Re: A Different Path (BAP)
Rangers Send Prospect Back Down
AP
Despite him recording his first two NHL points, the New York Rangers have decided to send right wing Patrick Cosgrove back to Hartford. Whether this was a chemistry issue or not, the Rangers feel they are better off keeping him down in Hartford. He will be replaced in the lineup by Aaron Voros. Voros has 1 assist in 4 games this year.Comment

Re: A Different Path (BAP)
Walking into the locker room Pat knew he was going to catch some guff for his small cameo in New York. Going back to his stall, he realized he was lucky that he hadn’t gotten rid of his apartment or his car. He hadn’t even gotten a paycheck as a part of the Rangers.
“The Prodigal Son returns. Welcome back to hel-I mean Hartford. How was Tampa man?” Brodie Dupont said, giving him a light punch in the arm.
“It was cool man, I had a good time. I even scored a goal.”
“No way man. Yo guys check this out, we got ourselves a bona-fide NHL scorer. He scored a whole goal,” Tommy said jokingly lacing up his skates before the morning skate.
“Yeah I’m just lucky I didn’t move to New York. That would have been awkward,” Pat said as he got his socks and jersey from Russ the equipment manager.
“Pat can I talk to you son?” Coach Ken asked sticking his head out of his office.
“We’ll be putting you back on the same line with Brandon and Mark. You three seemed to have good chemistry. I realize you’re probably pretty angry that the Rangers sent you down, but you just have to focus on the positive. They thought enough of you to give you a shot and you made the most of it. They just didn’t agree. Channel that negative energy and make it something postive son.”
Pat knew he now had something to prove. He had gotten points but Mr. Sather hadn’t thought enough of him to send some of the other players down. Practicing with Aaron Voros he knew he was better and was probably on par with one of his favorite players Ryan Callahan.
He would show the Rangers what they were missing in New York and that he was an integral part of their organization.Comment

And for some reason, some how, I just KNEW it wouldn't last. The same thing happened in Mikko's 1st callup. But he only played ONE gameComment
