      Week Recap:
2-1-1 after we started 0-1-1, definitely have to like that. DiPietro looks to be finding his game which is good because we're getting outshot nearly every game still. The scoring has been fantastic though, so hopefully that keeps up while we look for a defenseman.

Maybe with all the extra prospects you can trade for a top notch left winger like Rick Nash (continue your poaching of good Columbus players ), Ales Hemsky or Zach Parise.
Or you could get big defenseman.
I'm more thinking we need a big solid shutdown defenseman. Preferably one with only a year or two left on his contract. Bouwmeester would be nice, but we really can't afford him. Maybe a Dan Hamhuis or Ryan Suter from Nashville, Rotislav Klesla from Columbus, someone in that more of defensive defenseman mold, if they add some offense that's just a bonus.

            Week Recap:
Damn schedule makers. We put together two very good wins and then don't play for 5 days, go figure. That 1st line really needs Booth back, as they're non-existant right now for the most part. If we keep winning, we might have to seriously consider going out and getting a top notch left winger.

DiPeitro shut down Buffalo. Nice win over San Jose. If you want a big shut-down defensemen, get Zdeno Chara (lol).

                    Breaking News

Early today, the New York Islanders completed a trade with the Vancouver Canucks that will see LW Daniel Sedin and D Willie Mitchell go to the Islanders in exchange for D Mark Streit, LW Sean Bergenheim and RW Kai Kantola.

Isles' general manager Garth Snow had this to say about the trade, "We needed a legitimate top line scoring threat on the left wing to compliment Lecavalier with David Booth out until who knows when and a true defensive defenseman and I think we got both of those today with the acquisition of Daniel Sedin and Willie Mitchell. Will Daniel be as effective without his brother Henrik? I don't know but I'm sure hoping so. Streit and Bergenheim will both be great assets to this Canucks team, it just so happened that they didn't fit into our plans that well. And in Kai Kantola, it just seemed that he was unhappy here as he hasn't progressed how we thought he would and hopefully a change of scenery will bring out the best in him. We wish him as well as Streit and Bergenheim the best of luck with their new team."

                      Week Recap:
2-2 but it should've been better. DiPietro was bad against the Kings, and we shouldn't be losing to teams like Dallas that are struggling big time. At least Sedin looks to be fitting in well on the top line and the 2nd line is scoring at will almost it seems now.

Yes we did, and now we're on a very nice roll that I hope continues. The Canucks are struggling big time and were looking for some youth so I gave them that and I think since the trade they've actually gone 3-3, so it seems the shakeup has helped them too so far.
