Does the defense run/pass ratio need to be exactly 50 because when I go to set it, it will only change to 49 or 51.

Also, will the CPU still throw deep balls because I played vs Oklahoma St and I only saw them throw deep when they absolutely had to like on 3rd and long. Most of their other throws were to the sideline or in the flats for minimal gains.

I want to give some more input since I’ve put in a big sample size of games now with this setup. It works near perfectly as long as you play sim. But I’ll go even further, especially on offense, and say that you probably shouldn’t use shotgun run plays.

I noticed this when I played against an overly superior defense in Michigan. I was using a UNLV team rated 75 OVR, with an offensive line with RBL and IBL at an average of 80. Michigan’s defensive line’s BSH rated 88, 86, 89, and 87. They also had a linebacker with 98 BSH. There was no resistance running up the gut from the shotgun. And as soon as my HB (84 OVR) got hot, he was able to run from under center fairly easily too. It’s not like I was spamming the run either. It’s just that every time I ran, I would gain an average of 7-8 yards, subsequently opening up the passing game. As an aside, I had already abandoned the read option several games before this as it was becoming unstoppable.

From this Michigan game, I started to see a pattern where I would have close games against powerhouses, and would blow out any team similar to my team’s rating. I realized that I was going to have to run from the pistol or under center. This made things a lot more challenging. But I’m still frustrated that I had to cut out a lot of this game’s offense to do so.

At this point, I'm just convinced certain offensive schemes basically require certain slider sets. That there is no "one fits all" set. I run a strict shotgun-only playbook, so I use Matt's sliders, which HUM Run Blocking is at 5, and my own tweak of CPU Rush D to 45. Let's me use shotgun runs without unrealistically abusing the CPU at will. Keeps the QB option in check too.

For an existing dynasty, do it within in the dynasty. If you are starting a fresh dynasty, do it to the roster file in the main menu.

Josh- is your roster on PSN with the coach and fatigue edits made?

Same, and i don’t know the answer, but i believe you need a mass editor to get it set to 50 exactly. That being said, i believe 51 would be where you want to set it for the desired results

The only big problem I'm seeing with these sliders is the CPU rushing. I played against Stanford and Bryce Love had some good runs here and there, but would constantly run diagonally instead of running through the holes straight on. I feel like the only way to counteract this is to raise the CPU RB ability but I don't think its very realistic because every CPU RB would seem to be highly skilled.

I was having a similar problem until I started only usering the D end and never switching. Last game I played the CPU ended with 23 carries for 90 yards. Their #1 RB had something like 10 carries for 40 yards and he wasn't anything special ( Florida International RB). You also have to remember the end of game stats put sacks in as rushing attempts which is crazy. So at the end of the game it said they had 28 carries for 60 yards. But I got 5 sacks for about -30 yards. So that ends up being 23 for 90 really.

College has always subtracted sack yardage from total rushing, that is how they track stats

I’ve been working hard on a coach mode set based off of josh’s auto subs and coaching sliders and some other features of his set as I did about a year ago. Sometimes he lets me post here but I’ll also maybe start a new thread for those interested. My last game had completion % at 64 and 61 and 7 total deflections, and two (legit non qb) fumbles; it was a thing of beauty

Yeah I'm not worried about the rushing stats, it's more about how the CPU is actually running the ball. I also noticed that they run with their head down a lot or stiff arm the air which I think slows them down some

Has anyone had an issue where the RB on a toss play stops running or has a serious hesitation resulting in a tackle losing yards? Any sliders to address that?

You have to have the dynasty speed set to Normal...any other speed setting will cause that glitch.
