Yeah he has, but this staff likes to keep kids silent and have recruits come in bunches. My guess is this is the first of several commitments coming in the next 7-10 days. My only concern is again his height of just 5'9, with teams going with 6'2+ receivers despite the talent the DB may have it creates huge matchup problems.

I know how the staff operates. In this case however, Mitchell was never a silent. Florida State was the most likely destination, but he was really considering the other schools.

And his height isn't that big of an issue. Most college teams don't take advantage of that match-up unless the receiver has freakish size. Not only that, but the number of receivers that possess the talent to go along with that size is small. Also, Florida State's corners will now finally have safeties helping them over the top.

Apparently 5 star WR Markeith Ambles has been pushing for a solid offer from Auburn's staff. According to the mods on the AU board, AU's staff has some "character concerns" regarding Ambles which are delaying any offer.

Plus, AU only has 6 scholarships left in this class and already has 4 WRs committed, 4 very good WRs.

It would be nice to add yet another 5 star prospect to this class, but if this kid is a trouble maker, etc. then I'd prefer we let him go to UNC (his other option according to Ambles).

In all honesty, we don't need any more skill players. We need to use that scholly for another O or D lineman.

I'd like to see us close with...

        5 star RB Marcus Lattimore
        4 star DT Jeffrey Whitaker
        4 star DT Bryan Jones
        4 star DE Corey Lemonier
        4 star OT Eric Mack

and 1 more scholly to a big JUCO DT or OL

We've got plenty of stars already. With Lattimore on board, this will be the sickest group of skill players in one class in Auburn history as far as "stars" go. 5 star QB, 2 5 star RBs, 3 4 star WRs. We're set at the skill positions. Plus 2 3 star Athletes in D.J. Howard and Shaun Kitchens. Luginbill has been raving about Kitchens as a WR prospect.

We need more 300 pound "big uglies" on both sides of the ball.

                    Terrance Magee to LSU.

Odds are in about 2 years you will hear Lundqueist talk about his story and how "incredible" it is.

The kid is gonna end up in JUCO.

If he was even remotely close to getting the grades,he'd be an Auburn Tiger right now. He called the staff and wanted to commit prior to the Army All Star game but his qualifying status has been "sketchy" at best so they told him they don't have a scholly available right now.

I hope the kid makes his grades, but all signs point to him headed to JUCO. Talented kid who has great size for a safety as well.

Arie Kouandijo is in Tuscaloosa for his OV. Hopefully he commits to us soon.

And even better, his brother Cyrus is in town with him. He's a legit candidate for the #1 prospect in the '11 class and this weekend could do wonders for our chances with him.

Florida State picked up commitment #21 from 3* TE Will Tye from Salisbury, CT. He had offers from Miami, N.C. State, Villanova, Temple, and Wyoming. That is the strangest offer sheet for a prospect I have ever seen,

You can add LSU as well. I think he might be a diamond in the rough. His starting QB was REALLY bad, & he had to adjust to his ducks. His comparisons are of UF's Aaron Hernandez, Missouri tight end Martin Rucker, & Martellus Bennett, formerly of Texas A&M, now w/ the Dallas Cowboys. I'm diggin' the addition...fo sho

3-star LB/DE Davion Rogers switches from West Virginia to Michigan. Always love to get the Warren Harding kids.

Also, Inkster QB Devin Gardner will officially become Michigan QB Devin Gardner when he starts class on Tuesday. Thank god that process finally got through and he's able to enroll early.

I am already having flashbacks to my senior year with Devin throwing to Cam. This is why I need to transfer back closer to home, I miss watching UM football every week (even though I know I didn't miss anything this year).
