So I am doing a bit of an experiment (though I know I'm not the first to try this lol) with graduate transfer quarterbacks. Two of them will transfer to become instant starters while four were created as Senior (JUCO) prospects to be recruited- I'm interested if schools already loaded with QBs (Alabama, Clemson) will get these guys or if they will choose places that truly need a QB the next year.
INSTANT TRANSFERS
Chase Wolf (92 Overall)
Wisconsin to Missouri ~ Wolf, a redshirt senior, opted to make a move to Missouri. A Kansas native, the Tigers were one of the first teams to recruit him out of high school. They had an impressive year in 2021 and Wolf might make them a contender again.
Jacob Sirmon (91 Overall)
Washington to BYU ~ Sirmon, an undeniable talent, transferred to fellow PAC-12 program BYU. There, he will be a starter and be the best quarterback they have had in years. They have been in the mid-pack / below average since the Great Alignment.
QUARTERBACKS TAKING A YEAR OFF TO BE RECRUITED
Matt Corral (97 Overall)
Ole Miss ~ Corral is one of the best transfer quarterbacks in some time. A true game changer with top-end talent, he has played few snaps behind accompanying senior John Rhys Plumlee.
Kedon Slovis (93 Overall)
USC ~ The highly-recruited Slovis is testing the market after losing the starter battle with JT Daniels. The Arizona native has a great scrambling ability with high-level accuracy.
Dakereon Jyner (93 Overall)
South Carolina ~ The South Carolina born-and-raised QB is going to be an explosive asset for whoever signs him. The former WR never could secure the starting job and will get one more shot in 2023.
Cord Sandberg (92 Overall)
Auburn ~ Sandberg, an MLB prospect, has had little opportunity to play in his four years behind Bo Nix. Being a Florida-native, many speculate he will sign with Florida or Florida State- both will be needing a QB in 2023.
