to all the great playbook makers out there I got a question for you about the Defensive playbooks on the PS4 I noticed on MaddenShare that there are no team defensive playbooks so would the cpu ai have better play calling if I made every play a 1/2 star, or would I have to do certain stars on certain plays?

Yes but make sure you get rid of cover 0 blitzes unless in goaline...

Just uploaded every team... Im confident hese are the final draft unless I come across any hiccups... Cool thing is I can play same team back to back and get two different game plans... Maybe more testers can see something weird that I'm not...

I don't plan on going all out with the defensive books... Gonna make a few different ones and that's it... Any tips Van?

Could someone help me to get the custom playbook work on CFM? I don't want to create a coach or player. Just use the 2nd controller trick.

Nobody with an answer or insight? Nobody here uses Coach Suggestions to call plays?

I used them. But star are not take it into account for this. Just scenario and even then sometimes it could recommend a play that it's not even listed on the gameplan but it is included on your playbook

Hey guys this is not working for me. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I created a 2nd profile. When I go to play the game changed the playbook for the CPU. Go back and go again back in to start the game. I star directly without adding anything and it just revert back to original team specific. Any idea? Do I need to create a player or coach? Can I avoid that in any way?

I had the same issue. Only remedy was to set the game up with custom playbooks through advanced settings in menu right before the games. Once both are set you need to back out with the main controller to your franchise menu then go back to the game. Now don't touch the advanced settings button just move CPU controller to the middle and it will remember the playbook u set for it. Only way I could avoid the freezing. Just don't touch anything besides ready button the 2nd time u go into the controller select screen. Lemme know if this helps

I followed your instructions precisely and unfortunately I'm still having crashing issues. I've even tried tested the procedure with and without access to the internet but I'm consistently crashing at the loading screen. I've tried 4 times already and without success.

Just to recap, here is the exact procedure I took:
1. Turn the PS4 on and load up madden with my primary profile
2. Turn on my secondary profile
3. Go back to primary profile and load up franchise
4. Use secondary profile to alter playbooks in "advanced settings"
5. Back out of game and return to franchise dashboard with primary controller
6. Go back into game with primary controller
7. Move secondary controller over to the middle, away from the team I'm playing against
8. Use main controller/profile to play the game
9. Game crashes

Is there anything wrong with what I did?

I've done an initial cut of Minnesota, Arizona and Carolina.

Going to keep plowing through the rest then go back and tweak with team tendencies. Right now they are focused on removing bad cpu plays and run/pass ratios for the teams. Carolina has a slight red zone preference for cam and Olsen but need to adjust it more. If you play with them, let me know your thoughts.

Edit: Added New England. Best one I've done. Just played them with the Bengals. They won 25-16. Brady was 37 of 53 for 359 and a TD. Gronk had 11 for 157 and a TD. Hogan, Edelman, Washington and Amendola all had 4 for between 40 and 50 yards. Blount went for 47 on 15 carries.

Just played against NE with Green Bay. Won 24-17. Garoppolo went 15/21 for 202 yds, 2 TDS, and a INT. Blount was very good on the ground with 18 carries and 84 yds. The CPU ran the ball much better than they ever have (normally I would see 12-15 carries by all backs... Blount, Lewis and White combined for around 30).

Can't remember specific stats of the top of my head but Jimmy made sure all his receivers touched the ball. Hogan was around 5 and 50, Amendola was around 4 and 80, Edelman was on lock the whole game. Only alarming thing, which I'll go and test again was that Gronk had 4 receptions for 23 yards. He was targeted in the redzone once (they got there 3 times) but the pass was incomplete. His yards came from running 3 flat routes and a drag route. Other than that, everything was great, probably the best game I've played against the CPU so far.

Well you got somewhere. Mine it's just going with team specific pb.

Maybe someone could make a quick video with ps4 share this could be fast.

That's crazy about gronk given what he did to me. I used a modified version of my pats playbook on the saints and fleener went off as well. Almost too much.

Can't wait to test out your playbooks, Dogs!! The more playbooks you make, the more little tricks you'll pick up on.

One is actually carefully controlling how often the TE is featured in a play. The CPU LOVES passing to TE's and this can make it difficult for WR dominant teams (Arizona, Atlanta, Pittsburgh) to properly play.

A few other things I've seen just from initial testing (and past experience):

- Get rid of stick and curls flats concepts. The CPU really struggles with them and it often leads to 1-2 yard plays or sacks
- Be mindful of how many plays the HB runs a route with. If you're up against a QB who is NOT Force Pass: Aggressive, he will tend to go check down crazy. Meaning the HB will end up with 7-8 receptions if you're not careful. My solution is to simply edit every QB to Force Pass: aggressive but that's a different conversation
- Be mindful of 3rd and medium routes. The CPU generally has poor 1st down line awareness. So let's say it's 3rd and 7 for the CPU. If you have 2 routes that go beyond 7 yards but 2 that don't, the CPU will often gleefully chuck it short. So think about having all 4 routes go beyond 7 yards if that makes sense.

In my experience, you HAVE to have another profile running - even using 2 controllers.

I have but it's crashing. What I'm doing wrong?

This is what I did.

1. Download all playbooks from the secondary profile.
2. Create a new coach form the Rams since I will play against them.
3. Go back to my team and select play game.
4. With the 2nd controller I went to advance and change the playbook for custom.
5.-I return back to the CFM screen.
6.-select game and move the 2nd controller from the Rams and put it in the middle.

Selected ready and it start loading and it crashed. Tried with another custom and same thing.
