Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
Madden 16 overall is by far the best game Tiburon has put out in a very long time...the positives far out-weight the negatives but if they had given people the option to turn off things like drive goals..that would save them a lot of grief for those in here having issues.Last edited by Moegames; 09-17-2015, 12:03 AM...You win some, you lose some

@ClintOldenburg Confidence system really throws CFM out of whack. Really hinders enjoyment of the mode.Clint Oldenburg @ClintOldenburg 2h2 hours ago

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
I sure hope because this is the first year I have not started a CFM with my cousins and dad. We normally do one every year, but until the whole confidence/drive goal and progression system is fixed there is no point in getting started.
I hope much sooner than later, I have poor patienceComment

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
Couple of things:
1. I *think* I have this setup correctly? Before Game 1, hit R3, create new coach for the team I'm about to play against. But then if I try to play that game as MY team I have to switch the coach I just made back to my owner in order to actually play with my team.
Is this right?
2. I don't see any "drive goal" notifications in-game, but how does this workaround actually prevent them from happening? I'm not complaining at all but seems like a weird workaround to prevent drive goals.
Like how did you know this would work?
This is a fantastic fix and while it sounded complicated to me at first, it's so simple and painless. Great job by booker finding this. As a long-time Madden player, I am glad to have such an easy workaround so that I don't have to control 31 other teams, set up a dummy controller, send my disc back to fix draft classes, or boil the game in hot water!Comment

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
Awesome not let hope they don´t fix this "bug" just in case the tuning is not exactly that good. To be honest i would like to disable this feature, the AI doesn´t get Drive goals. I want an even ground.English, is not my first language.Comment

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
Then i wondered, what if i retired him? I did. and then i said, what if i advance week and i do the same? i did, and it worked. So this is basically this is how i figure this out. BUT i had some bumps on the road. For example, i started creating Owners instead of coaches. And the Owner it let you only to retire him once. And it also reset the team funds, so it was 1.- once time only 2.- i was crippling the opponents teams in fund. Not good.
So i tried the coach. And it work perfectly So i did this guide since i know many are like me that don´t want to control the whole team and prefer a solo CFM without affecting any other feature.
It was a game saver for me as well.Last edited by booker21; 09-17-2015, 11:01 AM.English, is not my first language.Comment

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
Booker21, I'm going to test this out later tonight, but I'd like to ask a question. What if after a game, I don't use any points towards confidence, will confidence still rise, stay the same or be be decreased?Comment

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
If you don't use any game prep for confidence it will only rise and fall with outstanding or on the other side sub par performances for each player, that being said those changes are far less drastic as seen with drive goals. So for example your QB is pressured and sacked all game his OL confidence may go down 1-2 points which is 'realistic'. Now with drive goals on the majority of your team may get 3-6 point boosts in confidence just for chewing the clock for 2 minutes, getting a tackle for a loss and throwing a TD pass instead of running it in.Comment

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
Yeah. Confidence without the drive goal make a lot more sense. The problem personally is the drive goals. I strongly believe that this was implemented later on the development cycle because it make no sense and is really unbalance. This only works toward the user since the AI doesn't simulate this drive goals.

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM
So let me make sure I have this straight before I potentially try it later....
Prior to my game I add a character and that character is the HC of the my next opponent.
Play my game and not have drive goals (which don't really bother me much as a coach moder)
Prior to advance to the next week post-game, retire my character and advance
it's as simple as that correct?F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!Comment
