I'll have to check it out. I think your guy is high on tradition though, which is why he likes Army. We have a D- so our chances are low
Well, about that... haha, I actually turned it off in season one because of all the changes I was doing with the names and numbers, it may be only two-three seconds but I hate that delay. Now its come back to haunt me. I really liked that game because it orchestrated with a lot of storylines I planned on bringing up later on down the line, so hopefully I can get a similar results.Last edited by beast10; 02-14-2016, 08:32 PM.Comment

North Florida Loses Homecoming Showing, 23-7
Sept. 20, 2016
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Quarterback Asiantii Woulard both passed and ran in for a touchdown as South Florida defeated North Florida 23-7 in a match dubbed as the “Region War” of Florida Saturday at EverBank Field.
USF (1-2) snapped a two game losing streak, while UNF (0-3) loss their third straight with today’s game being their debut at the helm of their homecoming crowd of 20,000.
For the third straight week, the ground attack was ineffective as UNF racked up just 13 rushing yards after last week’s NCAA season low of 5 against Florida State. The Ospreys would ride the late arm of Poinsette that didn’t turn effective until the quarterback put together a series during the fourth quarter where he went 3-of-3 for 70 yards before taking in an option keeper for UNF’s lone score of the day, his first collegiate touchdown.
Overall, Poinsette would amount for 201 of the team’s 214 yards of total offense, both numbers being season/career highs.
“It’s definitely frustrating,” said UNF head coach Brian Jenkins. “Week by week, since fall, we’ve emphasized the run and it’s still not coming together for us. We remain confident, giving (Bowers) calls, but we’re stopped almost every time. We have to improve.”
Bowers took a beating from the Bulls, leaving the game on two separate occasions with nagging shoulder injuries. This was perceived cautiously to UNF who lost fellow freshman halfback Myles Flanagan just two weeks back in their season debut. On 16 carries, Bowers gave in only 22 yards for an average of 1.3 yard per carry. Caleb Poinsette, who was sacked four times, drastically dropped the total yardage with as he accounted for -15 yards on the day.
“We have to look at each game as learning experience,” said Poinsette. “It’s still early in this season and we’re playing tough teams. We need to get the pieces together and soon I believe the wins will come.”
Despite allowing 460 yards of total offense, the UNF defense continued to show good signs within their pass rush. Senior defensive tackle Elliot Horne led a unit that came away with five sacks as Horne brought down Woulard three times, setting a school record that will likely stand for years to come.
Middle linebacker and defensive captain Jarrett Gaines came away with a stripped forced fumble on Woulard that was, however, recovered by the offense late in the second quarter, leading to a field goal.
When he wasn’t faced against the pesky defense, Asiantii Woulard orchestrated long drives that either ended with a score or a stop on third down. The quarterback threw 22-of-34 for 277 yards with a touchdown and an additional score to go alongside 70 yards on the ground. Receiver Tyre McCants was Woulard’s main beneficiary, hauling in five receptions for 108 receiving yards while halfback Marlon Mack added 86 rushing yards.
“That was a good game played out there,” said UNF head coach Willie Taggart. “Brian's (Jenkins) boys came out and really played well. This is a match I could see being played out on the yearly basis.”
UNF returns to the road for an 8 p.m. kickoff at Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Tough loss, specially with it being homecoming. There's definite signs of improvement there though. I think once you figure out your ground game you should pick up a couple winsCheck out my dynasty thread:

Re: UNF Ospreys Football: The Newest Addition to the Sunshine State
Yeah that loss actually felt worst than the first, even though we lost 41-14. The ground game is so bad, so so bad. Bowers picking up 4 yards on a carry is the rarest of things. I don't really see an issue with that, however, considering he's a 64 ovr starter but if we can't get improvment from him we will turn into an one deminsieonal passing team, but not even that because poinsette is inconsistentComment

UNF Loses Heartbreaker at Louisiana Tech, 42-41
Sept. 27, 2016
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — North Florida is only four games into their program’s inaugural season, but Saturday’s 42-41 loss to Louisiana Tech may go down as the biggest heartbreaker the team will ever behold.
In crunch time with the final minute etching away, UNF had one task; simply keep the clock moving as neither team had any timeouts remaining. Antoine Bowers followed suit, taking an outside handoff that was not only blown up by the defense, but stripped away as the freshman halfback fumbled the ball that was recovered by LTU linebacker Brandon Durman who ran it back 70 yards in what would prove to be the game-winning touchdown.
“I stressed not to let this one get away from us at the half,” said Brian Jenkins, UNF head coach. “(I) told my men to keep playing hard and not to let up or this was exactly what would end up happening.”
Jenkins’ Ospreys led at halftime 20-7, nearly 20-0 had the coverage not been blown on a last second 64-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Higgins to Trent Taylor. UNF had massively outnumbered the Bulldogs across the board, hosting a demoralizing attack that gave them what appeared to be a clear-cut path to the program’s first ever victory.
LTU suffered early mostly from the loss of star halfback Jarred Craft who left the game in the second quarter, leaving a patch in the Bulldog offense that was forced to alter its game plan through the first half. Ryan Higgins, who finished 22-of-29 for 253 yards, proved to be the difference maker in Craft’s absence as the quarterback shined in the second half, tossing a pair of touchdowns while running in a 4-yard score after starting the third period with an interception that was taken to the 1-yard line by Keenan Lever.
“They were putting up points but so were we, we felt like we had a cushion on defense,” said Jarrett Gaines, UNF linebacker. “We didn’t play all sixty minutes, and as a team captain I take full responsibility for that.”
In the fourth quarter, Louisiana Tech would post two consecutive touchdowns within two minutes, reducing the scoring deficit to a one possession game at 41-35. The two team’s would trade vitally failed drives; UNF first dropping a third down conversion pass while LTU’s ensuing drive resulted in a turnover on downs, what many considered to be the game-clincher for the Ospreys. At their opponent’s 30 yard line, the UNF offense committed its lone turnover of the day as the fumble-six return gave LTU the go-ahead score with 1:14 remaining.
With no timeouts remaining, UNF depended on long heaves to carry the ball up the field. The scheme would have brief success as tight end Aaron Dodds caught a 22-yarder, but soon the UNF offense was met with a fourth down situation in which the ball was turned over on downs with 20 seconds remaining as Poinsette’s pass was deflected by Bulldog cornerback Bryson Abraham.
“It’s frustrating, this was our game to win,” said Poinsette.
UNF’s offense profited off a coming out party within their ground game that entered Saturday’s showing as the nation’s worst unit. On 50 attempts, the Ospreys recorded 209 yards rushing behind Antonie Bowers’ 75 and Henry McNamara who collected 79 yards and two touchdowns as Bowers rested after suffering a minor abdominal strain while the game was seemingly in the books.
In the air, Caleb Poinsette was just as much of a threat as the freshman quarterback tossed three touchdowns while going 25-of-38 for 231 yards, another career high performance. The Ospreys would more than double their offensive yard total from 214 last week against USF to 441 today.
“That was a good effort from UNF, especially as a first-year program,” said LTU head coach Skip Holtz. “I wish nothing but the best for them, they’ll be a very good school in the next couple of years.”
UNF will play at No. 6 ranked Clemson next week for an 8 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 4.

Heartbreaker of a loss. It's great the score lines are closer and closer, but that's a tough one to swallow. It's always stressful when you can't just kneel it to run it out.
Tough break, don't let it define the season!Comment

Re: UNF Ospreys Football: The Newest Addition to the Sunshine State
It's kinda my fault for the playcall though, I shouldn't have ran an outside handoff... Bowers was put into the open field for no reason. But yeah, tough tough loss. Hopefully we can use it as motivation. After Clemson next week our schedule really softens outside of Ole Miss and ArkansasComment

Jerod Hearn Named Independents Players of the Week
Oct. 28, 2016
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The FBS Independents named Jerod Hearn its Player of the Week Monday morning, recognizing the senior linebacker's courageous effort put forth in the dogfight with Louisiana Tech.
Hearn racked up nine tackles, four for a loss, while collecting his first three sacks at the FBS level, tying a school record set by Elliot Horne just last week. The 6-foot, 216 pound outside linebacker tacked on playing time at both his normal position and defensive tackle where he was needed to fill the void of injured starter Lamar Billings. Prior to the LTU game, Hearn had only six tackles on the year.
The fifth-year senior from West Palm Beach, Fla., will go down as the first player in school history to be named POTY. Hearn originally arrived at UNF last year after transferring from Bethune-Cookman, following Coach Jenkins who at the time announced he would be filling the vacant head coaching position.
The Ospreys (0-4) return to the field Saturday evening where they will be in South Carolina to face off against the No. 6 ranked Clemson Tigers (2-1).Comment
