Weird EA game tbh. Whenever Air force ran a option play they couldn't be tackled, whenever they ran a non option run we stopped them easy. Offense did its thing all game tho, so I knew if I just didn't throw a pick, we'd win. We were horrible on 3rd down again. Halftime was 31-24, Texas. Texas wins the National Championship beating Air force, 52-45. On a different note, for the first time ever, I have no one to recruit during off-season recruiting. The one player I had on my board locked me out lol.

The only real victim here is MSU. Oregon and Coach Breezy got what they deserved in the end. Left out of the Natty because of a cheating scandal.

                    FIESTA BOWL
                    5 ARKANSAS vs 7 OKLAHOMA

[emoji599] Caleb Williams announced 8 days before the game that he would sit out of the Bowl game. He will either transfer to USC for his last year or enter the draft. Announcement will come after the season [emoji599]

                    1st
Arkansas comes out with a strong rushing attack that gives OU fits early but the defense holds them to 3. Sooners get their drive going with a great pass by Bowens in his first start but his second pass is the first interception of his career. Sooners force a 3 & out and Bowens makes up for his int with a beautiful 13 yd td pass to Farooq for a 7-3 lead. KJ Jefferson comes right back with a 51 yd bomb over the top to give Arkansas the lead right back. 10-7.

                    2nd
Both defenses step up forcing 3 straight punts before Arkansas adds a fg to extend the lead to 13-7. With 1:54 on the clock OU takes another deep shot with Bowens and that pass is picked as well setting up another fg by Arkansas. 16-7 Ark. OU still has time to try and score before the half and Bowens catches fire. He gets OU to the 10 and finds Mims on a corner route but Chavis the CB gets his second int leaving the Sooners empty in the redzone. 16-7 Ark.

                    3rd
OU gets the ball to start the half and they come out making some plays but only manage a fg. 16-10. Arkansas doesnt allow OU to shift the momentum however, Jefferson gets a 38 yd run with 7 broken tackles followed by a 20yd td pass the next play to extend the lead. 23-10 Ark. OU hands it to Murphy on 2nd down and he slices through the defense for the best rushing td of the season going 72yds for the td. 23-17. OU gets a stop and on the next possession Bowens finally hits Watkins for a big play that turns into a 48yd td pass and the first lead of the game for OU. 24-23. The lead is short lived as Arkansas answers yet again with big plays by Jefferson and they make it a 29-24 lead after a failed 2pt.

                    4th
Both teams trade punts. OU gets another crack at it and Bowens throws another Int. Arkansas answers with a fg leaving 4:35 on the clock and an 8 pt lead. OU puts another drive together and Owens throws his best pass of the day to Watkins setting up a short td run by Major with 2:54 left. OU gets the 2pt and ties it at 32. OU forces a huge 3&out giving Owens 1:28 to get them into fg range but the Arkansas defense holds. OU punts with 0:32 left, Arkanas tries to milk the clock but leaves 0:11 left with time for a punt return and maybe a hail mary. Mario Williams takes the punt return, sets up a great block, and as time expires goes down the sideline with only a man to beat who has the angle on him for the win

Mario steps out however trying to make sure the man doesnt get him. 32-32. If he slides inside the 30 its a fg, but he stayed up so it killed the last seconds

                        Re: RIVALS 23-24

                        Overtime
OU scores in 4 plays and takes a 39-32 lead.

Arkansas hits a flag route over 2 defenders for a 22 yd catch and ties it at 39 the following play.

Arkansas comes out with 2 pass plays but the second Jefferson gets sacked creating a must pass 3rd down and OU takes advantage of it holding them to a fg and a 42-39 lead

Bowens completes a 10 yd pass to Williams for a 1st, followed by an 8 yd run by Murphy. OU goes no huddle and gives it back to Murphy and the LB jumps the play in the backfield, but Murphy hits a perfect spin move and goes into the endzone for the win. 45-42 Sooners win the Fiesta Bowl

Defense defense defense today. Got up 35-0, 10 seconds into the second half and the rest is history. Back to back to back rose bowl champs. Really thought these last two years we were the best team in college football. It’s a shame us and Oklahoma didn’t get to meet on the grandest stage of them all but oh well. After this game, my family & I have decisions to make on what we want going forward whether it’s Oregon, somewhere new, or hanging it up.
