Leafs Fall To Ducks In High Scoring Affair
Thirteen goals were scored between the Maple Leafs and Ducks, with the Leafs scoring six and the Ducks scoring seven. James van Riemsdyk and James Neal lead a late comeback with two goals in the last five minutes of the game, but the Ducks held off the attempt by the Leafs for their fourth win of the season. Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who took an early lead behind goals from Bobby Ryan and Nick Bonino. The Leafs were lead on the offensive side of the scorecard by James Neal and James van Riemsdyk, who both finished the game with a goal and an assist.
James Reimer was pulled from the game after letting in seven goals on 26 shots, recording only 19 saves and was replaced by rookie Ben Scrivens, who only made on save in the game. Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller faced 41 shots, making 35 saves in the win.

Leafs Fall To Capitals In Overtime Despite Kessel Hat Trick
Apparently, the Toronto Maple Leafs need much more than a hat trick from sniper Phil Kessel. Kessel netted all three of the Maple Leafs' goals on the night, but a late goal by Joel Ward with the Capitals net empty and a one-timer goal from Capitals defenseman Mike Green sealed the deal for the Leafs, who picked up a point in the loss.

Reimer, Leafs Shut Down Predators Offense
James Reimer made 35 saves to earn his second shutout of the season, and Phil Kessel added two third period goals to help the Maple Leafs to a 3-0 shutout win over the Nashville Predators. Carl Gunnarsson opened the scoring just three minutes into the third period, when he fired a slap shot from the point past a a screened Jaroslav Halak. Halak made 33 saves in the loss. There was a total of 28 penalty minutes assessed for both teams combined, leading to two Toronto powerplays that they could not manage to capitalize on.

Re: The GM Journey of Martin Miller
Leafs Strike Early, Down Rivals At Home
5 minutes into the game, Leafs enforcer Colton Orr scored his first goal of the season past Senators goalie Craig Anderson to give the Leafs an early lead, before Joffrey Lupul added a powerplay goal in the second period to propel the Leafs to a 2-1 win over their rivals, the Ottawa Senators.
Orr scored his first goal of the campaign by poking the puck through the legs of Craig Anderson to give the Leafs the lead before a powerplay marker near the halfway point of the second period by Joffrey Lupul widened the lead. Milan Michalek netted his second goal of the season in last few minutes in the third period to put the Sens on the board, but that was all they could muster as James Reimer shut the door with 29 saves on the night.
