This amazes me. I think back to a sim only dynasty I had on NCAA 07 several years back. People in the dynasty forums followed. It probably took me a decade to finally keep a job for more than a 3yr contract. A decade into this dynasty and I'm only on my 2nd school by my choice and have had 9 winning seasons and 9 bowl appearances

I guess I spoke too soon. Fired following a 7-5 season w/ a Las Vegas Bowl win. Winning record all 3 years too. I like it though...shows me that I'm certainly not in the MAC anymore and that the stakes are much higher.

Took the job at UCLA who wanted me 3 years ago when I decided to head to Tucson for the Arizona job. Looking for a bit of revenge by staying in the PAC-10? You bet your a$$ I am.

Following a 7-5 (4-4) season in year 1 and getting a blowout win in the Las Vegas Bowl, Coach Fanning hit the dusty recruiting trail and was able to wrangle his team the 23rd best class in the nation. This class included Fr. QB Andrew Cox who is an Elite 11 guy who'll redshirt his Fr. season.

We started the season with a loss to Alabama then ran off 8 straight wins. Fans and folks in the building were quietly thinking, "could we really make a run at a Natty?" after climbing to 5th in the nation. It wasn't meant to be as we dropped our final 2 games to Oregon and USC. To add to it, we got trounced by Texas in the Holiday Bowl.

The year is now 2023 and Coach Fanning has had and lost jobs at Arizona, UCLA and Florida. After leaving Gainesville, he landed in NJ as the head coach of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. In his 2 seasons there, Coach has posted a 13-11 record, gotten consecutive bowl bids (most recently the Fiesta Bowl) and won a Big East title. That success has earned Coach Fanning, called NoleFan by his players, a 3-yr extension-his first contract extension since leaving Kalamazoo over a decade ago.

It looks like Coach Fanning might've found a home in Piscataway. On the heels of the 3-yr extension he received coming into the season, he got Rutgers their 2nd Big East title in his time there. Following that success he's now been offered and inked a new 6-yr extension. This effectively has him locked for the next 7 seasons.

                Congrats Coach Fanning!

The year is 2030 and Coach Fanning has just finished a 9-2 (7-0) season giving him his 4th Big East title in 8 years in Piscataway and his 2nd straight. Congrats Coach!

His 19th ranked Scarlet Knights are currently projected to face the 9th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl.

Coach Fanning has won his 5th Big East title (3rd straight) with an 8-3 (5-2) record. He and the Scarlet Knights now prepare to face #2 San Diego State in the Fiesta Bowl.

In Week 12, Coach Fanning got his 200th career win in a 59-14 route of Hawaii on the way to finishing the season 10-1 (7-0). This gives Coach his 6th Big East title in the decade he's been at Rutgers and his 4th consecutive.

Ranked 5th in the nation, the Scarlet Knights now prepare to face the 3rd ranked Colorado Buffaloes in the Fiesta Bowl.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Just finished year 2 of my dynasty (NCAA 14).

After only getting 4 wins being the Offensive Coach for UMass, I moved to Northwestern as their OC. Huge surprise, we started 7-0, which had wins at Cal and at Nebraska. We then lost at home to Iowa and also in the Mountain West Championship to Utah in three overtimes, when we couldn't get our 2 point conversion and they did. Good enough to go bowling, a win against Florida.

Most likely, I'll be moving on if I get a Head Coach offer, pretty low chance that I'll get Head Coach offers but still stay as a Northwestern OC.

I'm getting back into NCAA Football, so I'll post here more often. Later I'll post my post-season wrapup.

My Texas State Bobcats team is sitting at 12-0 with the C-USA championship coming up. We have an all star offense and our QB is just a freshman. However, I think all the other standout players are seniors. Our defense hasn’t done too badly either. Once again, the greats are seniors. We have blasted about every team we played. If the next season is a great one, the BIG XII will be inviting us to join them.

Crazy sequence. Leading Oklahoma in Boulder. About to go up a couple scores. My star running back fumbles on the Oklahoma 7 yard line and OU brings it back for a score. The play was overturned and we scored a TD and went on to win.
