Week 4
Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams
The Seattle defense didn’t show up early as they got scorched down the right sideline by Gilyard taking one for 76 yards with a minute left in the 1st. Trent Edwards retaliated with a pass of his own to McDonald. It was McDonald that did all the work as the pass should have only got for 12 yards on a out route. He broke a tackle and streaked down the sideline for a highlight reel 90 yard touchdown.
Justin Fargas punched it in from 1 yard out. Olindo Mare added on 3 more field goals in the final quarter to seal the deal for their third win of the season.
Trent Edwards threw more interception that touchdowns in the game. Both times in the red zone, slowing the Rams to stay within striking distance. Edwards threw for almost 500 yards but showed ugly moments doing it.
Next week is a BYE, and week 6 they take on the CHicago Bears.

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Pete Carroll spoke to the media after the game Edwards has played well, but we’ll work limiting he turnovers...especially in the red zone. We’ve got the vaunted Bears defense in Chicago after our bye week. That will give a couple of our guys an extra week to heal up. Steve Smith suffered an injury and so did Nick Reed.
We’ll put in our work at practice before we head towards Chicago.
Injuries of note:
Steve Smith, foot stress fracture, probable
Nick Reed, hip pointer, 1 weekComment

Week 6
Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears
This game was a close one. Olindo Mare got the scoring started with a field goal, but Chicago’s pro bowl talent Matt Forte gashed his way up the middle for a 62 yard score breaking multiple tackles along the way.
The second quarter saw the Seahawks turn up the pressure. The kickoff after the score was fumbled by Knox of Chicago and recovers by Seattle’s Patrick Chung. Marshawn Lynch got a 3 yard run. After a couple punts Marshawn Lynch took a 9 yard wheel route pass to the house unscathed. Olindo added a 45 yard field goal towards the end of he half. Seattle was ahead 20-7 at halftime.
Trent Edwards couldn’t limit his interception tendencies as he threw 3 interceptions in the second half; one to Nick Roach, one to Josh Bullocks and the third to Corey Graham. One killed a drive in the red zone...AGAIN.
The score wasn’t the highlight of the night. On a third down play, Brian Urlacher tried to make a tackle and tore his Achilles tendon. He is out for the season, and it will be interesting if he returns next season or closes this chapter on his career. He will no doubt be a first ballot hall of fame when his time comes.
The Bears added a late score to pull within 6, but the Seahawks ices the game as Zach Miller caught a pass for a 1st to allow them to kneel put the clock.
Coach Pete Carrol was visibly frustrated after the game, These turnovers are killing us right now. We got lucky, our defense stepped up and forced a key turnover of their own.

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Week 7
Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders
Trent Edwards started off by throwing an interception, but luckily the defense held Oakland at bay and forced a punt. Then they came back as Marshawn Lynch scores from 2 yards out to put the first points on the board. Janikowski got the Raiders on the board toward the end of the first with a booming 52 yard field goal.
The second quarter opened with both defenses being stingy. It was the interception by Patrick Chung towards the midway point that turned things around. Trent Edwards redeemed himself by finding Zach Miller on the first play from 8 yards out to increase the lead. Mare added a chip shot from 32 to increase the lead to 17-3.
Then Edward’s inability to keep the ball led to trouble. They marched down the field and were within striking distance when Oakland brought a blitz. He didn’t see Tyvonne Branch on the flat who proceeded to jump the route and return the ball 88 yards for the untouched pick-six.
Olindo Mare added a field goal before halftime to give the Hawks a two score lead of 20-10.
After halftime both defenses were ready as neither team could advance the ball. Mitch Berger punned Oakland deep in their territory midway through, and Lawrence Jackson and Chris Draft made them pay. Lawrence strip sacked Campbell and Draft landed on it in the end zone to push the lead to 27-10. Both teams tacked on field goals, as the game ended in a 30-13 Seahawks victory.
A sideline reporter asked Nick Reed about his stellar game, “I seemed to be in the zone. I managed to be in the right spot at the right time. It was a team effort”.

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Week 9
New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
Before the game Pete Carroll was asked about the upcoming game.
I’ve got a lot of respect for Coughlin and the squad he’s got there. Eli Manning doesn’t turn the ball over, so it should be a real test of our defense and how well they’ve played over the past several weeks.
The game started out with a field goal by Giants’ kicker Tynes from 37 yards. Seattle has to take a few drives to get into the flow, but Trent Edwards connected with Justin Fargas from 25 yards to take the lead 7-3.
The second quarter is when things took a bizarre turn. Edwards targeted Zach Miller over the middle, where safety Deon Grabtcwas waiting and intercepted the ball. During the return Zach Miller refused to give up and managed to punch the ball out of his hands, where the Seahawks recovered it. Seattle managed to not squander the second chance and kick a field goal to extend the lead to 10-3.
Tuned added another field goal half way through and clutch Eli Manning three an 18 strike to Kevin Boss to score just before half time. The Giants headed into the locker room with a 13-10 lead.
The third quarter was all about defense, of both teams. They clamped down and nobody scored or even got within field goal range.
The fourth quarter is one for the ages. After Seattle had back-to-back holding penalties to bring up a nearly impossible 3rd & 30, Justin Fargas took a little screen pass from Trent Edwards in the left flat. With the help of great blocking and causing three Giants’ players to miss tackles he tumbled in for an amazing 43 yard touchdown.
Eli responded on his next possession to Travis Beckum to once again put the Giants on top by a score of 20-17. The strong kicking game of Seattle helped put by pinning the Giants on the 1 yard line. On he next play Mebane rushes in and tackled Ahmad Bradshaw for a safety, bringing the Hawks within a point, with 6:54 left in the game.
The Seahawks weren’t able to capitalize on the free possession and had to put. The defense of the stingy Hawks stepped up and forced 3 & out on multiple possessions, but the Giants’ punter pinned them on the one yard line twice.
They managed to not take a penalty or give up a safety each time. On the second time stuck on the one, the Hawks scrapped and went 80 yards, but had to settle for a go ahead field goal with 1:42 left in the game.
When asked after the game about his catch near the end zone Zach Miller responded, “I lunged for the end zone but the defender made a solid tackle to stop my momentum. It’s a tough one that’s for sure”.
Eli Manning is no stranger to 4th quarter comeback. With two time out they went down the field. The Hawks defense gave up some yard, but nothing too unreasonable. They left the Giants’ kicker with a long 55 yard field goal. After icing the kicker, Tynes split the uprights to send the Hawks home the losers in one the the franchises make st heart breaking loses to date.
After the game Pete has this to say,
“I’m proud of each and every guy you gave their all out there. A 55-yarder is a tough way to lose, but we never gave up. We will be ready to go next week when we travel to Arizona”.

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
We’ve reached the halfway point and there are lots of surprises around the league.
The Seahawks are leading their division with a 6-2 record. The Rams are in second with a 4-5 record through their 9 games.
The Bills, Jets, and Dolphins are all tied at 4-5 with the usually strong tram of the Patriots with a lowly 2-6 record.
The Hawks hold a slim lead on the 2nd playoff spot in the NFC and trail Dallas by 1 game for the spot of ‘top dog’, but seeds 3/8 are all within a game of the Seahawks so there is clearly no room for error.
The NFC MVP race is being led by Drew Brees, the OPOY is led by Steven Jackson, while the DPOY is led by Angelo Crowell a ROLB for he Bucs.
Seattle’s Rob Gronkowski is in bird for the NFC OFOY honors, and the biggest shock is Trent Edwards is only behind Drew Bree’s for the Best QB trophy.
There is still lots of football to play to see how the standing will shake out and settle around the league. Can the unthinkable Seahawks continue to soar? Will the AFC East crown a new division champion not named New England? Can Trent Edwards surpass Drew Brees as best NFC QB of the year?Last edited by Chyli; 02-06-2020, 11:23 AM.Comment

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Week 10
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals received the opening kickoff and their drive stalled out. The punter pinned the Hawks on their own 1 yard line...a common theme in previous weeks.
The Seahawks Miller caught a pass to give them some breathing room at the 17 yard line. Marshawn Lynch then took over and make a nice couple of 5 and 6 yard runs. Trent Edwards continued his precise passing by hooking up with Miller and Gronkowski for nice gains. He capes off the drive with a 3 yard pass to Gronkowski in a curl route to take a 7-0 lead, and deflate the Cardinals after such a great punt.
The Cardinals offense was handcuffed all game by the more physical Seahawks defense. Lynch added a yard yard score part way through the 2nd and Mare added a field goal before the grow the commanding lead to 17-0.
The first points scored by Arizona weren’t even caused by them. After Seattle go the call back, Toledo was called for a holding penalty to push them back to their own 10 yard line. Edwards made an audible at he next llay because he saw a blitz coming. He threw it out in the flat, but the receiver Lynch could hold on to it, the referees called it a fumble due to backwards pass and it was then kicked out of the end zone for a safety.
The Seahawks didn’tlet this small blunder discourage them as they continued to shut down the Arizona offense. The Hawks added a pair of field goals to make up for the blunder and were up 23-2 with 5 minutes to go in the game. The defense of the Hawks were lax and slowed Leinart to throw a short pass to the right sideline for Fitzgerald who hem made a few guys miss and take it all the way for a 62 yard score. Lynch took it in from 7 yards out to make amends for that however.
Seahawks soared high in their victory over the Cardinals and won with a final score of 30-9. Trend Edwards has his best game of the season by going 16/19 for 216 yards and a single TD pass to Gronkowski. He didn’t turn the ball over one and coach Carrol game him the game ball afterwards to show his admiration for it.
Next up, is a clash on Bourbon Street and the high powered offense of the New Oreleans Saints led by the dynamic Brees and Bush.
Final score, Seattle 30 Arizona 9Last edited by Chyli; 02-06-2020, 12:51 PM.Comment

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Week 11
Seattle Seahawks at New Orleans Saints
This is not the game that everyone was expecting...not the Saints’ fans, nor the Seahawks’ fans were expecting the the type of game they witnessed.
The first play of the Saints game, was a precursor for how things would go. Reggie Bush ran for 6 yards, but Eric Weddle who grew up watching Ronnie Lott lay people out delivered a bone crushing hit to Bush and caused a fumble when he recovered.
The Seahawks committed a holding penalty right away, but the next play the Saints overcommitted to thinking pass play given it was 2nd and 20, and Lynch gashed then for 15 yards. Gronkowski got them a first down and Miler grabbed the high thrown ball for 8 yards and a score.
Bush and the Saints came back the next series though. Brees was pinpoint accurate and after 8 plays, Reggie Bush scored from 2 yards out.
The second quarter is when everything fell apart for the Saints defense as they let Trent Edwards pass all over their defense. He scored on another pass to Miller, followed by a 2 yard run from Justin Fargas, with another score before halftime on a swing pass to Lynch.
The big news was about Drew Brees. On the final play before half, he was rush out of the packet and knock down and cane up limping. The trainers would come out and he got up and off the field with some help from his big guys up front. He came out of the locker room with a brace on his foot. Doctors called it a “high ankle sprain”, and he’d miss the rest of the game.
He third quarter was controlled by the Seahawks ground game. Even though Chase Daniel was now thrust into the game, they pounded the rock to control he clock to make sure they didn’t let them get any ideas on resurgence.
Lynch scored on a 1 yard run with 3:41 to go. The Hawks scored early in the 4th on a pass to Lynch from 3 yards. The Seahawks defense was gassed by the 4th, and allowed Chase Daniels to go down the field and score twice, both by Reggie Bush to at least save face and not get routed.
Trent Edwards had a career game against the Saints. He went 23/29 for 400 yards and 4 TD. His name should be entrenched in the MVP discussion and race if he keep this kind of production up. Next up their old AFC rivals the Chiefs come to Seattle.
Final score Seahawks 41, Saints 21Comment

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Week 12
Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks
Both teams started off sluggish. Seattle got on the board first with a 29 yard field goal to make it 3-0. Kansas City helmed by Matt Cassel took the team down and scored on a Jamal Charles 4 yard run to go up 3-7 at he end of the first.
The second quarter saw the Seahawks find their rhythm as they got another field goal half way through to make it 6-7, then McCoy caught a 15 yarder from Edwards to make it 13-7. The big story was on defense. Star linebacker Lofa Tatupu went for a tackle on their running back and suffered a season ending injury with what was later diagnosed as a broken tibia. Anontio Pierce was called upon to fill the void left by Tatupu.
In the third quarter, the ‘old’ Edwards showed up as he threw a pick-six to the talented Flowers who took it 89 yards on a very bad judgement call when they were in the red zone.
The saying ‘better lucky then good’ is true, as Edwards threw a pass intended for Zach Miller in the corner of the end zone was tipped away, but Justin Fargas with his sure hands was there to catch it before it hit the ground to score the eventual game winning touchdown.
Kansas City marched down to bring it within 3, with a shade under 9 minutes to go in the game. Seattle couldn’t sustain any long drives and had to punt with 2 minutes to go. Matt Cassel marched down the field and easily got them within field goal range but with no time outs remaining couldn’t get the field goal unit on to attempt the game tying fled goal. Knox was tackled for a 2 yard loss as the Seahawks held on by a slim margin.
Final score Seahawks 20 Chiefs 17
Trent Edwards had a good game other then the pick-six. He went 27/39 for 304 yards and 2 TD.
The next day, Lofa Tatupu was put on season ending IR, and in a corresponding move, 26 year old Keith Ellison out of Oregon State was signed to a 1 year deal worth $910K. Anontio Pierce was now the starting MLB with Keith Ellison backing up the veteran.Last edited by Chyli; 02-09-2020, 10:27 PM.Comment

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Week 13
Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks
The game started out bland as neither team scored or gained many yards in the first quarter
The second quarter more action was happening as Marshawn Lynch ran it in for a 4 yard touchdown. Trent Edwards was crisp going 4/6 on the opening drive. Carolina’s kicker answered with a field goal to make it a 7-3 game. Mare kicked his own field goals, one as time expired into the half to push the lead to 13-7.
Carolina started off shaky in the third quarter as Matt Moore threw an interception to Marcus Trufant after the ball was tipped.
Seattle was forced to punt as Deangelo Williams gashed them up the middle for a 79 yard run and score to make it a 13-10 game.
Lendale White ran it in from a yard out to put it back to a 10 point lead of 20-10.
The fourth quarter is when the Seahawks failed to put the game away. The offense was unable to put any more points on the board. The defense allowed Carolina to kick two field goals AND worse yet let DeAngelo Williams bust off another 79 yard touchdown.
Seattle drove with :46 seconds left in the game, but Trent Edwards threw a game ending interception to veteran Thomas Davis to seal the game as Matt Moore kneeled out the game.
————-
Week 14
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
The 49ers went into this NFC tilt with a slew of injuries. Their starting QB Alex Smith was out 10 weeks with broken wrist. Their starting FS Dashon Goldson was out 3 weeks with hip bursitis. Plus their star running back Frank Gore was out 2 weeks with a hip pointer. Other injuries were to Eric Heitmann, and Barry Sims.
These injuries were key, as the first pass of of the game by backup 49ers QB David Carr, was intercepted and taken back for a touchdown by Eric Weddle. The lead was 7-0 Hawks. The Hawks were unable to capitalize on their next possession as Trent Edwards threw an interception of his own in the end zone stopping their momentum and keeping the lead 7-0.
The next possession the Seahawks got they did turn into points as Trent Edwards found Marshawn Lynch on a short pass as he escaped out of the backfield. The 49ers brought pressure, allowing Lynch to run virtually untouched up the heart of the 49er defense for a big 72 yard catch and run for a score. The Seahawks led 14-0. Olindo Mare added a field goal before the end of the first quarter to make it a 17-0 lead.
The Hawks added a lone field goal before half time to make it a 20-0 lead at halftime, as the defense continued to shut down the depleted 49er offense.
After halftime the 49ers were able to put some points on the board as Nedney kicked a 51 yarder in to make it a 20-3 game. The Seahawks answered on a 3rd and long, but throwing a strike to Steve Smith down the right side who after a quick juke move ran past the last defender and in for an 89 yard score. The lead was now 27-3.
The fourth quarter was all 49ers, as they got a lone touchdown by Glenn Coffee from 1 yard out to make it an eventual final score of 27-10.
Trent Edwards continued to pitch his name for league and NFC MVP candidate by going 20/38 for 333 yards and 2 TD with a lone INT.
—————
Week 15
Atlanta Falcons at Seattle Seahawks
Atlanta got the ball first. Matt Ryan threw precise passes to Michael Jenkins and Harry Douglas and finished off the drive with a 10 yard run by Norwood. The Falcons led 7-0. On Seattle’s first possession was intercepted by Peterson who ran it back 26 yards for a Falcon’s touchdown to push their lead to 13-0 as Bryant missed the extra point.
Matt Ryan and the Falcon offense was clicking on all cylinders. The added a field goal as time expired in the first quarter to push the lead to 16-0.
The second quarter was all Seahawks as they took their first possession of the quarter and got a field goal to make it a 13-3 deficit. The Seahawks defense then forced a safety to make it a 13-5 hole.
Too bad Trent Edwards threw his second interception to Thomas Decoud. The Falcons turned the turnover into a field goal to push their lead to 19-5.
Trent Edwards threw two clutch passes to Marshawn Lynch and Zach Miller to set up a yard yard plunge by fullback Larsen to pull within a touchdown at halftime, 12-19.
Seattle got the ball to start the second half. Facing a 3rd down and 10, Edwards passed the ball to full back Rob Gronkowski as he ran a wheel route to the right. After he broke a flimsy tackle attempt by Decoud, he tumbled and stumbled an impressive 71 yards to tie up the ball game at 19 all.
The Falcons answered right away as Peelle dove in for a little 1 yard score of his own. The Falcons retook the lead 26-19. Seattle then pulled within 4, by an Olindo Mare 42 yarder that split the uprights. Followed by a 4 yard toss to Rob Gronkowski to take the lead once more at 29-26
The fourth quarter was much of the same for Edwards as he threw his third interception and second pick to Peterson. The Falcons turned this into points as well with a 24 field goal to tie up the game at 29-29.
Seattle was marching down the field, to attempt to take the lead with about 5 minutes to go when Larson put the ball on the ground. Lofton from Atlanta scooped the ball and outran all the defenders to take a 36-29 Falcon lead with 5 minutes to go.
Seattle had to punt the ball, but the defense managed to stop the Falcons high powered offense to give their offense one last attempt to force overtime.
Seattle’s Edwards’ took the ball and drove the team down the field. He threw a pair of clutch passes to Zach Miller and the fullback Larson. It was 3rd and 10, when he threw a perfect over the shoulder ball to Anthony McCoy as he ran an post route to the corner of the end zone. The game was knotted at 36-36. The Seahawks defense forced overtime as Atlanta took the ball first.
The first pass attempt of Matt Ryan in overtime was intercepted cleanly by Antoine Cason as he jumped the route and he took it to the house in an epic finish to the game. The Seahawks won the game 42-36.
Trent Edwards told reporters at the end of he game, “I played horrible, our defense kept us in it. We were fortunate today, but I’ve got to clean up my play if we want to go deep in the playoffs”.
Edwards’ ended his night by going 31/59 for 529 yards. He threw 3 TD and 4 INT
—————
Week 16
Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The game started off with the Seahawks getting the ball first. Hey weren’t able to move the ball well as both teams punted their first chances. Seahawks got the scoring started with Mare field goal from 28 yards to go up 3-0. They added another field goal from 45 yards less then one minute later after the defense forced a 3 and out. Lynch added a 2 yard run to push the lead to 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter each team traded touchdowns. Tampa Bay’s Cadillac Williams scores from 1 yard out. Seattle answered two possessions later, as Edwards passed to Zach Miller from 21 yard on a post route. Going into halftime Seattle was ahead 20-7.
The third quarter was once again dueling touchdowns. Tampa Bay’s former Seahawk Leon Washington scores from 2 yards out. Seattle then scored twice, Edwards passed to Lynch and then McCoy to push the lead to 34-21. Tampa Bay scored towards the end of the third as Josh Freeman threw a perfect spiral to Deon Branch who outran the cornerback for a 64 yard score to make it a 34-21 game.
The fourth quarter belonged all to Seattle as they scored an impressive four times. The first was a short 5 yard pass to Gronkowski, followed by a safety as Mebane tackles Washington in the end zone. Tampa Bay scored on a Washington dove into the endone who then scored on the 2 point attempt as well to make it a 48-29 game.
Lynch busted a touchdown of 88 yards as the Tampa Bat defense committed themselves to pass defense after they sacked Edwards to force a second and long. Lynch took a sweep to the right, bowled over a defender then broke two more tackles before strolling into the end zone. Then to so off the game, the Bucs let Steve Smith roam free and Edwards connected with a wide open Smith for a 62 yard score. No defender was within 10 yards of the wide receiver.
The final score of he game was 57-29
Trent Edwards continued his bid for MVP. He threw for 471 yards, on 28/43 passing. He tossed 5 touchdowns but added 2 interceptions in the day. One was in the red zone. He was named OFF PoTW for week 16.
—————
Week 17
St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks
The season finale was gonna be a tough matchup between NFC rivals. The Hawks won the first game 21-10. They home to sweep the Rams who are on a two game win streak of their own. The Seahawks are trying to wrap up a first round by with either a win or Cowboys loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Philly.
The Seahawks were prepared from he kickoff. The Rams got the ball to start the game, but were forced to punt after only getting one first down. Punting would be the theme of the game for the Rams.
Seattle started the game by Lynch running for a 1 yard score. Followed by a Mare field goal at the half way point of the first. He second both teams were held scoreless, but the Seahawks were waiting for the time to strike.
The Seahawks sure struck, and multiple times in the third quarter. Mare hit a 42 yard field goal at the 8:59 mark. Edwards got the passing touchdowns started with a 6 yard juggling catch to McDonald in the center of the end zone. Followed up with a 10 yarder to McCoy on a post route at 2:39. They ended the third quarter with a 46 yard score to Steve Smith where Smith juked a defender out of his cleats to stroll in.
The fourth quarter was much the same. McCoy caught another touchdown from Edwards from 34 yards up the seem. Miller caught a 9 yarder on in/out route. McCoy caught his third as time expired to cap off the offensive fireworks show with a 5 yard post route.
The final score was Seahawks 55 Rams 0
After the game Carroll told the media, “I wanted to put Trent Edwards in the conversation for NFL MVP. He’s helped to get us to where we are. I wanted this for him the most”.
Edwards finished the game with 635 yards on 42/62 passing and 6 TDs. The MVP race is down to him and perennial MVP Payton Manning.Last edited by Chyli; 02-10-2020, 02:03 AM.Comment

Re: Pro PAC-12 or how Pete Carroll had a meltdown (M11 chise)
Divisional Game
Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks looked unprepared for this game, as Dallas started off with a seek route touchdown to Miles Austin that went the distance of 74 yards for the score. Their kicker missed the extra point though. Heir lead was only 6-0. Seattle was forced to punt on their next possession and Dallas added to their lead with a 12 corner post pass to Roy Williams.
It wasn’t until the end of he first quarter when Edwards threw a 8 yard pass to Miller, something the Hawks fans have grown accustomed to. Too bad the electric kick returner Jacoby Jones took the ensuing kickoff 94 yards to quickly and emphatically retake the momentum back from the Seahawks and make it a 19-7 game.
Dallas was unable to score through most of the second quarter. Edwards threw a pass to Zane Beadles whom was an eligible receiver but usually plays on the offensive line. His brought the score closer, at 19-14. Dallas added a field goal before the half to make it 22-14.
Seattle got the ball to start the third quarter. Edwards matched down and connected with Steve Smith from 4 yards, but their attempted 2 point conversion to tie the game failed so the lead was only 2 at 22-20.
Dallas continued to dominate through the air. The surgical Tony Romo found Austin two more times from 34 yards and 18 yards. The Seattle defense an absolutely no answer for him.
Dallas’ defense continued to easily get past the makeshift offensive line Pete Carroll had put together in hopes of making an all PAC-12 team work in the NFL.
The final score was Dallas 38, Seattle 20. The MVP of the game was Miles Austin who torched Seattle for 7 catches, 159 yards and 3 touchdowns.
After the game Pete Carroll looked sad for obvious reasons. He told the media “I’m proud of the guys out there. I failed to come up with a game plan to win this game. It’s on me”.
Edwards’ old self we prevalent as he threw three interceptions, to go with his 3 touchdown passes. Edwards stated after the game, “I had a great season according to the media, and all the accolades thrown at me. I failed my teammates though when it counted most. It sucks...I prepped by wasn’t my best when our guys needed me most”Last edited by Chyli; 02-10-2020, 11:44 AM.Comment
