I'm seeing plenty of activity on the trade front in my 32-team owner franchise (offline).

There shouldn't have been anything to miss. You press on the right stick and it brings up the hub and you can add a player. Pretty sure there isn't a certain time it has to be done. You could sim 10 weeks in and still do it. So I think you might just be looking in the wrong spot. Unless I am missing something...

Do we have to scout for every team with 32 set up?

No. When you sim picks in the draft for the other 31 teams they will draft fine.

Also as long as you set game prep to auto for the other 31 coaches it will sim that as wel.

If I do the method where I just create a coach for my opponent that week and then retire him. Draft day trades will work, right? Bascially doing it that way will allow computer to do everything like we are accustomed to?

Bascially 32 set up is for me to have as much control or as little control over the league as I want.

The one team method is just there so I don't have drive goals, but I won't have control over the other 31 teams. They will even do draft day trades etc...? Only downside I see to this is coaches losing their earned progression for the season when you retire them?

Answers my own questions with a few sims. Doing the method where you create a coach before you play a team and then retire him after game allows the league to move as if we never had to do these work around. Cpu teams trade during the draft etc...

I just wasn't sure if it worked or not. I think that might be the best way for me to play instead of the 32 team control.

What about losing their earned progression?

How annoying to have to jump through all these hoops every year to get past this game's poor software.

Progression does indeed stay even though it says if you retire coach it will reset.

Week 4 was 49ers and Packers. I created a player for McCarthy he was a level 25 with 2780 xp before game. I simmed game and he had 3180 xp after game.

I retired McCarthy and got the prompt it will erase progression. I then created a new player for McCarthy again and he was still a level 25 with 3180 Xp. . Good to know.

Any advantages or disadvantages to being a coach or owner?

Great find. So auto subs don't work for sim games either right? So this method works great unless you want to control stuff for other teams. I'm leaning toward going this way.

Yeah. I never saw a difference setting auto subs for sim games or having them off. Some games multiple backs would get carries with them on and some games they wouldn't. Same with them off. I had one sim game with them off and Titans ran the ball 62 times. No auto subs were touched for them.

What I would do is when you create the player for your opponent, just change the auto subs for them for your head to head game. No idea if it matters or but doesn't take long to change them.

This sounds really good. So I guess my only question is what about the rosters and depth charts, I have read the CPU butchers them during the preseason if you don't control all 32 and do the cuts and reorder the depth charts for all teams.

                            Guys,

First off, great work to everyone that's contributed ideas, tutorials, and workarounds in regards to 32 team control. Think it's gone a long way towards convincing folks like myself that it's time to take the plunge, and had a couple questions for people that are already have them set up and running---

1/Saw someone mention that SuperSim is disabled with 32 team control. Is that true?

2/About the CPU teams not making trades, is it possible to set the other coaches to AUTO just until the trade deadline, so they'll make trades on their own, and then switch it back later on? If that works, could also be a way to engineer some draft day trades as well.

Thanks again for all this, and can't wait to dive into my own 32-team set-up!

They do. That's always been an issue in solo team franchise. Only way around this would be controlling all 32 and making the cuts yourself. I personally don't care because I want my own NFL world. If it matters to you, 32 team control is your best bet. Just know computer will not trade during the draft and it looks as if coaches don't use their xp.
