Great demo! First of all the presentation is a nice change. It seems more like I'm in the moment... very similiar to Madden 10. The game looks great. The ESPN presentation is the best thing in presentation yet. It looks excactly like Im watching a pre-game on ESPN. The score overlay is a mirror image I swear, it's awesome! Timeouts, clock, down and distance, and it's at the bottom were it belongs. Everything feels much smoother. It seems like tampering with the speed of the game the last 1 1/2 years (also Madden) has really helped it "feel" more real. Also the locomotion has REALLY made a difference. It would appear they were right about agi, and acc making just as much of a difference as speed. I've had some great runs with a bunch of backs but imparticularly Tre Newton (HB #23) for Texas, and his speed is only 83! He's elusive with great agi, acc, spin and juke. Thanks EA... I know Madden's franchise got overlooked in favor of gameplay and it would seem both titles are on the right track with game speed and locomotion... I can finally have a power back make a difference! Good work.

Aight, I'm starting to have a few doubts now.
On varsity, corners are glued to my receivers, same on AA or Heisman. Seriously. I'm also finding my screens always getting batted down. The pass rush still needs a lil work, too.
And on the read option, I can't even tell who's being unblocked because the button icons over the players completely block everything. And when I do actually keep the ball, my QB apparently gets stuck in a couple motions before finally taking off. It just feels... awkward. Am I running the correct way?

Has anyone had the issue when you are scrambling with your quarterback and he crosses the line of scrimmage and he puts his shoulder down and it seems like he slows down when theres no one around. Doesn't look fluid at all.

Certain animations are only triggered by players with high agility ratings....

the reason why you see the cutting look more realistic is because they lowered the agility ratings down this year.

No more 20-30 guys on the team with 90 agility....the lower the players agility rating the slower and less responsive you'll see certain moves happen now.

Pros: The game feels a lot more fluid. The atmosphere feels like a saturday game. Seems like momentum is appreciated a bit more. ESPN presentation is back in the game, and is delivered very well. Graphics are very good. Locomotion makes running seem smoother and a bit more realistic. Refs are back on the field. I actually witnessed a consecutive hit(Double Hit. Not Pro-Tak), but it doesnt happen often.

Cons: Still doesnt show Lee Corso choosing the team he thinks would win by putting on mascots head like last gen. Didnt notice field messing up at all from 4 quarters of play. Uniforms still dont get dirty. I still noticed the infamous over the shoulder jumping catch(Some times not even looking at ball) used in wrong situations. The running animations still fail. Seems as if they are ice skating. Still saw problems with receivers not even attempting to jump to catch balls. Still noticed missed blocking/Cover assignments especially on harder difficulties. I understand it makes the game harder, but it shouldnt dumb down ur players in order to beat u.

All in All its better than its next gen predecessors. Still has some of the same flaws that plagued it and Madden 10 b4, but maybe they can be fixed b4 release, though i doubt it. Still is a bit better than NCAA 10.

Exactly. You will see those small shifty backs(Jeff Demps) being high in agility but with less break tackle and trucking. While you will see big backs(Daniel Thomas) with low agility but high break tackle and trucking. I think rating on RB are the biggest issue to control and figure out. If we have the new attributes for QB in this year game that will also make it more realistic.

Pryor had about 4 rushes on me, for 40 yards. Once the pocket collapses, he's looking to run. I like to see that.

After about 7 hours of downloading yesterday I finally got a chsnce to play the demo this morning before work. This is a decent improvement. It didn't wow me but it did put me into the college gameday spiirit. I'm in the minority here but I like the way they playcall screen functions.

I'm not digging this locomotion stuff. Definitely an improvement but it didn't feel like I was on skates. I think this is because I've been spoiled by the player movements from Backbreaker.

I also think it's way too easy to score on heisman and too easy to complete the deep ball but maybe that's because I was using Florida. This game is a buy for me. This looks like this will be the best installment yet

Just got done with fsu-uf. Won 14-7 on varsity once again.
Saw an awesome thing happen in my game. The cpu was in the shotgun and was running left, which is right where my de was waiting. However, instead of running into me like in past years, the rb cut up field and picked up 15 yards.

Really like this so far. I hope the delay between the playcalling menu is fixed in the retail version and we get coaches on the sideline.

This is inevitable. Contrary to what some believe, we're never going to have a perfect game. Always going to be problems. The question u have to answer is can u look past them?

I hope we have the ability to LOWER the game speed this year. I read somewhere that you can "speed the game up to your liking" but that doesnt tell me I can slow it down. I know that sounds crazy, and it would stand to reason....but you never know.
