Edit: I have two players at an 84, 4 in the 70's, and about 10 in the 60's. Thing is, i just got manhandled by Seahawks 42-21.
I don' think this kind of distribution is necessarily a bad distribution.

that said I really hate the confidence system.

Yeah, not sure how much affect it has. Russel Wilson was a 93 confidence and only completed 52% of his passes for like 223 and 2Tds.

There is nothing wrong with putting in RPG elements into a sports video game...look at MLB The Show and NBA2k...they do it, all sports video games do it ..and a lot of people enjoy it..more so than you realize. The problem comes when they do not allow options to turn these things off for those that do not like them or better yet make them into a completely separate mode. THE future is implementing rpg elements into sports games..we can clearly see that by now...again, its giving the user the options to select what they want..GIVE OPTIONS to the users , this could save so much negative feedback, developers need to realize this. It's sorta like making sure sliders are effective so the user can adjust the game to their liking.

Madden 16 overall is by far the best game Tiburon has put out in a very long time...the positives far out-weight the negatives but if they had given people the option to turn off things like drive goals..that would save them a lot of grief for those in here having issues.

@ClintOldenburg Confidence system really throws CFM out of whack. Really hinders enjoyment of the mode.

@bkrich83 yeah, we are aware of how ya'll feel. You guys have documented them at length. Some improvements coming in future patch

It makes me happy that they are listening this year. This would be huge if they can fix it.

I sure hope because this is the first year I have not started a CFM with my cousins and dad. We normally do one every year, but until the whole confidence/drive goal and progression system is fixed there is no point in getting started.

I hope much sooner than later, I have poor patience

                Is this right?

                2. I don't see any "drive goal" notifications in-game, but how does this workaround actually prevent them from happening? I'm not complaining at all but seems like a weird workaround to prevent drive goals.

Like how did you know this would work?
You are correct on #1. Go back to the characters list and select the coach for the team you play. Play your game, and then when you're back in your franchise screens, just make sure you retire the other coach before you advance the week.

This is a fantastic fix and while it sounded complicated to me at first, it's so simple and painless. Great job by booker finding this. As a long-time Madden player, I am glad to have such an easy workaround so that I don't have to control 31 other teams, set up a dummy controller, send my disc back to fix draft classes, or boil the game in hot water!

Booker - Thanks again for your workaround, it's 'saved' the game for me for now. I have to ask though, how did you ever figure this out?

Awesome not let hope they don´t fix this "bug" just in case the tuning is not exactly that good. To be honest i would like to disable this feature, the AI doesn´t get Drive goals. I want an even ground.

Someone said about that on his 32 team control teams offline didn´t show the drive goals for some reason (credits to this unknown guy, he is the one that open this 32 team control door, not me, not Armors) so i tested and since i was to lazy to do all the 32 team configuration since i was not sure if that would actually work i said, ok, i would just create the one team i´m going to play against. If it work i would create the 30 remaining.

Then i wondered, what if i retired him? I did. and then i said, what if i advance week and i do the same? i did, and it worked. So this is basically this is how i figure this out. BUT i had some bumps on the road. For example, i started creating Owners instead of coaches. And the Owner it let you only to retire him once. And it also reset the team funds, so it was 1.- once time only 2.- i was crippling the opponents teams in fund. Not good.

So i tried the coach. And it work perfectly So i did this guide since i know many are like me that don´t want to control the whole team and prefer a solo CFM without affecting any other feature.

It was a game saver for me as well.

Booker21, I'm going to test this out later tonight, but I'd like to ask a question. What if after a game, I don't use any points towards confidence, will confidence still rise, stay the same or be be decreased?

If you don't use any game prep for confidence it will only rise and fall with outstanding or on the other side sub par performances for each player, that being said those changes are far less drastic as seen with drive goals. So for example your QB is pressured and sacked all game his OL confidence may go down 1-2 points which is 'realistic'. Now with drive goals on the majority of your team may get 3-6 point boosts in confidence just for chewing the clock for 2 minutes, getting a tackle for a loss and throwing a TD pass instead of running it in.

Yeah. Confidence without the drive goal make a lot more sense. The problem personally is the drive goals. I strongly believe that this was implemented later on the development cycle because it make no sense and is really unbalance. This only works toward the user since the AI doesn't simulate this drive goals.

So let me make sure I have this straight before I potentially try it later....

Prior to my game I add a character and that character is the HC of the my next opponent.

Play my game and not have drive goals (which don't really bother me much as a coach moder)

Prior to advance to the next week post-game, retire my character and advance

it's as simple as that correct?
F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!
