    Hey,

I tried turning fatigue off in my Arkansas dynasty. I don't think I can ever go back to the way it was. Played Auburn and won in the 7th overtime 79-76.

That's crazy man! You just turn it off in the main menu or in dynasty as well (two entirely different animals, though they both have their merits).
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

        Hey Josh,

When you have time could you elaborate on the "relative merits" of each? Specifically, what does each do that the other doesn't etc.

        Thanks much!

Off in dynasty: CPU is crazy good and aggressive throughout whole game. But no autosubs.

Off in main menu only: CPU is still good, but not in an op way (but you do need sub freq at 50 to accomplish this - higher sub frequencies don't play quite as well.) Autosubs happen still and there is no second half 'fade'.

I for one want to see subs to challenge depth... so turning fatigue off in the main menu with sub frequency at 50 globally is a good middle ground to avoid that second half collapse.

That was a crazy game. I thought that game would never end, lol. Played a couple more since then and had a 21-20 game vs ole miss and was blown out 45-21 by Mississippi st. Love the no quit play from the cpu.

Just curious, what exactly does having a different slider set on the main menu do? Like why change the set you have in your dynasty? Read through the thread a little and didn't see a real answer to that.

It's hard to describe, but it is either a blending or something along the lines one setting affecting the tendency and the other the animation. One thing for sure....the RBA slider:
                  • If I set both RBA sliders (MM and Dynasty) at 45, the running backs will show good moves, use their special moves and so on, but minimal force after impact...in most cases, one hit brings them down and their vision is mediocre.
                  • If I set them both at 100 (or anything above 50 for that matter), they run effectively, but you don't see the spin moves, speed burst, hurdles, etc. Additionally, they don't tire as quickly and fumbles don't happen as often (if at all).
                  • If I set them as in the OP (100 in MM and 45 in dynasty), it blends the good. They show better vision and with more force (from the 100 RBA slider) but they still use their moves, still fatigue relatively normally, and you see fumbles. Basically, it's a melding of the two.

It's still very much a work in progress, but I really like how the game is playing with this setup.

Hey guysss i have been following the Thread for a few weeks catching up, reading from the start... anyways i have 3 Questions if anyone wants to chime in.

Josh (or anyone) do you have any Madden 25 sliders that you could recommend? i would like to try using one of the imported draft classes at some point. ive tried so many sliders but its not fun at all anymore... either im winning way too easily or the sliders are set to where its difficult but unrealistic (ie - getting lit up by a 70 overall QB) ....its a bummer, i dont watch college football at all but i play this game wayyyy more then any other football game (on the ps3) bc it feels so much better and i dont feel like stupid things happen for no reason (ala madden). one main problem is why do you get WR's and CB's in the draft in (madden 25) with speeds in the 70s? you would never make it to the NFL if you were that slow it makes no sense lol. at least in NCAA you can go in and change anyone's skills. why couldnt they put that in madden? at least let us change rookies names...

Why is the kick power slider set so high at 75? does the kick power effect another aspect of the game ? ive heard people say things like that, such as a higher pass block rating actually makes your WRs catch better.

also i prefer playing lower scoring games.. probably bc as ive stated i prefer NFL and i dont follow college football. i hate how some games turn into 40-45 shootouts. i know to some extent it cant be helped... but is there any way to change the sliders a tad without messing up the whole thing? i was thinking of just upping Tackle a little on both sides to help out the Rush Def and upping Interceptions a bit as well to help the pass Def .....

                      1. Sorry, forgot to respond to your PM. Not much idea on M25 sliders. If sms is still strolling around here, he might be able to help you via PM.

                      2. The kick power slider is high because it has been that way for so long, I really haven't revisited it. I know for sure the other special teams sliders have deleterious effects on other areas of gameplay. As such, I have left it alone.

                      3. If you want to tone down the offense on both sides, one change: lower CPU RBA from 100 to 45 in the main menu settings. Just remember, college is a different game. Bad RBs on bad teams rush for under 5 yards per carry and shootouts are the norm (lots of people make the mistake of thinking the NFL 'gold standard' of 4 yards per carry as the norm for college and it is SO wrong. I made the CPU offense tough for the challenge. I purposely designed these sliders to reflect college ball, not the NFL. My Madden sliders are designed to reflect the NFL....very different games.

Another way to approach this is to lower the coach defensive aggression for your team and your opponent to 35 or lower (set in coach menu for all three coaches).

                              Heyyy thanks guys..

yeah i know its not the NFL i just think i want it to play like that bc i cant get madden to play well haha...

i moved tackle +10 and int +5 and i got a nice tight game out of it. its just one game though...

and ive tried GJD23 and WTBB's sliders.. theyre too Comp favored. i read every page of their thread a few weeks back to see why it was set the way it is... theyre going for a "good challenge" but to me its not even enough play on both sides. having the comp QBA at 100 just makes every QB robo/play the same/90% completion. when i have CB's with 90something overalls and theyre getting destroyed by WR's that are in the mid 70s overalls..... thats just not fun at all nor does it make any sense.

also side note :: a common complaint i see is everyone getting too many sacks... i tried leaving every penalty slider the same but i moved Int Grounding to 60 to see how it would play (because every slider recommendation has it at either 0 or 99 it seems) and i prefer it very much. i actually had a game where i had ZERO sacks!

heres an observation: with Int grounding at 0... on 3rd and long if the comp goes for a HB screen but you are ready for it and you get in position to defend the pass before its thrown... the QB will ALWAYS just drop back and take a big -9 yard sack. well after i moved Int grounding to 60 the same scenario resulted in the comp QB throwing the ball away before my D-line could get to him. its not a guarantee every time but ive played a few games with Int Grounding at 60 and id say about half the screens get thrown away (the ones that are well defended)

You would think their computer favor until you actually get used to them and then it's a battle of who makes the right call
