If Lattimore commits to AU, that will give Chizik FOUR 5 star recruits in this class.

I can't remember the last time AU had a recruiting class led by four 5 star recruits.

At this point, it's all gravy.

If Lattimore/Seastrunk/Whitaker/Lemonier/Mack commit, I'll go from "Chizik/Malzahn/Taylor are the man" to "Chizik/Malzahn/Taylor are the ****in man."

Well, as far as "sources" go...I literally had a conversation with 2 members of Mack's family at the Under Armour game and BOTH said that Mack is gonna end up at Auburn.

I think we get Lattimore, Whitaker, Thornton, Lemonier, and Mack and call it a day. Then I'll proceed to do cartwheels naked down my street at that haul of talent.

Equally impressive is Auburn doing this with their in state rival having a banner year. Someone forgot to tell Chizik and Co. they were supposed to roll over and play dead when Bammer is good.

I've read your posts (and have friends with Rivals accounts); I know who we're "supposed" to sign.

I'm just saying that even if we miss on all our current croots, I'll still be satisfied. If we hit on half, I'm good to go. If we get everyone you say, Chizik, Malzahn, and Taylor should be given Long term SEC head coach/long term head non-SEC coach/and top tier coordinator contracts.

If our boosters want to actually compete with Senior Saban, they'll get it done.

According to some, UF is completely out of the race for Hicks now that Taylor has switched his commitment.

I don't think it changes things, but I guess at least tOSU is in the discussion again. Still a massively strong Texas lean, though.

UF ends up with the #1, 4, and 7 recruits in the country, all three D-Lineman. If they all pan out, that's going to be scary as hell.

I don't think Taylor would have that effect on Hicks unless it's UF giving up on him coming. The Gator recruiting sites aren't reporting Taylor as a commit yet so I'm not sure if it's a done deal or if other outlets are jumping the gun like the James Louis "commitment".

It's hard to get a read on Hicks.. over the last few days I've read: Texas has a sizeable lead, it's 50/50 between OSU and UF, and he was going to end things and commit to OSU. I also think he ends up at Texas, but there's a lot of info being put out there right now about him.

Taylor to UF is NOT a done deal. Yes, he decommitted from UT, but his recruiter Lance Thompson has been on the phone with him trying to reel him back in. Not saying he is still coming to us, but there is dialogue between the two and Taylor is listening. It will all depend on who we hire (which the list is getting smaller everyday) and whether or not the new coach keeps Thompson on staff. There is a lot of things that will happen between now and Feb 3rd.

Rivals is really off this year IMO, on a lot of guys.

Rivals is doing a great job this year. They were pretty bad the previous two years, but they were great for the classes of 2006 and 2007.

This year I disagree. But meh, you can't tell for another 3-4 years, but I disagree with this year's list more than I have in the past.
