Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything
I'm guessing the following could possibly be answered with an objective response considering it's human anatomy and kinesiology . I kind of doubt it's been addressed based on the mini teaser (player models still have protruding knees, bent legs while walking, basically an indication of tight hamstrings, which ultimately affects explosiveness off the blocks), but I would like to know if there were any group discussions about Madden 17 and if anyone talked about their existing player models and movements, and what the future holds for this particular aspect of the game.

Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything
So, the way these events typically go is that we are given a bit of direction on what we should be looking for and where we should focus our efforts. Usually we are looking first at the current year's game, trying to find issues of tuning and testing of new features (I spent sooooo much time messing with pattern matching, kicking, etc). Secondly, we're looking at things that can be implemented for the next title or in a patch for the current one.
Something like what you're talking about requires the player models to be completely reworked, which is honestly beyond the scope of these events. It's just one of those things where everyone knows it's weird, but there's nothing we're going to be able to say that's going to be actionable without a serious commitment.
So no, it didn't really come up. The art department is not really a part of these events.

Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything
Are all defenses using pattern matching on every zone play or do some plays utilize spot dropping?
It would be nice to have the option
Thanks for taking time to answer all these questions.I <3 FootballComment

I'm 99% sure both types of approaches are in the game.Comment

I would hope and expect that if spot dropping is still there that it has been reworked so that none of the underneath defenders still stand around and guard an empty area with no receiver within 20 yards or them.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

I think the logic is reworked, but I didn't test this thoroughly.Comment

I really hope you can answer the above question about half sleeves cause it's something I really want to know as well. I'm not even a big equipment junkie but those are so common in the league today that the game looks weird without them.Comment
