I'll test it for another couple of games to see which gameplay I like better (either easy gameplay or having to come from behind in every game).
And give turning it off across the board a shot. You won't get any autosubs, which I can't stand, but people like the gameplay quite a lot.

Do I need to re-download the roster file? The one I currently have saved has the sub frequencies set at 60 across the board.

My testing with fatigue ON in both MM and Dynasty didn't go too well. CPU was too weak, especially on defense. I had 2 blowout wins against teams of similar quality.
I'm currently towards the end of my 2nd season, C-USA Championship Game and a Bowl Game are next. I'll play those with the instructions from the OP (fatigue OFF in MM, ON in Dynaysty) but after that I'll do some more testing during my 3rd season.

Could you briefly explain what to expect from turning fatigue OFF across the board? How does the CPU play? Having no auto-subs is a major turnoff for me but if it's the only way for me to get good gameplay I might consider it for next season.

60 isn't too bad....but the CPU won't play quite as well. The CPU passing game may not have as much variety (and maybe more screens and insta-throwaways) and the CPU run game will be more toned-down.

You know that first half "burst" you mentioned from the CPU when they are unstoppable....it's that the entire game. I don't care for it personally....and the no autosubs make it even more of a "non-starter" for me.

Before you go too hardcore into looking at things...fire up a new dynasty with my roster and just play a couple of games. See if it is different for you....it may simply be a roster issue.

Another thing you can try is to play other games within your current dynasty (you can always exit out before they end if you want to maintain "the integrity" of the sim). Sometimes using really low level teams can have some wonky results....maybe it is simply the fact that your opponents are all weaker is the reason you're constantly able to come back from behind.

No, like I downloaded the roster from this thread a while back. I've been manually adjusting every coach back down to 50 before every game, but I thought you said every coach has been mass-edited to 50 now. Did I misread that, or should I see if I just have an older version of the roster?

I recently uploaded a version that has the mass edit to 50 sub freq.

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14

I've just played the Orange Bowl with the settings from the OP.

#6 FIU (82 OVR) beats #5 UCLA (93 OVR) on a last second FG 29-28 after being behind 21-6 at halftime. I've played the game in Coach Mode to make sure my user skills are out of the equation.

So even in Coach Mode it's still the same - CPU is unstoppable at the start of the game, but as the game progresses the CPU gets weaker and weaker.

EDIT: To make it clear - I have won the game but I consider it highly unrealistic. I'd rather lose against a far superior opponent.

Josh: What do you think would happen if I turned fatigue ON in MM and OFF in Dynasty? How would gameplay change?

Not sure, you won't get subs though...

Did you try my suggestion of another roster and/or using different teams within your current dynasty? If so, how did it go?

So I just turn fatigue off in the main menu to get the non collapse with this roster

Hey so I just thought of something we might as well put all penalties off since there are barely any penalty calls. I put them all at 0 and it was such a nicer game everyone was playing hard and tough. I suggest that and then having the cpu and hum skill to whatever style the user wants.

Penalties are not set to get calls, but to modify the gameplay. I have tried the 'all zero' approach, but was not a huge fan....that said, it was a very long time ago and we've learned a lot since then, may be worth re-visiting.

Still playing used to follow your guy's ideas a lot...

Did you ever come to a go to setting on the Intentional Grounding setting?

I see it at 0, just curious why its there?

QBs are more willing to take chances and target their outside receivers. It's relative to other settings of course, but I definitely prefer this setting over any other we have tried.

I have been playing/watching (cpu vs cpu) NCAA 14 for years and thanks to josh and j kits for those sliders. Its the most realistic play I have seen. I am using a little of both you guys sliders.
