Miller says he's staying at Tennessee

Byrnes DE Corey Miller, an early enrollee at Tennessee, said Tuesday night he is staying with the Vols and will begin classes Wednesday morning. "I'm 100% Vols," Miller said. "I'm going to class tomorrow. I love Knoxville. I love this place and this is where I'm going to be. It was a letdown (to hear the news of Lane Kiffin's departure) but we've got to stick together as a team and pull thru it." Miller said he's not talked to recruiters from other schools and has no plans to. Once he attends class Wednesday morning, he becomes locked in with the Vols.

I would have liked to have Willis, but he has to do what he's got to do. Miller on the other hand has been solid to UT for a while and it is good to hear that he is staying.

The Noles are now in prime position to pillage a recruit or two. And who is the guy to do that? Why former UT running back coach Eddie Gran, of course. Gran is the only coach who had contact with the current commitments while coaching at Tennessee who will not be at USC. Stay tuned for more.

FSU Defensive Lineman Everette Dawkins is texting current UT commitments Brandon Willis and Corey Miller (Dawkins went to their high school) right now. Miller is staying at UT, but Willis is now open again.

Tennessee DT commit Calvin Smith is the most likely candidate to switch.

No big surprise imo. I just hope that we can somehow keep Ambles. I know he and Ambles developed a relationship during the AAA game and practices. I just hope to God we dont lose him

He is still on campus and he isnt going anywhere. I dont know where you heard this from, but possibly from the same source that said Willis was quoted as saying he isnt going to UT and his buddy Miller is leaving with him.

Brandon's Byrnes High bookend, Corey Miller, already was in Knoxville. The Willises called Miller and told him he should not, under any circumstances, attend class on Wednesday. Tuesday, Miller told PalmettoSports.com that he intends to attend class anyway. "I'm 100 percent Vols," Miller told the site. "I'm going to class tomorrow. I love Knoxville. Sorry, but Scout is wrong on this one. The only chance that Miller leaves UT is if Hamilton tries to hire Calhoun from AF.
