Go into your game adjustments and set your qb contain and option defense to agressive for the qb. They will hand the ball off a lot instead of the qb keeping it, I prefer running a spy just so the option doesn't become useless to the qb.

Yeah, penalties are broken...you might get an occasional clipping or false start (a holding call once in a while), but that's about it.
I primarily use the 2013 roster I posted on the OP (PS3). If you're on 360, I have no idea which roster will be the most stable - but yes, sometimes rosters can cause freezes...but also, using custom playbooks can also cause issues.
Also noticed that in the first half I came out audibling to a run in certain shotgun sets when I had numbers. In the second half the defense countered those formations by keeping an extra lb in the box. Good stuff!Comment

Actually I have been getting more penalties with your sliders than with my penalty sliders jacked up in the 90s. I actually got called for offensive pass interference and had a false start in my last game.

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14
The only very noticeable difference after playing with the rba at 100 is the initial first couple of plays the cpu can be a little overpowering but once the user gets a few run stuffs it settles in. Fatigue also plays a part but I can live with no rotation there usually the cpu runs the #1 back into the ground anyway which imo hurts them later in the game. Every now and again the qbs and rbs hit you with that dreaded stiff arm but after studying the ratings it usually is only the guys with a higher rating. It also provides a bit more wiggle from backs where I now am not sure which direction they will go resulting in more missed tackles.
A little OP at 1st but once you stuff them a few times the CPU running game comes back down to earthIf your bored...Check the Twitch for NCAA Dynasties, 2K League/MyTeam, FIFA and whatever else

I do not want to speak for Josh, but I do believe it was making more realistic WR/DB interaction, more diving break ups/ better animations etc.Comment

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14
It was actually something Matt had come up with in the community thread. It was initially started to reduce the number of times DBs would stop in the middle of routes (so more fluidity in coverage). It did that, but also seemed to improve the DB animations as NKRDIBL stated. As an unintended positive effect, QB awareness seemed to be a bit better in the pocket.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Yeah, it's a fun adjustment. Going up against elite DBs can be tough, but mis-matches really shine through too (it's quite gratifying to be able to hit that bomb every now and then or to mix-match your depth chart to exploit your opponent).Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14
Unfortunately for me I had no mismatches to use in that game, not to mention bamas dline only sacked me 6 times in my first 9 attempts. Pretty sure I was well into the negative category on rushing. Just about to go back in a get another game or two in playing all the way through.Comment

That's the tough thing....now you have to try to force some balls into coverage and count on your WRs to make plays.
Now....just checking because you said 50/51....you DO have OPI at 51 and DPI at 50, right? (I can't remember the order on NCAA). I'm pretty sure you said it right, but I just wanted to make sure because having DPI higher is a totally different animal - and not in a good way.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Hey Josh,
On the .csv you posted, do I just open the dynasty file and import the .csv for the coaches to be correct? Just importing will make them in the right spot, correct?Comment

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14
Played two full games with opi/dpi at 51/50. First was Penn St. (User) @ Wisconsin. Went into ot and ended up losing on an A. Lynch fumble down on the goaline. Wisc ended up kicking a fg to win it 10-7 best defensive game I have ever played. Both teams had around 300 yards but the difference was the Badgers run game with around 220. Stave was a mess but made a few plays when it counted. On to my side of it.....wow the Psu oline is absolutely horrible I had time for one route two if I was out running around. I tried to use motion to decipher between man and zone but that didn't help much. Forced a couple balls that were knocked down and threw 1 pick on 19/37 for around 280 or so yards. The oline though was so bad I was sacked 9 times which several I should have just thrown away. The match ups heavily favored the Badgers.
Second game I was N. Texas vs Marshall I was playing defense and let my son play offense to really pay attention to the cpu d (I am much better on d than o) anyhow he couldn't run much at all and gave Marshall a pick 6 so while I had it contained up to that point we fumbled on the next drive. He wanted to try d so I let him and Marshall went down the field in 3 plays lol to make it 14-0. We ended up turning it over again and shortly there after it was 21-0. He quit and I tried to make a comeback end result 56-3. I ended 9/33 passing I have only been close to being shut out 1 other time when I was actually trying to score. In the end I kicked a fg from the Marshall 7 with a 1st down but only 6 seconds to go so I had to get points. Really liking the change combined with what the couple changes I made.Comment
