When I did this without this method the colts would automatically choose their blue home uniforms, however, with this method they kept their white uniforms resulting in both teams having all white uniforms with white helmets... obviously a problem.

I tried changing the colts uniform under pagano's user then changing back and playing as the bills but that didnt work.
Turn on another controller and manually change your opponents uniform.

True, but if you only own one controller then you're SOL

I am glad to see this because it sounds way easier then the 32 team thing. That was hurting my head. The only thing is I am sure I will at some point forget to do this before a game in less ea fixes this before I start my CFM that I have yet to start because I am still messing with sliders right now.

My goodness....how is this thread not stickied?

This workaround absolutely saves CFM for me this year. I have no interest or time to do a 32 team setup. I just want to run my team, let the CPU run the others and create my own little NFL universe. I'm not OCD about what other teams are doing - NFL teams make horrible personnel decisions every day.

The only thing I wanted to fix was the drive goal glitch (and yes, I do not think that drive goal Confidence carrying over was intentional - if it was....). This works perfectly! Thanks for putting this into a thread booker.

Honestly this thread has really saved me. I was running 32 CFM just to get rid of the drive goals. This is do much easier than the whole 32 man setup. I really appreciate all the work you have done!! Thank you booker!

You are more than welcome. If any mod think this should be sticky I'm ok with it. I just want to help everyone to workaround this "feature" because the game itself is one of the best madden ever.

Couldn't agree more. I can barely find time to manage my own team, forget about 32!

Damn! I wish I found out about this workaround before I started my 32 team CFM lol.

On the flipside, I hate it when CPU controlled teams make some of the dumbest moves ever when they don't need to be made!

Plus I have the CPU do everything else for the 32 teams but none are on autopilot!

                      So to confirm...

Week 1: Create 'character' (NOT coach/owner); Play/Sim game; 'Retire' character; Advance to Week 2.

Once advanced, rinse and repeat above?

                      -------------------

CPU will auto progress players every 4 weeks (if set to 4), and we must either TELL the CPU to auto-progress us every 4, or do it manually ourselves?

How is game prep handled--same as progression? CPU handles it?

                      Thanks so much for everything.

I don't believe choosing a coach for your opponent has any affect on things. I've been selecting the active coach, and things seem fine.

Is there any issues folks are seeing doing that?

No issue. Just as a reminder, you are only selecting the coach for when you play the game, then u retired. All the CPU development and gameprep is done between weeks. The CPU teams are already AI since you retired their coach before advancing week.

So there shouldn´t be any impact by doing this.

Is anybody noticing anything odd while doing the hire and fire coach before, and after every game approach? Like for instance the CPU QB not snapping the ball, and getting delay of game, over and over? It's killing my Franchise. Or is this a known bug? I couldn't see it listed. I'm in week 2 of regular season, and it's happened during two preseason games, and now this week against Broncos. They just stand there. If I try to super sim to next play, I get error. Then I restart Madden, continue where game left off, and things are good for a few plays, then it may do it again, or may not. It's a crap shoot. Played week one just fine.

I noticed this issue 2 or 3 games. What I experience are invisible players. If I tried to super sim the game crashed. What I recommend is to supersim the first kickoff. If it doesn't crash. The game is good. Otherwise start the game without the workaround and quit. And that fix it.

Here are some weird things I saw on this particular game. Only experience this on 2 games of the 30 I played. Invisible players causing offsides on kickoff!

If I super sim on kickoff it will crash the game with standar error. And back to ps4 menu.

So for folks doing Progression every four weeks, are you doing it during week 4 and 8 (at 4 weeks) or 5 and 9? (After 4 weeks)
