So everytime I have set playbooks for both teams in franchise do I need to keep the 2nd controller as the other team? When I put it back to middle and try to play game it freezes as soon as I call a play from either playbooks

does what swagger coach suggested work ? (check first post of thread.)

Just posted version 2 of my New Orleans and Buffalo Bills playbook... Gave the bills an extra half star more for running plays as run heavy team... Try them out and let me know how they work!!!

can humans use these books in cfm and do you suggest we follow "stragetgy" while in-game ? and using a custom offense pb and custom def pb - will that crash a game in CFM ?

I'm noticing some plays and formations are missing in game. I have a two TE tight pro set in my Raiders custom playbook I like for a few running plays, but they've disappeared. Can't find the formation, can't find the run from any of the menus. Pretty confusing... it's there in the playbook but not there in game...

What do you think of the star-rating(s) system for defensive plays ?

Like in a 3rd a Long, when a team runs 4-Wr set - should be give a Cover 6 drop and a few other good coverage plays, for example, one star and the rest left at half-star ?

Unfortunately on defense we can't differentiate a 3rd and long from a 3rd and short. They can just match up to a formation such as nickel package when offense comes out in 3wr sets, etc...

I'm trying to do the coach/gm way instead of with the 3rd string QB players. D81SKINS says he has gotten it to work but I'm still freezing every single time I set a custom pb for both teams in franchise. If I exit when it freezes and restart game and jump into the autosaved game it will let me play from there on hut I don't want to have to exit Madden before every single game.. I mainly want to control the teams depth charts etc not just be a 3rd string QB with no options. Had to be possible

by using the 3rd or 4th string work-around, how can we still control the depth charts and etc. of the cpu teams ? I do not understand auto-pilot and what they may cause to mess with the cpu changes to rosters, etc. that we may make. I play only offense, so, on 32-team control I guess that we would have to make changes week-by-week. Any one else have experience with this ?

Quick question, searched and couldn't find anything about this:

Do custom user playbooks still put the formations out of order? Example: 4-3, Dime, 4-4, Nickel, Dollar, etc

not sure - you also must finish the entire game when you assign a cpu team a defensive custom pb. I will say this: the defensive custom pb's really can shut down human offense.

Yeah that would be nice to have the situational gameplan on D!
Really hope Rex and EA take a look at the CPU play calling and everything in this thread!

I'll probably create a few - nothing as in depth as I did last year.

I'm thinking I'll do like a VERTICAL offense and a RUN HEAVY offense..then maybe a balanced one.

Just uploaded a Texans rough draft. Still new at this so any feedback is appreciated. Going to test it tomorrow along with another game against the Chargers book.
