I agree.. As long as the game play holds true, then I'm not to concerned with importing the Draft class.. That being said it would be nice to have a few more in that C/C- range instead of the D/D- range, but I don't see that as being the death of the Dynasty Mode..

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
Random teams:
Arizona
QB - 68 ovr, 58 awr, junior
HB - 75 ovr, 63 awr, 87 agi, senior
WR - 72 ovr, 67 awr, 60 agi, junior
Auburn
QB - 78 ovr, 69 awr, sophomore
HB - 91 ovr, 64 awr, senior --- 92 spd, 82 agi, 88 acc
HB - 87 ovr, 56 awr, junior --- 91 spd, 98 agi, 86 acc
Immediately I can tell you some of the issues:
#1- The 1*/2* recruits are rated too low. I think 50 needs to be the floor of the recruits.
#2- Agility for WRs/CBs is too low across the board. Highest agility is 87 for WRs. Speed is fine though, two 99s.
#3- Awareness for HBs/FBs/WRs is too low.
Top Awareness:
HB - 89...then drops to 80
FB - 76
WR - 83...then 76
LE - 67? Seriously? 67? That's the TOP in the country!!!
RE - A rare 76 lol...he's a redshirt SR...then it drops off to 69
DT - 83
LOLB - 67....yes a 67. He's rated a 94 OVR and has 67 awareness.
MLB - 66?...66? These are the quarterbacks of the defense...a 67 awareness?
ROLB - 79
CB - 86
FS - 98...then 86. This guy is a rarity
SS - 88 - 85 - 80 - 78
K - 89
P - 87
Ok so on second thought it's pretty f'd up...well the awareness is.

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
Honestly gameplay seemed decent from a quarter. I didn't observe anybody standing around acting stupid and their impact FS made a great play and picked off a jump ball.
This was on AA
I'm going to keep asking for a change to incoming recruits, but will continue to enjoy the game in the meantime.

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
Well I would assume that if you create a bunch of highly rated recruits, big programs will go after them and leave some of the average-rated, random-generated guys to the others. Just having better recruits at the top should theoretically elevate the talent level available to everybody all the way down the line, kind of like a cascade effect. The question is how many you need to see an impact on a large number of schools and keep the overall program ratings roughly the same - I would guess probably 50 players per year at least.

I am of the same opinion, it's a business inducement to generate revenue, not an accident.Comment

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
Well I just really hope the "it's all relative" argument holds up. I generally don't go much further than 8-9 years into Dynasty anyway, so ...
But that PSU RB corps post is rather alarming. 40 OVRs? Might as well just put your punter and kicker back there.Comment

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
That thing only boosts your own team's progression, doesn't it? If so, the serious sim buffs aren't going to be helped by it one iota. I guess it would make it easier to turn into a backdoor powerhouse - your team stays at roughly the same level while everyone else drops a letter grade. Instant rise in the BCS!Comment

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
I'd be much more inclined to buy that argument if your team was the only one being affected while the CPU teams were all turning out A+ teams every year. As it stands, this is issue is more about CPU-controlled programs falling apart than it is about your team falling behind the curve because you haven't bought an accelerator.Comment

Re: Is Dynasty ruined down the road?
I do think its all relative, but would like to see a few minor changes that people have already talked about but I just want to reinforce them
1. Awareness progression needs to be greater. Fine if a recruit comes in at 40 awr, but he should at least be a 70 awr by senior year or could progress to 80-90 awareness. However I dont know what kind of impact this would have on the overall ratings.
2. 1*-3* recruits need to be rated higher and possibly throw in some sleepers in there. Have a bottom level rating of 55.Comment
