3 years later and LSU still hasn't torn the "toss dive" page out of the playbook.

Quite possibly the most counter intuitive play in all of football. Get the defense heading in one direction and then turn up right into the pursuit. Genius!

Whatever happened to Bart Houston? I know Wisconsin thought a lot of him coming out of De La Salle in 2012...hard to believe he wouldn't have been better than that obscenity McEvoy left on the field tonight. 8/25, 50 yards?

Quite possibly the most counter intuitive play in all of football.

I don't understand the concept of "toss it straight back and run it right up the middle". Why not just hand it off?

Gordon has gotten maybe 3 carries all half and they kept an All-B1G Honorable Mention/ Davey O'Brien Award watch list QB on the bench for this guy? What is Gary Andersen thinking?

Makes sense. I remember when they first started running that play, analysts said something about the toss confusing defenders and getting them to pursue to the edge, opening up lanes inside... or something of that nature.

I asked a friend who is a Wisconsin fan the very same question. Friend said that Houston had shoulder surgery and was never the same.

Not a terrible batch of games, but I can't remember the last time the top echelon teams looked so mediocre in week 1.
