your present recruiting class and talent at the other outside backer, it won't kill you, the offense is getting hit pretty hard though.

I'd likely try to move on if I were in Coach Warby's shoes (if there is a better option available), it'll definitely be a hit in talent next year. UAB is projected at 112 next season, they are 44 this season.

                      On a side,

yeah it's been really rough for the Aggies, the injuries haven't helped either. George King is spectacularly bad, and while Theo Peterson isn't anything special he at least has the dual threat element which opens the option attack. If we had Hobbs we likely would've eked out another win or two this season potentially!

The Idaho Vandals had a pivotal matchup in the final game of the season, the Vandals were looking for a postseason birth in Eric Grant's first season with the program, yet it wasn't meant to be. Fresno State has been consistently towards the top of the Mountain West and that isn't changing with this Saturday's game, where the 8-4 Fresno State Bulldogs decimated a Vandals squad that just looked disinterested. Allowing over 600 yards of offense while gaining just 205 on their own end is a big factor in the defeat.

Corey Warby (HC) of the UAB Blazers (SB)
                        (7-5)(5-4) W 38-22 vs Southern Miss (5-7)
Stats will be in bowl preview
Top Performer: Jeremiah Briscoe (QB) (24-37) 424 PaYds 5 TD 42 RuYds

What a way to cap off the season with a fantastic victory that secures a bowl birth for the Blazers in coach Corey Warby's first season at the program. It could mean a move up the ranks just a year in if he plays the waters correctly. Coach Warby turned this team around dramatically in a single season and they are poised for another run at the Sunbelt next season! Jeremiah Briscoe continues to dominate the opposition with top notch play that has been a staple of the program thus far under Coach Warby, his four hundred passing yards led the Blazers to an easy victory over the Eagles in this rivalry matchup.

John Valkyrie (HC) of the UL-Monroe Warhawks (SB)
                        (4-8)(3-4) W 34-31 @ UL-Lafayette (5-7)

Top Performer: Anthony Monken (QB) 24-39 374 PaYds 3 TD 113 RuYds 1 TD

Staving off your rivals furious rally in the final minutes of a tight matchup that made sure their rivals were locked out of a potential bowl game in the process. The Warhawks didn't get much to look forward to in this final contest of a lackluster season. The Warhawks fought and staved off 17 unanswered points to knot in a late field goal that made sure that there had been enough points on the scoreboard to keep themselves in the winners circle. The victory led by Anthony Monken under center saw the quarterback will his squad past the Ragin Cajuns, stunning their opposition and ruining their rivals season in the process.

                        (4-8)(2-4) W 38-28 vs Connecticut Huskies (8-4)
Stats will be posted in season wrapup
Top Performer: Derek Goode 37 Carries 229 RuYds 3 TD 4 Rec 21 ReYds 1 TD

The Minutemen didn't expect this one, or at least the media didn't. Stuck with their third halfback or rather their starting fullback getting the bulk of the carries, the Minutemen were on their last legs it seemed, and the Huskies seemed to be disinterested in their opposition, and that led to a stunning victory by the Minutemen, which gets a second marquee win against a team at the top of the conference, this squad looked impressive and while their season ends, a four game improvement this season opens the door for a greater good next year.

Cyclones cap off rally with touchdown return on a fumble to claim victory over Aggies

                            39 vs 42

Iowa State scores 42 second half points to ruin Aggies season finale

The Aggies were rolling, the crowd was alive and the team was moving. A 17-0 leap out of the gates had fans and faithful predicting a comfortable win against an Iowa State squad that just didn't seem invested in closing out their season after being knocked from post season contention following last weeks defeat. The Aggies took full advantage with Theo Peterson back in the fold and scored a touchdown on the opening drive. Theo Peterson lofted a beautiful pass to Gipson who was wide open on the fly, going for an easy touchdown, the first of two touchdowns for the wideout on the afternoon.

Darius Lee-Campbell had a first half to forget, the Iowa State signal called had just 12 passing yards and 3 rushing yards with a pair of interceptions in the first half alone, along with a pair of sacks. The quarterback had been beaten and bruised throughout the first half, the Aggies taking out their anger of a season of frustration upon their opponent. His first interception went to Rocquemore, who reeled in the interception and outran the competition to the endzone, having to break a would-be tackle to raise the score to 14, a late field goal in the second quarter sent it to 17-0 in favor of the Aggies.

Something had to of happened in the locker room for the Cyclones, while the Aggies seemingly grew complacent with a rare first half multi-touchdown lead, the Aggies were going to get a lesson on how quickly a three score lead could be chipped away at.

The opening drive of the third quarter belonged to the Cyclones who moved the ball with ease, Darius was more confident, completing 4-6 for 43 yards, while the ground attack started to flourish, Lee-Campbell connected with Thornton on a pass over the middle, the wideout completely alone in the end zone, he caught the pass with ease, giving the Cyclones some life.

The momentum would be sucked from the Aggies immediately, on third and short, the Aggies would run a playaction screen, and the pass would be short, into the waiting hands of Syrie, who ran untouched the short twenty yard dash to the end zone, and in just a span of 30 seconds, an entire half of dominance was wiped away. It's exactly why all sixty minutes are played.

Another interception thrown by Theo Peterson would set up yet another Iowa State scoring drive, this time it was the ground attack with a favorable mixture of read options and outside rushes, the Cyclones moved the ball downfield, on second and short, it was Darius Lee-Campbell darting to the outside on a read option and following his blockers, getting tripped up just barely but the ball well past the plane of the end zone for the score. The Cyclones took their first lead. For the first time since almost six minutes left in the first, the Aggies weren't ahead.

The twenty one unanswered points in the third would prove to be too much to overcome, the Aggies would try and do so admirably. The Aggies would manage a long drive to churn out the yardage, ending on a rush up the middle from Lajuan Hunt. The senior halfback weaved through his blockers and carried a tackler into the end zone for the score and the Aggies were back in the lead.. which wouldn't last for a minute.

The Cyclones got a big break on a long rush getting them downfield rapidly, one play took them from their own twenty to the opposition thirty, and just three plays later, Darius was connecting with his wideout for a short eight yard touchdown on a slant, and a 24-28 lead.

Once more the Aggies worked at chipping away at the Cyclone defense, and once more Theo Peterson got the best of the opposition, this time on a third and ten, he lobbed a beautiful pass over the top of the safety to connect with Gipson for a second time and yet another easy touchdown, a 31-28 lead. The ball went back to the Cyclones with the fireworks lighting up the fading skyline. The offenses were going at it.

Until there was a sputter from the Cyclones. The Cyclones weren't able to get the ball moving quickly, churning out two first downs on six plays, inevitably burning more and more of the clock as the home faithful moved to the edge of their seats in hopes of a home victory, a rare sight to say the least. Inside of two minutes, the Cyclones managed to pass into Aggie territory, and get stopped, on fourth down, a miscommunication led to John Wright getting wide open. The second year freshman hauled in the pass for the score, celebrating in the endzone what seemed to be certain victory.

It would just get better for the Cyclones, on the next drive Theo Peterson would roll out and see pressure, trying to throw the ball out of bounds, he would be drilled before he could make a throwing motion and the ball wobbled to the ground, where it would be scooped up by Robby Garcia, the big defensive tackle wouldn't be contested, going all the way to the end zone untouched. The score now 42-31 in favor of the Cyclones with just fifty seconds to go.

A good kick return set the Aggies up, but the offense just couldn't muster big plays, needing to take the methodical approach, they would ultimately score, after a third attempt on the goal line. Marcus Mosely caught the rocket from Theo Peterson to get the score, the read option keeper by Theo Peterson would be the two points added on top, making it a three point game.

The onside kick and a bomb would be the final hope, but the onside kick bounced and was fielded cleanly by the Cyclones, who despite still having two timeouts, the Aggies conceded the defeat to their opposition, with just three seconds to go, it was pointless otherwise.

"We didn't finish. It's been a long road, and we are banged up. It isn't an acceptable excuse, and we have a lot of work to do this offseason, I'm willing to say that no one's position is safe, we are coming back and going to a bowl game next season, I refuse to accept being the Big 12's punching bag. We have a major talent influx coming in, the least we can do is fight. This season is now behind us, and it was a forgettable one sadly. We had opportunities to salvage the season but nothing never came of them and we lost. Next year we are fighting and scrapping for every inch and yard. We won't be in the same situation when that final whistle sounds next season."

                              Week 14 Recap

The Conference Championship scene is set and there wasn't much drama in rivalry week. Rivalry week came and went without much answers, but there definitely will be some coming up, with the SEC Championship, Mountain West Championship and ACC Championship all being at the forefront, the Big 12 is just behind those.

#1 Florida takes on #6 Alabama, and this virtually guarantees that there will be a SEC team in the playoff. Tennessee is hoping that Florida takes this one, because the more chaos means more moving pieces and the Volunteers could be passed by a Power 5 conference champion, hoping Alabama doesn't cause chaos is the best hope. The Sooners beating West Virginia could slide the Volunteers out, it's not likely that the Sooners would be kept out versus a team that didn't win it's division nor conference. Needless to say, things can get really interesting come playoff time if there's some upsets in conference championship week!

                              Projected Playoff Bracket

                              (1) Florida Gators vs (4) San Diego State Aztecs
                              (2) Virginia Tech Hokies vs (3) Oklahoma Sooners

                              On the bubble:
                              Tennessee; Ohio State; USC; Alabama

                              Out:
                              Kansas State; Georgia; Stanford

                                Conference Championships

                                ACC:
                                27 vs 20
                                POTG: Deshaun Watson (QB-CLEM) 24-36 316 PaYds 1 TD 48 RuYds
Down goes Virginia Tech for the first time this season. The Hokies had already beaten the Tigers before this season, but Clemson got the best of them in the rematch, effectively knocking the Hokies from playoff contention in a smooth blow, a testament ot Deshaun Watson and his tremendous play. To make matters worse? The Tigers were down 10-17 before rallying to score the last 17 including the game winning touchdown in the final seconds of the game, a hand off up the middle to Wayne Gallman would slice through the heart of the Hokies defensive front and slice their playoff dreams in half at the same time.

                                AMERICAN:
                                42 vs 35
                                POTG: John Wolford (QB-WF) 13-21 176 PaYds 3 TD 62 RuYds 1 TD
Their first season in the American Conference saw them claim a conference title. While the demotion may have heart the teams spirits prior to the season, they rehuddled and came back stronger than ever. This team was cohesive and was pushing to be a midmajor presence in a New Years bowl or potentially stun all by being this year's BYU, an upset would tumble them out of the polls until the final weeks. With their shootout victory over the 7-6 Tigers, they've earned a right to their conference championship, and senior quarterback John Wolford would love to cap off a strong campaign with a bowl trophy to go alongside his conference title.

                                B1G:
                                33 vs 35
                                POTG: Taiwan Deal (HB-WISC) 109 RuYds 3 TD 1 Rec 19 ReYds
Deal put an excalimation mark on the final game of his junior campaign and his run for the heisman got a lot more credibility with the huge performance he put up against the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes were favored in this one, by a touchdown but ended up unable to blow past Taiwan Deal and his Badgers. The Badger halfback had back to back touchdowns at the end of the third and early in the fourth to break open the game, a late Ohio State touchdown would breath life into the Buckeyes, but oddly enough the Buckeyes lost due to their poor passing attack, they rushed for 257 yards as a team outgaining the victorious Badgers in that regard, but Collier tossed just 141 yards in a poor performance.

                                B12:
                                31 vs 24
                                POTG: Skyler Howard (QB-WVU) 17-26 289 PaYds 1 TD 1 INT 63 RuYds 2 TD
The heisman campaign of Donte Thomas-Willams has been a key focus point on the fixation with the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Mountaineers however saw a tremendous performance from their lesser regarded quarterback, who piled up the yardage upon the Sooners, sending the second piece tumbling, causing more of a mess at the top. Donte Thomas-Williams had a strong game in his own right, rushing for 180 yards and a touchdown, this Mountaineer offensive attack was simply too much. The Mountaineers might've only won by 7 but nearly douled the Sooners yardage, only held back by their two turnovers to just one created.

                                CONFERENCE USA:
                                28 vs 24
POTG: Cameron White (ILB-ECU) 5 Tackles 4 For loss 1 Sack 1 INT 1 FR
In a conference where neither team was supposed to finish above .500 or just barely above .500, these teams didn't just exceed expectations, they blew them out of the water. On top of these teams not supposed to be here, the Conference USA wasn't expected to have two ranked teams going head to head in the conference championship which added much more value to college football than many expected. Cameron White had a tremendous performance, the senior inside linebacker had two turnovers, nearly scoring on both, bringing a fumble back fifty plus yards and an interception twenty before being tripped up, not only that, he would add a sack to make the Hilltoppers day even harder. Thanks to that tremendous defensive performance, they came out victorious.
