          Yes because it's an offline CFM.

                In the workaround where you set 31 teams to autopilot and “un-autopilot” them for games against you I have noticed 2 things happen.
                Firstly, no matter what CPU settings I had for that team, they will not sign any in-season free agents unless they drop below the roster minimum requirements… so will not pick up a recently cut veteran who can help the team, or a high rated guy who slipped through offseason free agency. They will sign offseason free agents, trade in-season and in the draft and have the normal team logic otherwise.
                Secondly, with 31 teams set to autopilot the draft shoots to your pick so fast there is no chance of trading up during the draft. You can still trade down but it was a shock when I was planning on trading up and found in a few seconds I was already at my original pick.

                  If you really want the best experience with this game IMO do 32 team control and no freaking auto pilot.

                  Set everything to auto (and weekly or every 4 weeks progression) for the other 31 teams and off you go.

                  Done.

                    So, even though we are doing the sibgke team method or the 32 man, computer teams confidence are still pretty high. Handful of guys in the league who are in the 90's. Was this known already? As far as my team. Few guys in 60's after 10 games, most of the 50's.

                    Edit: I have two players at an 84, 4 in the 70's, and about 10 in the 60's. Thing is, i just got manhandled by Seahawks 42-21. Not sure how much affect it has. Russel Wilson was a 93 confidence and only completed 52% of his passes for like 223 and 2Tds.

                        Correct me if I'm wrong, but without Auto-Pilot, you lose the 'coaching carousel' in the off-season. Some of us don't want to hire/fire coaches for the CPU...that's one of the main reasons I'm keeping Auto-Pilot On for my 32 team Owners-league.

                        At a bare minimum, Auto-pilot should be on for the staffing portion of the off-season for those of us who have no desire to select or create coaches for the CPU controlled teams...then you could always turn it off again once the coaches have been hired/fired.

                          I tried auto pilot on my 32 owners. It turned drive goals back on. I like doing the coaches, so I'll leave auto pilot off.

                            I've played through 4-weeks with Auto-pilot on (remember, you have to turn it off for the team you play against that week), I haven't seen a single 'Drive Goal' and Confidence is progressing and regressing very naturally.

                            Off the field, the CPU controlled teams have traded amongst themselves and generally done a good job managing their own rosters...so far, I see no reason to abandon Auto-Pilot.

                              Yeah, I meant with it on, drive goals came back. I just test everything for myself to see what I like the best. I like hiring coaches because then I can pick guys whose scheme works well with the key players on the roster.

                              I did not see any CPU trading or signing of free agents when I had it on (for 1 season until playoffs). Are you saying you do get those things? That was the main reason I even bothered testing it was I wanted the CPU to handle their rosters better in season. If this is true I'd have to consider using auto pilot in season. It's such a pain to toggle it, though. No idea why it kicks you back two screens each time.
